Got my fence board here, helpful staff and decent pricing on everything

They charged my contractor $5.74 per LF for the WR Cedars!! The same item can be found for ~$1.7 per LF in Lowes or Home Depot. I can’t comment on the quality (they look good so far) but the price seems extremely off.

I ordered heart redwood for delivery and most of it was marked or damaged in some way. It seemed as if the material that I received had come from the bottom of a very old pile as it was pretty beat up or warped. Fortunately I was still able to use the wood with some staining and hiding of the damaged parts. IMO, dont purchase wood from here that you have not checked/selected yourself.Also, the ordering process was surprisingly difficult. I have had better experiences elsewhere.

Service was good and quick. They have a good variety of lumber.

I have lived in Campbell since 1986. Drive by this place on a regular basis but have never thought about utilizing until today and I am SO GLAD I DID! I needed a piece of plywood cut. During COVID I have to be extra careful and they made it so easy! I told Mike D. what I needed and everything was completed over the phone. Received a call that it was ready and BOOM!...I drove up, associate waited on me. Gave me receipt, loaded into car and off I went. Will DEFINITELY utilize again! Oh yeah, I went the wrong way upon entering and a very nice gentleman driving the forklift gave me explicit instructions to the entrance. Economy Lumber...youve got my vote!

I have been looking for some quality Redwood to make an outdoor patio table. The big box stores serve a purpose. But quality lumber in off sizes is impossible to find. A couple weeks ago I walked into Economy Lumber. I’ve known about them for decades but never bothered to go into the place.I am soooo glad I did. The fella at the counter was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about what I was asking for. He worked fast and wrote up the order. When I went out to the yard, the lumber was loaded very fast. After one 4x4 was loaded, the fella that loaded it saw a crack on one end that was so small I wouldn’t have seen. He replaced it with a much better 4x4.All the wood was of great quality. I made the table and it’s absolutely amazing looking.Thank you Ecomony Lumber

Didnt know this place existed until a week ago. Being a newbie DIYer, Home Depot and Lowes didnt have a specific size I needed, so I was forced to Google how to get it. These guys were up there on the list that I found and they are local in the south bay, great! I first emailed and got good customer service from John. I went in to do the order and the whole process was easy as can be. Since it was my time here I didnt know the process and everyone I dealt with was super helpful. Also, I felt very comfortable with the Covid restrictions they had... temperatures at the door, limited people, one way in and out, etc. Last but not least, even though Im a newbie, I felt the prices were very competitive... Screw Home Depot, Im coming here from now on!

Ordered redwood construction heart lumber for 1.5x over the Home Depot price as the sales guy told me their lumber is of a much superior grade. Just look at the pictures to see what got delivered. Had to waste time and money returning it to the store, original payment got refunded but nobody even apologized for the wasted time or offered to solve the problem in any way. How are they still in the business with these prices, quality and client service?

Rude management. defective productive. terriable customer service.I made a purchase with this company on friday and have my friends picked up all the Lumber the same day. It was raining that day. The Lumber they brought out to us has no cover or wrap.I didnt like the quality of that Lumber. On Tuesday We brought Lumber back. Economy Lumber refused to accept the return. They claimed that those Lumber has been rain-soaked by us for a few days, and all sales are final.They have left their Lumber outside uncovered in the rain. We have photos to prove (images taken by iPhone with time-stamped).As far as the sales term, it has not included in my online purchase order. (I have a purchase order email to prove). If I knew such a sales term, I wouldnt purchase from them.After they refused to take back the product, I called their manager Mr. J.D. twice. He declined to make the return. He threatened me that dispute with the credit card company is fraudulent behavior. He refused to take back those defective products and credit back the charges.I disputed the charge with American Express and requested to return ALL the product five times. Economy Lumber refused to accept the return. Instead, they sent a fake purchase order to American Express. (I have a copy from American Express to prove). They have attached a copy of their sales term. They have handwritten my name on that as if I have signed and agreed with their terms. Ive not been to their store and have never signed any paperwork there.Please read the response from the owner below. How ridiculous!!!

Lumber company and sales department are always on point and willing to help, the downside is the loaders or yard employees. Recently Ive gotten some attitude from them. If they dont like their job (tending to customers) why do they continue to be employed in the same job?

My family runs a custom woodworking business in Los Gatos we have been here 40 years and economy lumber has always been great and always will be they have what you need when you need it. Everyone is nice and very helpful.

Its a bit intimidating if your not a contractor in here, but they have the lumber we needed at a good price. Very helpful in loading the stuff into our pick-up and gave us a red flag cause it was too long. The guys were pretty friendly, but seemed annoyed when my bf didnt know something about the wood he was buying.

Solid shop. This is a long-established family-run independent lumber yard with a decades-old reputation for customer service and support for the community. It beats the big box stores by a mile when it comes to lumber, selection of the most-used tools, and knowledgeable advice. Its not just a solid shop - these are solid people.

I was in and out in 15 minutes during a busy time of day when they are short staffed. I actually didnt follow protocol and drove into the yard first. The first yard guy came and apologized for my wait, helped right away and informed me that I should have gone inside first. They put me to the front of the line anyway and boom I was done! First rate customer service!!!

I checked this place out since I get dropped off by my mom, and I used to work for a Lumber yard. The owner and the employees are well friendly serviced, a bit smaller for a lumber yard, well organized into sections, easy to find, and the inside are various materials.

Nice to have a good lumber yard that you can trust!
