I had my alignment done here a few months back. When I got my car back it was leaking antifreeze. I had just bought all brand new tires but the alignment was done so badly that both my backtires are now worn down on the insideI now need to purchase new tires and find and find a place that does good work. Highly recommend to stay away from this place

Brakes werent working, and I had a bunch of driving to do in a few days. They made the repairs much more quickly than I anticipated, and they are close enough to home that I could walk to pick it up. Definitely using them for other services in the future.

Midas quality has dropped significantly I feel like Im paying higher prices for lesser service.

I would recommend Midas on Camden Avenue to anyone looking for low cost high quality workmanship. I have used them a few times after shopping around for prices. They have treated me like they knew me. I take my Mazda Cx5 to the dealership to have my oil changed and tires rotated because before my husband passed away he had prepaid this service for me. The last time I did this, they did not tighten the lug nuts and I drove it like that for a week, knowing something was wrong and getting worse. I took it to Midas, thats where I always choose, they test drove it at first thought it was something else. Within 5 minutes they came to me in disbelief to tell me it was just lug nuts. No charge and possibly saved my life. Midas is the only place I would recommend.

Took my truck in for an oil change and tune up. The oil was not touched the filter was not replaced. The spark plugs they put in were cheap $2 spark plugs that they charged me $15 EACH. There was new damage to the body of my truck as well. When the guy from the front desk called to ask me if I was happy with the repairs, I explained to him that the oil was not changed and the spark plugs were not good quality. And I sent him photos of the new damage to the front panel of my truck that had to have happened in their shop..I never heard from the guy again. MIDAS used to be a name that people could trust. The people running this place give MIDAS a bad name. They should be ashamed of themselves. Deliberately providing shoddy work and being obviously dishonest about parts, repairs, and prices.

I spent $900 getting a complete great job, and about 8 month s after the job the brakes started to squeal. I took it in to see what they could do. Not only did they charge me $35 for the inspection, but they also didnt find anything... Which was bogus because immediately after I left the shop the brakes were squealing. I would give them one star.

First and foremost I just wanted to let you know this is for the Midas in the area of Campbell and San Jose the technician/mechanics name is Antonio. He is ONE of the kindest and helpful mechanic I have ever met my whole life. He did not charge me for fixing my broken gas tank cap. I cant believe it. With whats going on the world right now random acts of kindness like that gives me hope in this world of ours. GOD BLESS YOU ANTONIO!!! Thanks so much Brother!!

The Sunnyvale location sent me here as they couldn’t do the work is they didn’t have the tools but the tech works at both locations. I had an appointment and they did not honor the appointment and blew me off even after I showed them confirmation of the appointment. The person doing customer service was incredibly rude and unprofessional. This location should be avoided at all cost.

I have been taking my car here since I got it 5 years ago. It is a Toyota echo and it was my first car. My Dad is a handy man and he has always approved of every job they have done and the price. The same mechanic has been working on my car for years. I wish I knew his name. He is very friendly and professional. When I first started coming here there was also a nice guy who worked in the office who would give me rides home. Overall, even with changing management I have never had a problem at the local Campbell Midas.

Vic was the coolest most down to Earth dude ever! He gave me a fat discount on my HID ballasts and labor just because he was made that way.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I got charged $300 for a starter that only cost $80 at the most with a Relay. Must be made out of gold or its bedazzled. Not happy, management is always changing and I always felt taken care of before. I only seen one mechanic, felt bad for the guy working for this place. I want to get my car serviced through somebody I have good relations with through this horrible time were in. No longer coming here

Full Synthetic oil change will run you $80+ but the customer service and relatively quick turn around time made it worth it overall. I would recommend them.

I needed to get a catalytic converter and o2 sensor, price was very high but service was good.

Charged me $500 and didnt do any service!!! Tried to charge me $1,100.00 for an oil pan gasket replacement. I guess i paid $500 for wasting their time?

Appointment was at 8AM (opening time) and I had to wait 10 minutes to be served as no one was in the office...and I was misinformed about some information by the front desk person. But, the car service was good.

Brought my VW in here and chatted with Chris and Vince about some suspension work I needed done. They listened and responded in a very knowledgeable way and quoted a reasonable amount for labor.My car proved more difficult than we had expected, but they dealt with everything very fairly and left me very little room for worry. Great guys, definitely! Will be coming here for tires for life.

I’ve been a regular customer from Midas since 2016, and rarely have problems, in fact it is nearly good experience.But it was broken on 9/7/2019. I had a popup alert of “check brake pad wear” displayed in the dashboard. Mercedes Benz dealer gave me a quote about $ 2300 to replace all pads & rotors ,but with OE parts.I thought why not get another opinion from Midas. I told the manager, Mr. Grinder Singh, that I wanted OE parts for my GlE 350, nor Non-OE parts.After performing a inspection, he charged me $1759 for all pads & rotor replacement, compared to Benz dealer’s price, it seems to make sense.So I accepted the quote, but I repeatedly stressed to him that I wanted the OE parts.Although this price is incredibly expensive, I thought I got what I paid for.However, I did a careful check-up on the parts and invoice and found that I got ripped off! I couldn’t believe that Midas used cheap parts to cheat on me, those Centric parts they used were non OE! You can easily find the retail prices from Amazon, sears or other auto shops. They were only 1/3 or even 1/4 of the price I paid! I felt so disappointed and furious that I didn’t sleep well yesterday. So I went to Midas to complain and tried to solve it the next early morning.What makes me more disappointed is that Mr.Singh totally denied the fact. He said that if I paid the Mercedes dealer’s price, he would give me the genuine OE parts.That is to say ,he admitted that he didn’t sell me the OE parts. Since what he sold me was not OE stuff, what did I pay so much for?? I can’t believe there is such a person in the world. I told him I would post the reviews online.He responded “ Go head”！I’m Speechless!

Needed an oil change. Dropped it off at 10 a and it was done at 545p. Staff doesnt answer phone .

The bad :- I went there twice for a check engine. I paid a total of almost 3000$. The check engine light came back every time after a few days. And it was the same error code.- I looked at the parts they charged me, they charged me between 3x and 5x the retail price. For example, a 15$ valve ended up costing 80$. And thats not even counting the cost of labor.- They invent parts that do not exist, and charge you for it. In my car, the fuel filter and fuel regulator are combined in one piece. But they charged me for both, used a correct serial number for the fuel filter and invented a serial number for the regulator.The good :- They pissed me off so much I learned everything I could learn about cars in a couple of months.- I fixed the car myself with a 30$ fuel pressure sensor and 30 minutes of my time.Conclusion :- Dont go there unless you like to waste time and money.

My first visit was for a noise like a faulty exhaust system. They gave me a free inspection & said exhaust system was OK. Said noise was from transmission & said it was overfilled & needed some fluid drained. I said I would take it to a transmission specialist. I believe they were just looking for an excuse to bill me for something. I took the car to Peninsula Transmissions & he could find no fault with the transmission.My second visit less benign. I asked the guy to check the remaining thickness of my front brake pads. He wrote up a repair order for a $28 inspection. I think the brake pad thickness can be determined by visual inspection. Im 85 years old & cant do that stuff any more. Anyhow, after they did the $28 inspection they said I needed a brake job, wheel bearings & oil change for $554.48 which included refund for the inspection. I took the car to a Chevron station & they did the brake job using Ford parts for $422.13.

No use in scheduling appointments here because when you show up at the confirmed time, you still need to wait until a mechanic is free... in my case, an hour later before the work is even started in. The prices quoted assumes that you walk in with a coupon else they charge you full price. Would be more accurate if they quoted you actual prices. Nice staff but business practices need to be better.

I recent had my brakes changed, tires rotated, and oil changed. They were very considerate of my time and even gave me a call to tell me the repairs that needed to be complete with a quote. After I gave them the ok, they had the repairs completed within 2.5 hours. The manager was very helpful.

Usually go here for an oil change. Typically I get a full synthetic oil change and use a Groupon for this purpose. Sometimes they recommend a few repairs but as always automobile related stuff can be very expensive so sometimes I dont end up getting all the recommended repairs but its a decent place.

Charged me 1000 for parts I could’ve gotten for 200 at most. Didn’t even fix all the problems my car had. Said they test drive it but If they did it never went over 30mph. Never coming back to this place.

Really horrible people in this place. First, I found out that they were charging the lady next to me twice more than they were charging me. I knew this because they pull me aside to tell me that when I try to negotiate the price. Second, after replacing a brake pad to both front wheels, I lost both wheelcap because they were never put back properly. I was told it would be replaced for me but never heard from them again.

Appointment the day before, minimum wait time and pleasant pil change service at Groupon discounted price.

Literally the worst service and the worst prices aroundAn oil change at any other place isnt going to cost you more than 50 bucks but no this place charges 70$ like who the hell charges parts and services (20$) on an oil change.Complete waste of time and money!

No Integrity in their business practices. They say whatever it takes to get you in the door and have complete disregard for your time.Went in for tires, was told I needed new struts on a Toyota with 45K miles. Oh well, what are you going to do, theyre the experts. After they installed new struts, I got an intermittent tapping noise from the front wheel well that got worse over time. I set up an appointment with Andrew at the front desk to have it looked at. He said they would put it right on the rack while I waited and let me know what it was, even show me while I was there. I get there at the appointed time and he said I needed to drop it off because they were just too busy. He couldnt tell me when they would be able to take a look at it.I was reallly frustrated and told Anrew so. What he said on the phone was not consistent with what he did when I got there. He got defensive and said I hear this all the time, were not a supermarket you know. I know theyre not a supermarket. Ive never gone into the supermarket to buy some produce, been forced to wait indefinately, waste half a day, and come out with a side of beef I may or may not really need.They may be a trustworth establishment but how would you know?

They gave me a good deal on a hard to find battery (others wanted 240, they gave it to me for under 200). Then when they found that there battery they had wouldnt fit, they gave me a battery that fits for less money.

I fixed my car there and when I took it there was a sound was not there before. When I returned my car to them they told me I have to pay to fix it. I dont know what happened, but I will never go to midas again.
