Very happy with our experience here. Did 2 coffees and 2 bagel sandwiches to go. Coffees were pour your own, so got to fill it up and use mixers as you please (and get more while you wait). Bagels came out nicely toasted. Eggs were good (and fresh) but not overwhelming or with too much cheese. ! had sausage, which was tender and flavorful. Vibe inside is chill and very Maine. Staff was friendly and service was quick.

The bagels are okay. They do not seem to be made fresh daily, as my bagel at 10 AM on a Monday was cold and hard. I dont know if there are better bagels in the area, but if youre coming from Boston or New York and hoping for a real, good bagel, youll be disappointed. The lox bagel did not have much lox, and the coffee was mediocre as well. Its decent, but nothing special.

Used to be a great place about 20 years ago. They have definitely gone downhill. If you want attitude with your order and don’t mind waiting up to an hour for a bagel sandwich, this is the place. They also break Maine code by not providing a restroom for customers. So no washing hands here! The germs are flying around this place! If you want really good coffee and muffins, go to Zoot. If you want a good breakfast, plenty of places on Main or Elm Street like Marriner’s.

Good bagels and coffee, but like a lot of places, severely short-staffed at the moment. So wait times and service takes some patience. Hope they can hire more help soon

I asked for one simple change to my sandwich. They refused. Long wait and argumentative Staff. I just wanted some extra cheese. They Responded with its for the salad. Go Camden Deli 5/5 you will be happy good breakfast and lunch.

Excellent food. They are clearly very busy and understaffed (there is a worker shortage in Maine) but they are fast and kind as they work. We placed a phone order on a week day and picked it up in 15 minutes but on weekends they dont seem to have the capacity to answer the phone.

I should’ve read the reviews about how long it takes to get food and coffee here.We waited 30 minutes for bagel sandwiches and coffee that came out cold and bland.We felt lucky because at least we were sitting down waiting and other people were standing and waiting longer.They are understaffed and about one out of every three things people ordered was out of stock.They are completely unapologetic about how poor the service is.There’s many other choices in Camden so I would go to any of those other places and stay away from here.If you’re looking for coffee only then Zoots is way better and takes 3 minutes rather than 30.

A dine-in restaurant with self-serve coffee but no bathroom and no way for customers to wash their hands. Outrageous in a global pandemic.

I didn’t know a $3.50 coffee order could ruin a vacation but this one came close. Ordered a small hot hazelnut coffee and a large hot dark roast at the order window.20 minutes later it became clear that our coffee-only order would be processed in the line with all of the bagel orders. A person waiting with us said they had been waiting for nearly an hour for their bagel. Another woman asked to cancel her order as she had waited for 30 minutes already. At that point we went back to the order window and asked if they could quickly deal with our coffee order so we could be on our way. The employee agreed and returned with a small hot hazelnut, and a large plastic iced coffee cup filled with HOT dark roast (and no ice). The hot coffee melted the straw and I couldn’t hold the cup as without insulation it was scalding hot. I found a trash and quickly threw it out.It looks like the bagels are great, but the staff just could not manage the orders on what looked like an uncrowded morning.

Im sure some of this is due to the pandemic, but I called ahead to order, they couldnt take my payment over the phone so I payed when we got there and it still took them an hour to get my breakfast sandwich. I eventually asked about it and they said I hadnt paid. I ended up pulling up my payment history to prove I already bought it before I could finally get my (now luke warm) sandwich and head out.Hopefully they can figure out a way to work through the pandemic and get more efficient. I bet they would be great if you went any other time.

For $10.00 I got a breakfast wrap that was lower quality than what you would expect to get at McDonalds. The coffee was undrinkable and they refused to make meat substitutions on sandwiches. Not worth the money or the wait.

Terribly long wait in line at the order window, and then even longer wait for our simple bagel orders. Also, a plain bagel with plain cream cheese was the SAME price as a breakfast sandwich, which seemed strange. Three stars only because the bagels were actually decent.

Some of the best local bagels around! They make a great breakfast sandwich and have a wide selection of cream cheeses to match with your perfectly toasted bagel! And cant forget the helpful and friendly staff!The only bad thing I have to say about the Bagel Café is that they closed their Belfast location! 😂Now I have to go down to Camden on a day off to get my favorite Sausage Egg & Pepper Jack on a Sea Salt Bagel. But its worth the excursion!

Some of the best bagels Ive ever had, and I really love bagels, on their own, unadulterated. The cinnamon raisin had an awesome crispy crust, but still moist inside, and wasnt too sweet, just the right amount of raisins.A lot of bagels are sweet, these are more towards the sourdough side, which I like.And the drip coffee was really good, not crazy strong like almost everywhere these days.Just a great place, and away from the noise and traffic of the main street.

Not a fan of their customer service. I would highly recommend going to Hole in the Wall Bagels instead, theyre much kinder there. I tried to place an order today, and the woman who picked up muttered something unintelligible, left me on hold for 2 and a half minutes, and then hung up on me. Also the second to last time Ive ordered from here, they overcharged me, made me drive back for a refund, and as soon as I arrived I was told that the refund process could have been done over the phone. They didnt apologize for overcharging me, and they didnt apologize for making me drive back to their store for no reason. Overall not impressed. They have good bagels though!

No complaints here. Delicious salad and toasty bagel loaded with cream cheese. They were starting to clean/close up shop when we got there but they were super cool about letting us eat and check email for 15-20 min despite that. Great value.

Had a delicious breakfast sandwich here along with some delicious hazelnut iced coffee. I had an egg, bacon and avocado on garlic bagel and my son had an egg, bacon and cheese on a poppy seed bagel. Both were delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. When the ice bucket was empty the man behind the counter filled it up once I got his attention to do so and was very friendly about it. Well be back tomorrow for breakfast and lunch to go for out long journey home.

Great little breakfast place. Lots of fresh made bagels and cream cheese flavors to choose from. Staff are very friendly as well. You have to time it right to beat the morning rush but it is pretty fast service. 4 stars because some of the sandwiches they use a microwave for, just seems like a cop out considering how much effort goes into making the fresh bagels.

AWESOME Bagels in downtown Camden, always grab some when in town. You cant go wrong. They also have a nice selection of cream cheese flavours, some of which are mixed on the spot.

Really good scratch made bagels, delicious sandwiches, good coffee and variety. They sell day old bagels discounted by the bag, too. Spacious, but popular. On weekends it gets busy from around 1015am to 11 in particular. I find their wifi to be frustrating, and limited. In the summer. It is often uncomfortably warm as they dont really use ac. A thumbs up tho.

Quick, reasonable, and tasty. Simple coffee choices, so not for the froofroo coffee drinkers. My butterfingers dropped one of two bagel sandwiches, but they happily made another without hesitation. Thats service!

Ive loved this place all my life best bagle Ive ever had, plus they have tofutti. The staff is always amazing! I walked there today with my 9 year old (also a life time lover of there food) took us longer than we expected,we got there at closing, and they still toasted us up a couple of bagle and smeared on a heaping dollop of tofutti.

So they have so,many options for cream cheese and, its so cozy, prices are reasonable

The bagels are all generic with different toppings, but the bagels themselves are not great quality. Whatever bagel you get it will taste basically the same, and slightly stale. There are other options here that might be much higher quality, they had some good looking muffins and cookies. But the bagels really arent good.

Fast, and super delicious food. The bacon was cooked just right, the eggs and cheese were nice and melted together onto the deliciously toasted bagel for a savory, mouthwatering experience, would go every day if I could.

Finally a good cup of coffee for under $3. Great atmosphere. Very good bagels...I reccomend the jalapeno cream cheese. The people here will learn you by name if you frequent enough, my kids love it here as well... they serve nutella in a generous manner, My kids appreciate that!

I’ve worked here and can understand where some of the negative reviews are coming from because the wait can be long, but some of the complaints don’t make sense to me. When there is the morning and early afternoon rush the orders pile up, the wait can be longer than you want and it can be stressful behind the counter. I always call in if I’m in a rush because I know they will answer. I’ll tell them how far away I am, and they will make sure it’s almost ready if not ready for me when I get there! The bagels are suited for most needs whether it be their udi’s gluten free bagel or the rest of the bagels that are vegan, but you’d never know. They have a dozen+ different bagel flavors and so many cream cheese flavors. They even make vegan toffuti cream cheese that tastes close to normal cream cheese in two different flavors. A woman that ordered toffuti cream cheese asked if we had made a mistake and given her regular cream cheese, but it was no mistake and she was amazed by how close they tasted. The prices range from very cheep to a little expensive, but it all depends on what you get! A bagel by itself with nothing on it is only 0.92 cents and no sales tax on the bagel. A whole bakers dozen (13) is $9.25! That’s. Deal because 0.92 cents x 13 = 11.96 and the day old bagels are still good @ $3.99 a bag for 8 bagels! Yes there may be small mishaps, but no one is perfect, it is a great place to get a quick bagel or breakfast and by far the best one I’ve ever been to! Also when they are back there making sandwiches, wraps, salads, making and refilling the coffee, changing out and refilling containers of veggies, meats and cream cheeses, and cleaning tables for new customers, it is best for the customer to not say anything and to thank them for what they made for you as fast as they can! If you come in and see they are busy don’t expect your sandwich to come out willy nilly. They get up at 5:30-6 almost everyday to make food and serve over 100 - 200 customers every day. Ask the daily customers their opinion about the place and see how the first impression isn’t always the best.
