Please do not buy meat from here until they better their sanitization standards ! Got meat that had pieces covered In hair. When we asked for a refund they instead argued with us that it’s our hair and I am supposed to check the meat before I collect it from the butcher. Managed to get the refund in the end. Had been visiting this butcher for quite sometime, don’t think I will go again

Excellent shop with lots of Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi groceries. Very much friendly people.. :). You can have all type of frozen fish and fresh meat here. I love shopping here..

Good neighborhood Indian grocery place. Have a lot of variety and stock of snacks, pickles, spices, and sweets etc. Would be nice to have more variety of frozen paranthas and meals.

Terrible customer service waited in line for 9 min while I’m buying 3 items. Lady in front of me gets all her stuff checked beofre she goes to pay she is walking around the store trying to pick last minute items i asked i could pay for my items guy at the register tells me to wait for her left my stuff and left the store. Overall, bad customer service

Unfortunately this store is really dirty and smells bad. If you’re lucky and come on the right say, you might get your hands on decent Asian produce. Otherwise - it’s mostly rotting.It has great potential to offer a better experience.

Used to be a good place for meat and fish. However one recent experience with spoiled item return was very bad. Called them to tell that we received a bad Paneer from the items bought yesterday, they didnt agree for a returns neither they were even a bit apologetic for selling the spoiled item. There you lost a well wishers and loyal customer

A savior for the people of Indian subcontinent. You could get most kind of Indian and Bengali groceries. There are mutton, Katla, Rui, Pabda, Pomfret, Ilish fishes and chicken. Truly an extensive grocery store.

Really convenient with a great selection of foods and spices, including fresh produce, frozen foods, and snacks. They have some household items as well. The Indian milk cake they have in the refrigerated section is my biggest guilty pleasure.

My wife and I were loyal customer of foodland. But a recent event has changed our opinion. We believe that we were being charged wrong for a standard item. Most of the time we do not check the bill because it does not have name of the items on it. But yesterday when we went to store, we only bought three items and amount was absurd. When I check the break up, they charged $22 for $4 item.It is hard for us to go there again. There are limited Indian store options in Cambridge and Somerville area so you might end up going there even after reading this review. I would highly recommend checking the price of each and every item.Thanks

The store has most of the things that you will require for South Asian cooking! Very good quality, and lots of variety available.

The owner does not bother to wear a mask. While I was visiting ,he had his friends over taking photos of him mask-less and having fun about it.

Bengali Pakistani Indian grocery store. Prices are same as any other grocery stores of these kind. You can halal meat here which is a good convenience. Store is bit on the small side. The good part is that the meat/fish section is downstairs, so it does not stink up the whole place.

The place is good and probably there is no other such alternative nearby. Its strange that they will not provide meats or fish after 8PM. The funniest thing is they can give the meat if you call them on their phone number before 8. Little strange and none will tell this till you experience...

Food land is a Bangladeshi store loacted on mass Ave that sells Indian,Pakistani, Bangladeshi food products. Its a very small place but they have almost everything.They also have fresh meat and fish in their basement.Their produce is fresh.. decent prices..they have fresh greens like amaranth leaves and poi leaves. They also sell banana flower.Their frozen section also has good variety.They sell freshly made chicken samosas.Overall a good place for quick shopping visits.

Good one stop shop for all Indian grocery and meat, fish etc. Nice well organized, neat and clean store. Staff is helpful.Edit: Removing three stars from previous review. The minute they notice that someone is becoming a regular to the store, they will be rude and give you sub par quality stuff... really disappointed. They should show more respect.

Friendly grocery store for the Desis aka South Asians. Meat department is downstairs and upstairs you can find usual Indian snacks to rice to fresh vegetables as well as frozen one. Staff is friendly and helpful.Take your time so that you dont get overwhelmed as this store packs more in its small space.Store is run by a Bangladeshi family.

Very untidy store. Disgusting smell emminating from downstairs. All the goods are covered In dust and feels grimy to the touch. I purchased Pataks Pickle Masala from here in 2019 and when I took it home to use, I discovered it had a weird smell and looked very moist. I then had a look at the label and my gosh it had an expiration date of the year 2010.

Foodland is one of the Best Indian-Bangladeshi stores not only in Boston, but if compared in general within the US overall.Their three major strengths are:Stock, very reasonable pricing (cheaper than any other store I know in Boston-Cambridge) and excellent customer care.Needless to say that they are simply the best when it comes to halal meats: goat, lamb beef, chicken. And certainly Bengali fishes! If you are not satisfied with this here, know that a better quality is just not available in market!They also keep some quintessential Bengali items like jhaal muri, nolen gur, bengali chanachur.Their vegetables and fruits are very fresh and well-priced.Despite being very busy, they are always very patient, helpful and respectful of the customers!I am sure their presence significantly enriches the ethnic component in the lives of many immigrants from the subcontinent, be it in daily lives, be it in festivities!!

From topshe to tangra, this place has it all. Good collection of bengali fish, possibly the best by quantity, in this area. Good collection of bengali sweets as well, with the misti doi being my favourite!
