Hidden fees everywhere. I was happy with Harris, but when they took over my bill tripled. They forgot to remove me from billing after I cancelled my service and continued changing me. They still have not refunded me and it has been 2 month.

DONT GET CULLIGAN! My moms been having problems with them delivering water when they’re supposed to, canceling her service and picking up their equipment and billing issues. If I could give them no stars I would. VERY POOR SERVICE AND ISSUE RESOLUTION and when I call they just blame “corporate”.

Since they became Callaghan we’ve had nothing but trouble. Our water is cloudy despite our filter being changed weekly (when they want to show up). They tried to charge me twice despite my auto pay every month. They don’t come regularly on the days that they are supposed to and skip other Weeks if they think they won’t get caught. There’s a water leak on my tank currently and I called twice two separate days and it’s still leaking. Hopefully they will come out soon as water is leaking everywhere. I’m currently looking at new companies to switch to. Very disappointing as I’ve been a customer for more than 20 years

As others have stated...I was a Harris customer who was absorbed by Culligan. I have also noticed bogus fees that they tack on to my bill ( ie paperwork and fuel ). My bill has increased almost 25% ( $40 a month to $49 a month) since they took over my service (in less than 4 months). I may be moving on soon. The girl I talked to in Ventura was courteous and helpful, however.

Stay away from this company. They’d started charging a $3 delivery fee out of nowhere. They don’t follow through on their promises. You pay monthly for services they don’t provide. They falsely state they delivered water softener tanks when they didn’t. They charged me a delivery fee for a water softener ya k they didn’t deliver. Every 4 weeks I’m supposed to get my water softener tank exchanged. It hasn’t happened in 7 weeks. I am constantly calling them to remind them they missed their scheduled delivery time. They lie all the time. There customer service isn’t there. Don’t do business with this company.

This company has the worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Every time I call, I’ve had to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes or longer to talk to someone. And each time, the person tells me that they’re putting a “note” in my file about what they took care of for me. But with subsequent calls, those “notes” are never there and they have no idea what I’m talking about. I’ve also had to call them back multiple times myself because I never get a return call like I’m promised. Also, I was told I would get free service for a year with a purchase of a softener and a filter that was ~$4,000. Then they just started charging me out of nowhere two different times. When I called to ask them why I was being charged, they act like they have no idea what’s going on. And I have to make multiple phone calls to get the issue taken care of.They are obviously very disorganized and do not follow through with what they say they’re going to do. I would not recommend this company.

When I had Harris Water I was happy with the service. When Culligan took over the first issue was a rise in the service charge. Next the statement showed a $2 paper statement delivery fee. I called and was able to get the charge removed because they had my email address and could have sent an electronic bill. I was told that future bills would be electronic, but I never got a bill. After a month I got an emailed notice that my payment was overdue, so I know they had my email address, but I had not received any bill. I followed up with them again, and the next month the same thing happened: No bill, but an emailed notice of the missed payment and the addition of a late fee. The company offered to remove the late fee, but enough was enough and we discontinued our service.

I would give this a negative star rating if I could. This company is absolutely the worst. We have had our system for just about a year, however, we are never sure when they replace the salt, or if they do. We told them had completely run out and they advised that they would increase the schedule, however, they have not. We also asked about the filter on our reverse osmosis system, and were told it would take two weeks to get a technician out, however, it should have been done months ago. Now, we have black gunk in our water softener and we have called and left 4 messages to ask them to address it. We can only leave messages as they continue to claim high volume of calls. We are afraid to drink our water and do not feel clean when we shower. We will be cancelling. Based on these reviews, we will obviously have a challenge with that as well. We will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and also local news channels to start speaking with a louder voice. Culligan - you should be ashamed.

Lousy service. Technician came to my house without the appropriate filter. Had to call again, wait 20 minutes before able to talk to somebody, and make another appointment to have the proper filter installed, this three weeks later between 8 and noon like the cable company! The woman on the phone wouldnt even bother apologizing for there mistake but instead went on to blame the technician.Shame on them and stay away for Culligan.

When Culligan took over Harris, not only did they increase the cost of the service (which is fair for a business to do, so I didnt have too much of an issue with it despite it being a significant increase) but they started charging a paper statement fee when I never had the option to go paperless. It was easy to fix and they credited back the fee, but then we noticed there was a $3 transportation fee for EACH delivery. So not only did they increase the service cost but also started charging a transportation fee to have tanks delivered. Terrible. The transportation costs should have been factored into the rate increase. We cancelled our service and switched to Rayne. Giving Culligan two stars because their water quality wasnt terrible and we had no issues with our tanks.

Almost never show up on scheduled deliver dates. Usually a week late sometimes 2 weeks. New fiberglass tanks crack and/or leak constantly. I can’t seem to get them to provide the steel tanks. Didn’t have these issues when it was Culligan of Sylmar but now that it’s Ventura it’s garbage.

Review №12

Really bad customer service. They kindly say (after making me wait on hold for 30 minutes for every call) that a delivery will come today. This is after missing it when scheduled several days ago and failing to deliver again when rescheduled two days ago. I guess they will say anything but don’t actually ever do what they say. The water quality seems worse after increasing from delivery every 3 weeks to every 2 weeks. I suspect they are delivering dirty tanks. The customer service line always says they’re experiencing a high volume of calls no matter what time of day or night you call or what day you call. They have an option to leave a message or get a call back, that’s a joke. They don’t return messages and don’t call back. This company seems to lack integrity and quality.

This water provider is run by incompetent teenagers, The whole management should be fired and replaced by people that can actually do their job. For the past 6 months I have been having issues with them about skipping delivery, not my choice it’s either their drivers or the scheduling manager, I have called about this issue many times. I get charged late fees and I am on auto payment, how is that? This is a horrible company. DO NOT USE!

I had such high hopes... After losing my house key several times, many skipped delivers without notifying me, bad water softener tanks, and waiting over a month for a supervisor to not return my call, I decided to cancel! Well, after sharing my concerns with the representative on the phone, I asked her for her supervisors email, so I could document my concerns. To my surprise, the representative stated none of the employees have emails... and when I informed her I wanted to cancel, she hung up the phone on me ;(

I was never given a notification for the extra charge and I was never given an option to go paperless. I never had any problems with Harris, however since they sold to Culligan my service has been a nightmare! First they charged me two dollars more just to pay by check, I thought I had that cleared up now they are charging me $3.00 for a transportation fee route? Also, last week they delivered a bad tank so the next day some guy brought a different tank and something was still wrong so a different person came out a day later and he said it was hooked up wrong by the previous guy!!!! Horrible customer service! They really deserve 0 stars!!!!!

I canceled my service 6 months ago in November when I moved out of the house that was receiving water delivery. 4 months ago I started getting bombarded with texts and emails about a $5 charge that was billed way after I canceled the account. I called several times and kept getting a high call volume message from their automated system. I left several voicemails and call back requests but never heard from anyone. Finally I was able to reach a representative that apologize profusely about being charged incorrectly. That was 2 months ago and I am STILL getting emails and text about this $5 charge and STILL not able to contact the company.Culligan, if you read this, I would love a call back. My next call will be to the better business bureau to report you for harassment.

This company is a mess! 1st they connected me to a rep in bakersfield when I live in Ventura. Then they claimed to not know the person I had just given my address to, which scared me. Then we got connected to a Ventura rep, Paul, who has been a nightmare to work with. He didnt show up for our appointment and when I called him claimed I thought you cancelled which we did not. Finally we got everything installed and went for the loan option. We were told our bill would be one amount in our contract and got charged double that. We havent been able to get anyone on the phone to reconcile. I am currently on hold for the 5th time this month. Paul said he would have his office manager call me and I havent heard from anyone. Worst customer service EVER.

This company is terrible. I moved last July and tried since before I moved to close everything out. The gentleman who took the call.promised me to be out to close out account l, he never showed. Nine months later I am getting hounded by debt collectors. I have gone over it on the phone twice and they told me 6 weeks ago not worry. Today I got multiple message around debt. Would you commit to a company who is unable to communicate amongst themselves? Since you sign up for a long term with them, I imagine there are more comfortable options. Run run away before you sign anything.

I honestly do not know how this company stays in business. When I started my contract we were with Culligan of Sylmar and everything was fine. My contract was moved to Culligan of Ventura and it has been a nightmare! My salt tank is supposed to be serviced every 4 weeks and I have not gotten service in 10 weeks and I am being charged $80 every month for nothing. I have called customer service multiple times and every time I am told I will get a call back. Then, I never get a call back. I was told by one person I would get a tank delivery on Tuesday 2/23. The driver was a no show. Talked to supervisor and she said I would get a tank on 3/1. She was also going to talk to her supervisor about an account credit and call back…never got a call back. Again the driver was a no show. Called customer service and they claimed the system was down. At one point I told them to just cancel service but they told me there would be a cancellation fee. How can there be a cancelation fee for a service that the service provider is not fulfilling?Tomorrow I will be calling to try and rectify the situation AGAIN!

Im not one to write bad reviews but here I go: The water was okay. Calling customer service was also okay. But when it comes time to cancel service, what a hassle! Their schedule is very limited to pick up their equipment but Im the one who still gets charged for having the equipment meanwhile. Its nonsense. They wont prorate the monthly charge either. There are other companies to consider besides Culligan. UPDATE: This company reached out and a reasonable solution was agreed to.

My experience with Devon Lorenzini was excellent. He came on time and opened his professional brief case which he deftly used. Most important, he shared clearly the process in the system of reverse osmosis and explained the measurements of my water quality (very bad before the installation)It was a very helpful learning experience. The improvement in the quality of my drinking water is remarkable, so Devons enthusiastic salesmanship was truthful. I certainly would recommend him to anyone seeking healthy water. He is a very personable and educated young man.

4/28 after having our sales lady Nakami come out and sell the softener and RO unit to us, Mario came out to install. He had poor customer service, left a mess in the kitchen and material in the garage, filled out trash with his material as well. Come to find out it was his last day installing and he was moving to deliveries. He completely damaged out granite where the RO faucet was installed. Half the circle is eaten away. After getting estimates and being very patient and cooperative, we are referred to the insurance company where they want to give us the least amount to replace or to settle. They are solely paying for property damage, so no punitive, no time wasted, no negligent work. I have contacted Vic Vickers to seek some kind of discount on our RO unit since they is the only place we can seek something for such a huge inconvenience. This would have never happened if Mario did not replace as a couple employees after him, said how he had no installation experience when hired, he was a bull in a china shop, and that he had to come after Mario often to fix his work. I feel Culligan of Ventura should take responsibility of this and not just refer me to their insurance company to pay as little as possible for such shotty workmanship.
