Took a potential car purchase for a pre-buy inspection here. there was no wait, one of the techs was ready to take my car as soon as I pulled up which was awesome. they were able to determine what/if needed to be addressed quickly and gave good, honest information. they also dont overcharge like some of the other local places Ive been to. overall great experience and friendly staff. definitely would recommend.

Excellent service

I called Bergins Automotive while I was driving to see if they could help me replace my tail light that recently went out and they let me know that I could head right over. Once I walked in I was greeted and they treated me like they were happy to see me. The mechanic got right to work repairing the broken light. It was done in a few minutes and I was very impressed. Once they asked if there were any other issues, several came to mind and I replaced my worn out wipers and had the professionals there take a look at my tires and they gave me a ton of helpful advice.Finding a great and trustworthy garage is hard to find but I strongly recommend the pros at Bergins!

Its not easy finding a decent, trustworthy mechanic, but these guys fit the bill, and Cruz is not only super knowledgeable, but he also has integrity and knows how to treat customers. Ive been taking my car here since moving to Camarillo three years ago and even followed them to a new location. Luckily, all of my repairs are manageable because the 2003 Toyota Camry I drive is the most reliable car I have ever owned. They go that extra mile so to speak, taking me to and from my house if the car needs to be in the shop for several hours since I live close by. One of their mechanics even connected me with an auto detailing place that repainted and touched up my car and did an amazing job in the process!

Top shelf car service and customer care! I took my older Jeep in for a broken differential. Not only was the cost fair and in our budget the job was completed earlier than anticipated. To include a few other minor services. Cruz kept me well informed on the process and was patient answering my questions. I highly recommend Bergins Automotive to friends. I will be back for sure!

A+++ service! My car overheated in Utah and I got some work done there, and there were still problems when I got it here. Im from Canada and I have a great mechanic back home, so I was nervous about trusting my car with someone new. I was really relieved to get personal recommendations for Bergins and my friends friends were right! I couldnt have made a better choice! I appreciated that they gave my car a good visual inspection before doing the coolant pressure test, because they found physical damage that would have become catastrophic under pressure. They waived the diagnosis fee partially because they couldnt do the pressure test, and partially because they felt sorry for the Unfortunate Canadian stranded in California!

I feel very comfortable taking my car to Bergins Automotive for service because I have confidence in their experience and abilities. This last service required a revisit because a new part they received from a supplier was faulty, but was replaced at no additional expense to me. This additional work was done without any discussion and is indicative of Bergins desire and willingness to simply do the right thing. Much appreciated.

The guys at Bergins always treat me (and my family) well. My most recent service at Bergins was for an oil change and they were very quick with it. Theyre so much faster and cheaper than a dealership! I have been going to Bergins since I had a bad experience at a dealership and Im happy to say that Ill keep coming back!

Went there on Friday to get the fan for my a/c fixed. They said they were too busy. Okay that happens so I come back Monday morning. They said they won’t get to it until the afternoon. I use my car for work so I can’t just leave it. So I make an appointment for the next morning. I show up for my appointment and they ask for $144 to inspect my car. Not to fix anything, just to see what’s wrong. After I repeatedly told them the fan wasn’t working they wanted to also recharge my a/c. I can only imagine how much the actual repair would have costed if I had agreed to this. Will not go back.

I perform my own maintenance and repairs on my familys vehicles. When the job is too big for me to perform, I take my vehicles to Bergins Automotive. I have never had a problem with any repairs that they have done on our cars. Highly recommended!

I have two older Hondas and they are still running because Bergin services them. I am picky and like when a vendor provides options to resolve an issue. Bergin automotive provides the options to keep my vehicles performing for our family.

Joe and Floyd are the best. Always there for us and they know what they are doing. I have taken both of our cars to them over the past few years. We will not go anywhere else. Tried others and not the same service and friendly people like at Bergins Automotive.

My first time here and the employees are not friendly at at all. No one greets you and you dont feel too welcomed. They could definitely learn some customer service skills from Jiffy Lube.

After I used Trans Care I went to write a review and saw the bad review already posted. However, I had a VERY GOOD experience with Steve, the owner! He checked out my transmission for FREE and discussed the approximate costs BEFORE I had any work done. He even explained to me how he and his technicians would know precisely what was wrong with my transmission after they disassembled it so they could actually see what was broken. It cost less than I expected, because Steve told me I brought the car in as soon as I felt the transmission acting funny. I recommend this man and his business and will also take my wifes car in for regular maintenance and repairs. TWO thumbs UP and a thank you, Steve!

Pretty frustrated with this place. I came in about two weeks ago because I had a check engine light on and the guy working seemed really annoyed when my stepdad asked why the check up was ($200). He continued to tell us that he was taking time out of his day to do this work, even though its his job. Couple hours later he told us that he couldnt find anything wrong with the car so that he would have a mechanic drive bit around to see if anything what was wrong, only to say that we had a loose motor mount and didnt need to be replaced until it actually broke. Well yesterday my car died randomly in a parking lot, and I found out that my car battery was leaking acid, so much acid that it was all over the battery and engine. Really disappointed that the mechanic didnt seem to have any idea about this. Not sure if he even took the time to open up the hood.

I moved to California a couple of years ago; Having lived my entire adult life in a small town in Indiana, something as seemingly simple as finding a new, respectable place to have your vehicle maintained is daunting. Steve took my truck for a test drive and described the problem and gave me the low and hi end pricing. I had shopped around and decided to let him do it. Next day he called and wanted me to come by and see what damage had been done and tell me in detail what he would have to do and the final price and told me his work is warranted. He ordered the parts and had my truck running and looking like new in 3 days. When one of my other vehicles has a problem Ill be going back to see Steve.

Its been a while since I took my 2005 Beetle in for repair there and I dont even remember what the repair was. Could it have been the oil pan that got damaged when driving over a log in Simi Valley? I dont think so. There is a whole bunch of shops in a row and Bergins is the first and I decided to go with it. Could it have been a CV boot that got sliced at a tire shop? I doubt it. In the end though I was driving on the 118 and was afraid to cross the double-yellow line to get out of the diamond lane since I got a ticket once before; until I had no choice as my interchange was upon me so I cut across all lanes of traffic only to hit the island that was not visible from the diamond lane and the front right tire exploded sending me skidding across the island. My mom let out a little yelp. :) We were heading for a brick wall when some nice lady slammed into the passenger door with her Blazer causing us to make a U-turn and go back over the island onto the 118. Geico had the car towed from the police station to their body shop and they totaled it. In the end, we got another Beetle but now someone ran a stop sign and drove into the passenger door on this one! Their insurance is trying to deny any responsibility! Tell Bergins that the 2005 Beetle is no longer mine. The body shop that totaled it had a check from Geico and said they were buying the car from me. Does that sound right to you? That check was mine anyways since Geico is my insurance company. They bought my car with my own money! Is that right? Who knows? I tried to make an appointment for a noon oil change and they refused because all their mechanics go to lunch at that time. Its ridiculous to think that not one mechanic goes to lunch an hour earlier or later to accommodate the world of 9-5ers who may want to bring their car in for a 30 minute service. I guess there isnt much demand for it.
