I had ordered some vented closure for the ridge cap for a building I am constructing from another vendor, two weeks later I still didnt have the closure.I canceled that order and contacted Mid Michigan Metal Sales. The gentleman I talked to at Mid Michigan Metal Sales was very courteous and helpful. He took my order and said they would sent a confirmation email.I received the email confirming my order and within like two days of ordering the vented closure UPS delivered it to my door. The closure was exactly the type I wanted and was securely packaged. The closure was also cheaper than the other vendors.I highly recommend Mid Michigan Metal Sales

Very good service and the highest quality I have seen to date. I have built three barns in the last 10 years and the first one, I purchased the complete package from the green big box. It was okay overall. Then I saw an ad on tv from Mid Michigan 3 years ago and decided to go in and see what they had to offer. I was getting ready to build a second barn. First thing I noticed was a nice, clean, and well kept showroom with plenty of information and samples to view the products they had. Michelle was who I worked with and she was very helpful and answered all the questions to the best of here ability. I decided to purchase the steel for my second barn from them. They do not sell lumber so I went to the big box for that. When I received my order everything was packed in wrap so nothing would get damaged. When I started to install the steel the quality was unbeatable. I was amazed how much better and thicker Mid Michigans steel was compared to the big box store. It may seem like a small jump from .0142 (big box) to .015 from Mid Michigan but the difference is night and day. I just purchased the materials for my third barn from them and I had the same experience as the last. I am very happy that a company like this is in my area. You can actually get help from them for the basics of doing a project. Also buying local means my money will stay here in the area and I couldnt be happier to say that.

The product seems to be very good (We have only had the material installed for 1.5 years, so it is certainly too soon to know. ) but the customer service stinks. Also, read ALL the fine print. The directions for measurement say to be sure you measure it EXACTLY, however they get to cut it from -0.5 to + 2.0 inches. Yep, you guessed it, we were cutting everyone of those panels to get them to fit correctly. Then there was the delivery- We had panels that were 32 feet long, and the instructions were to have someone be there to help you unload. (They have no means to mechanically unload the panels) The bundles were literally tons of material, and if we had not had a tractor with a front end loader, all the bundles would have had to have been disassembled and each panel unloaded individually. Also, we ordered Gabled pieces and with that comes the z channel pieces automatically. Yep you guessed it again, we had enough gable, but ran out of z pieces........And if you are doing the installation yourself, which may go over the 30 day return policy forget it. Then they sold us the wrong snow stop pieces for our style of roof. I had to go to the manufacturer of the snow stop to get the right one, I took the printed materials back to Mid Michigan to show them the correct item, and they made a copy of the print out because they DIDNT KNOW. So, in summary, the knowledge and communication of information about metal roofing stinks. If you are a do it yourself kind of person, dont expect any help from them. Also, buy a really GOOD set of cutters, as you are going to need them to get the panels the correct length. Oh, one last item. We ordered some parts, they called and told us they were in, we went to pick them up and they gave our parts to someone else, ans then we had to wait another 4 working days to get them.
