Talk about freaky fast!!! I emailed a question -they answered right away - TWICE! Then, I ordered the recommended part and had it the next day. This place treated me like a mom and pop shop down the street. I had a return and that was handled freaky fast as well! Im just a cheap mom trying to save a few bucks - by no means a repair professional, but with their help and online videos, the TV is up and running like new. ShopJimmy has my business for life - WELL DONE!! Highly recommend!!

I purchased a power supply board at a diffrent online retailer and recieved a non working unit. I purchased a complete kit on sale here and power supply works perfectly recived early and now I have spare parts I may need in the future for same price as others sale just the power supply.

Youd think for a place that deals in used parts theyd be interested in parts that they are out of stock of on their website.Stores like this would be great for the general public if they didnt nickel and dime you for the smallest things. Scummy business practice.

Had a backlight problem,only one LED out but others were dim barely see them. Ordered new replacement LED strips,installed and lite up the neighborhood,lol. Put back together and now of course,I have bad luck. Something else is wrong with TV,I have black and white lines going up and down and dont know what to do. They did their part though and received great service and quality product.

I ordered backlight LEDS for my customers tv from this website and they came broken I was forced to fix them because the customer was breathing down my neck and needed their TV back. I called shop Jimmy to see if there was anything they could do for the inconvenience of me having to fix there product but the guy I spoke to pretty much said that I was supposed to make my customer wait and send the parts back which makes sense if I had the time. But they did not want to help me out at all and was very rude. I do have pictures of how I received the poduct.

This business is great! They make finding and ordering the right part easy. The parts came exactly as promised and were packed beautifully! I bought new LED backlights and the installation was easy. They even came with plenty of new double sided tape. If you are waffling between fixing your old TV or spending big bucks on a new one, Try to fix it yourself. YouTube has plenty of instructional videos to walk you through the process step by step. Thanks Jimmy!

This place has horrible customer service. I had a tv that wasn’t working and emailed them with the problems. They were happy to help to only find out later they wanted my money. The lady told me that she would talk to their “technician” and get back with me. She told me it was one of two things so I bought the first thing and it wasn’t it. I then had to pay a restocking fee of 20% which wasn’t happy about but whatever. So I ordered the next thing happily thinking this was it like they told me well it wasn’t. So now they told me too bad and that they don’t offer technical support even though she asked her “technician” before. They are also charging me another 20% restocking fee and when I explained this to them they said we don’t guarantee our “fixes” and are not trained for giving advice which was told to me after everything. Please stay away from this company. I have a lot of business and they lost it all also everyone I deal with will no longer use them.

Don’t give these scammers your business!!!!Be careful when you order because they will scam you with a bait and switch. I was trying to order a full power supply board. It was out of stock but they offered a different “part” they claimed would work as well. Instead of the board I was given replacement pieces for the board ... a dozen pieces that need to be soldered into a board. That’s like ordering a dresser and getting a pile of uncut boards instead. They won’t accept returns ... obviously because they know they are scamming buyers.

Had a 55 Panasonic Plasma TV that quit. With a bit of easy trouble shooting and the the parts package from Shop Jimmy my $1200 TV is up and running again for the price of the Shop Jimmy Components, $15. Nice!

Videos made it seem like a straightforward fix. Ordered the $80 kit which cost $94 and change after tax and shipping. Unfortunately after replacing every possible board, TV was still not working (backlight and sound but no picture). Not this place’s fault, but after returning all items I only get a $60 refund? The return policy is a joke. Spent $34 for nothing.

Had a part for our Samsung TV shipped to us only to find out that the item was used. While not a problem normally, this part was broken. So, I called up the company to get a replacement part sent out and the guy said he would ship it out on Monday via ground as it was before. I asked if he could put a rush on it and he stated that he could not because I had paid for ground shipping before. I stated, no, I paid ground shipping for the correct part to be shipped out to me, not a broken part and then (hopefully) the correct part to be sent to me. His reply was that he would be happy to initiate a return. I obliged and will NEVER shop at this site again. Customer service is really not a priority. Would give a zero star if it were possible.

TV not working following a power surge - Kevin on September 30th, 2018A friend brought his LG 49 LED TV to me. He said it stopped working following a lightning storm. I checked the power supply, there was no standby light. The fuse was open on the power supply board.There was visible signs of damage to the power supply board. Some components on the main board checked out to be inoperable. Weighed my options of replacing the individual components or the entire boards. My friend opted to replace the boards, I found the power supply board on Shop Jimmy but the main board was out of stock. There was a symbol in the main board information on Shop Jimmy regarding the availability meaning that the odds of being in stock in the near future were very low. So I found another source. I dont trust the other source as much as Shop Jimmy but I had no other choice. The power board arrived in a timely manner. A week later the main board arrived. Replaced both boards with a positive results. The TV operated just fine.The reason for just 4 stars is that the main board was not in stock and that there is no expected availability date.TV Model: Lg 49LF6300-UATV Symptoms: No Audio, No Picture, No Power

The backlight LEDs on my 47 LG died. Did some research on their website and they had the parts I needed and the instructions to follow. Did the repair in about 45 minutes and almost a year later the TV is still bright as ever and going strong. Im very pleased I could do the repair myself and not have to shell out for a new TV because of some cheap backlight LEDs.

Shipped to the billing address, not the shipping address. Won’t be ordering from this company again if you can’t get something that simple correct.

Worst return policy ever. Did all the steps to send it back with their label and it seems lost in transit, so I have a TV that doesnt work and seems like Ill be out my whole $80 with no pa parts to at least try to get some money back by selling on eBay, thanks for bending me over, if it does happen to go through theyll take half anyways take your chances with eBay

LG replacement parts shipped promptly, price was reasonable and DIY repair was a breeze, saving me hundreds of dollars on a lightening zapped dead TV screen.

Sent me the wrong leds, paid $73 to have it shipped over night including cost of product. When trying to return or exchange my $22 for overnight shipping is lost, I have to pay $8 to send it back, and they keep $12 for a restocking fee. So out of the $73 spent, Im out $42 when they said the lights would work with my tv model number.

Yes it was awesome thinking I fixed the problem to my tv. The lady on the phone was wonderful but when I went home and followed each step found my problem wasnt fixed. Being a first time shopper with shop jimmy I thought the return would be as easy as finding the item. Was I wrong. Not only am I leaving with no record of my return the lady just took my item and said thanks. So now I get to wait for it to return to my card and the charge fee for restocking in my mind is stupid. Paying you to do your job more. They should waved that fee since my tv isnt fixed Im a first shopper and the help with return wasnt helpful. I bought a complete kit of parts for my Samsung LCD made in 2014 , my TV would turn on but the then the screen would go black seconds after turning on. I was going to pay some one to fix it but they wanted to charge me $330 to fixs it . I dicided not to get it fixed it was to much money. I went online found the web site , shop jimmy bough the complete kit for $100 , installed it my self which was very easy by the way , and my tv was good as new. Thanks jimmy .
