I think their books are expensive but I was getting desperate to find the new Stephen King novel to give as a birthday gift this week and had checked multiple other big box stores that were sold out. They had a table of the novel right when I walked in even if it was more than I wanted to spend, at least they physically had it. The cashier was friendly enough. Their store was clean. Their parking lot is always a bit of a nightmare because of the layout, especially when they are busier.

Books. Do your brain a favor, shut off the TV and social media and read a book. Barnes and Noble will have what you need. Breathe, relax, read.

They should get more Animal books. Otherwise, really cool store

Bought my manga from her but after I noticed how bad the quality was and it was bended and damaged, dont have alot aswell. Employes were okay they looked annoyed though.

Selection is great, but prices are high, they dont price match and customer service is okay sometimes, bad some others. No wonder these stores are losing their market share. I would pay more for a book if the buying experience was superior, but sadly it is not in this store. I gave three stars because they have good deals every once in a while.

Took my 80 year old mother to the Burnsville store for assistance with setting up her new nook she purchased the day before. An employee by the name of Brett or Brent asked what we needed help with as we were walking into the store. I told him we needed help with the new nook. He asked “what type of help” in a very condescending way. Right away he became defensive and it was obvious he didn’t want to try to help us. There were other employees standing around who immediately scattered. I’m sure they were embarrassed by how he was talking to us. This all happened right by the front door. Maybe he didn’t have all the answers but you’d think that he would have at least take us to the customer service desk and try to help us. He basically said we had to go home and call the Barnes and Noble customer service number because they had more information than they do in the store. I thought it would be easier for my mom to talk to someone in person rather than an 800 number to an offshore call center. I was so disappointed in this lack of service from Barnes and Noble. Brett or Brent should be ashamed by how he treated two women who love to read. This happened on May 1, 2021 at 9:15 am.

Very helpful and friendly employees. Always a great experience there.

More than just books, great spot to get little gifts

Wasnt very busy at the time but employees were quick to get me out of the way. I was looking for some change employee kept asking if I had the change without giving me a lot of time.

We came to Barnes & Noble looking for a game. We found something else. My friend found a book on the history of baseball. Barnes & Noble is a great bookstore. Never know what you can find there.

I like the Eagan location better. I tried the Burnsville store looking for a Leahy group CD. They didnt have it, in fact their music selection has gone down greatly. I know, CDs are outdated, but I still like to have a few on hand in my car. Eagan Barnes and Noble is more cozy, if you ask me. They just dont have the music section like Burnsville does.

Barnes & Noble is a very cool store. It has a relaxed vibe and the coffee shops inside are really nice. Its a great place to chill out for an hour. While the magazines and book selections are the best, their gift selections of toys and games are great. Last year I bought my sons and son in law working catapult models that were just mint. Its a place people forget to check when looking for unique gifts

I visited this Barnes and Nobles a while back, but I remember the staff (even though it was late in the day) were very lively. I walked in looked for two hardcover books and Didi (I think her name was) helped me find the correct section of the store. The bad news was that they only had one of the books on the shelf, so the employee searched the entire store to try and find the book that was said to be in stock. After about five minutes, she came back with the book I was looking for. She was so lovely and helpful. The staffs perseverance really made my shopping experience a 5/5.

I really like the layout of the store. It feels open. The cafe is open until store closes which is a nice perk. Staff are helpful and courteous. Frequently visit this location.

Whats not to love about a book store... But Barnes & Nobel is not just any book store! They have a cafe with Starbucks drinks and Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes, (among many other tests and goodies). There are gifting items, books, magazines, electronic items, and sooo much more! The kids area is fantastic - with a stage for events and an awesome train table. And there are so many books! Books for anyone and everyone! Huge store. Most of the staff has been just as wonderful and helpful as can be! Highly recommend!

Always been a fan of Barnes and Noble. This location is easy to find. Employees are helpful and friendly. Its been a couple years since I was in last, I was happy, but not necessarily surprised to see their larger collection of graphic novels and manga. I also didnt realize they had such a selection of board games. Overall very pleased 🙂

With access to a small cafe, clean restrooms, and helpful staff, there is nothing more I need to be a happy reader. Not that B&N is the only bookstore in town, I just love to visit, look around, and spend time there.

Usually find what Im looking for and always find something Im not. Very organized and easy to navigate.

Overall experience is outstanding.The personnel are very knowledgeable and courteous above and beyond most stores that work so close to their customers.The two drawbacks I must comment about is they have no accommodations for handicapped customers. Bring your own wheelchair. Also, they do not have shopping carts. We bought some larger than usual books and well, they didnt fit well in the little hand carried basket.

Many things had been moved, so I asked where a certain authors books were. Within a minute I was shown where they were. Excellent service!

I love the *smell* of Barnes & Noble. Most book stores, used or otherwise, smell more like must, like books that no one touches. Every book here looks like it should be read and smells like a relaxing evening at home with coffee. To;dr: - I like the atmosphere a lot.

I love books and want to keep bookstores alive. I wish we had an independent book store in the south metro I could support, but alas, we do not so I do a fair amount of my book shopping at b&n. I figure its at least a dedicated bookstore which is something I would hate to see disappear!Also wish they highlighted their new nonfiction a little better... But thats just a personal gripe.COVID: They have plexiglass at checkout. Starbucks has limited seating for physical distancing. They are requiring masks but have them available as well as hand sanitizer when you walk in.

One of my favorite book stores. There is a large selection of workbooks for summer academics, and good quality children toys. Love the way I can sit down with a treat from the coffee shop and examine my choices before purchasing. Staff is very responsive.

This barnes and noble had a very large sellection of books. Although i would have liked to see more manga at this location. I would definetly reccomend for people who want to purchase books. But if you are looking for more on the lines of manga i wouldnt reccomend this store to purchase bl/gl. You can pick up or ship it online though. But overall good store, And large selection.

This place is bad for my bank account but the staff were super helpful helping me find a not so popular book and even delivering it to my house.

Staff was very helpful looking for books I was looking for unfortunately have to order everything I was looking for did find one magazine I was looking for. Christian book store has a better selection of magazines.in the aircraft dept anyway. But loved the visit.

We spent probably 2 hours here with our kids. They love looking at books, and the train area. We love how excited they get about stories.

Went there on 6.24.2017 near closing time. The cashier was Dee B. She was rude and very disrespectful. She refused to honor sale prices for items that had sale stickers right on them. The manager on this shift was very helpful. He noticed us asking questions as to why those items were ringing up correctly. He honored sale prices and explained why they didnt ring up in the first place (due to them switching systems for clearance). All the while, Dee just stood there, with a scowl on her face. As we were walking out the door, and after her manager walked away, Dee made passive aggressive comments toward us. I give this place a 2, because I appreciate people like the manager on shift. However, Dee is the reason I will go to neighboring towns for my Barnes and Noble needs. You lost 2 loyal customers. I suggest some serious customer service training.

Good to walk into a store that makes you feel welcome. People asked if I needed help, but left me alone when I said No, thank you. Bigger variety of stuff than I remember. Comfortable chairs scattered around.

Some of the best customer service I have ever gotten. The manager Erin went out of her way to help me out buying a gift. I live closer to other Barnes and Nobles but I always journey the extra miles to come to this one specifically. Thanks for always being awesome.

B&N has all the new books you want. The most popular books are discounted depending how popular a book is. You can sign up with the book club send B&N will notify that new books will be in soon and make sure there is a copy for you.

Wonderful place for inspiration for work and life. I took my leaders there today and had them pick 3 books to look for inspiration in their job. We talked about what we felt we could use in our company and several of us bought that book that stood out.

Although they appear to be Starbucks on Google maps and bearing the logo everywhere, I was not able to use my Starbucks app which was my whole purpose for searching Starbucks on the map to begin with. Looked great but I came for something specific and was sadly disappointed.

I would like to recognize an employee, I believe her name is Amanda. She helped me check out on April 19th around 5:30. She was very friendly and even had a funny unique way of offering and explaining the membership program. I was very pleased with her above and beyond customer service. I also appreciate the other employees who offered me help as soon as I walked in the store.

Clean, tidy, organized. I go for the sale table first every time. And as I walked around with 5 books in hand a sweet woman who worked there asked if Id like a basket. Great place to look for books or magazines. You can also either read for chat with friends at the Starbucks in the bookstore. A very convenient place.

This location is always very clean and organized. Staff are very helpful but not pushy. Easy layout to navigate. Restrooms are clean and well kept.

Typically one of our favorite places to go, but on our trip today, we encountered some rather rude help. We had trouble with our Nook glowlights, so brought them in to see if they could help us troubleshoot/fix them - one lady did do her best to get it to work, but still wasnt able to get it, so she called a manager over to help her. THIS is where it gets ugly - basically said what do you want me to do? Wrote down the phone number for the support line, and really was not helpful at all. I will NOT be back in the Burnsville location for quite a while

The employee who helped me find a journal was extremely passionate about books and their origins. She was honest and up front about the prices and knowledgeable about past writers and works. I left feeling very satisfied with my purchase.

Classic B&N. Great place to find a hard copy, explore new titles and have some coffee. Waste a few hours here and be sure to support them. Their membership pays back pretty fast with just a few visits.

I just cancelled my order from November 15th, because they still have NOT shipped my item. Today is November 30th and they are stating it would not ship until December 6th. So I cancelled my order and I cancelled my Membership. My business is going some where else. Sorry this is inexcusable. I could understand if this was during Holiday season, but my purchase was on the 15th of November.

A wonderful place to go and purchase a text that you need to look through for yourself. It provides a reader with the opportunity we need as thinkers to form our own opinion free of anyone elses thoughts or agenda.

One of my all time favorite places. Always have an up to date selection. Clean facility, that is also paired with a Starbucks so you can have a cup of Joe while reading. Definitely recommend to friends!

My book club meets here. All of the staff are pleasant and able to answer our questions and requests for suggestions for reading choices for our book club. We also enjoy the drinks and snacks in the cafe area.

I was there looking for board games I saw online as in Stock. The items were not easy to locate in store, but the staff there were able to assist. For being only slightly busy, the checkout was back-logged so it took me a while to leave.

A very long Barnes and Nobles customer but this was the first time I have been racially profiled to this extent. I have been reading at the bookstore for about an hour and before leaving, I stopped by to read a book on the shelf; unbeknownst to me, there was a store employee standing behind me monitoring me the whole time. What made it even worse was that other shoppers were observing us, as soon as I turned around, the employee smiled but stayed put as I left and stared at me the entire time. This is not the way to treat any customer- to stalk a customer without due cause and to do so in such a flagrant and open manner is highly offensive and I hope the management in this store can train its employees to respect their customers. I have never been more humiliated in my life.

Girl at the coffee shop was working alone. It was too busy for one person. But a great place to hang out, get good books and have a tasty beverage.
