This was my first time to this service center, as my usual garage closed. It was only for a regular oil change, so I waited. From my initial interaction with Cody, to listening to him interact with other customers on the phone and in person, and with the service techs and management, all of his conversations were very professional and detailed. His GREAT customer service skills has earned you a new customer!

Went in for a simple brake job cause there was shaking in the steering wheel , called me and said my lower control arm and wheel bearing needed to be replaced and it will be $1700. Took it to a different shop and the tires were actually on the wires on the inside which they never noticed, and the rim had curb rash that was large enough to throw the balance of the wheel off. Replaced the rim and balanced and it’s 100% new. 2 other mechanic shops said that neither of what they suggested is actually broken. And also if you want to search the name up in the record it’s under Hailey Curtis.

Every time we come in everyone we talk to is super nice, considerate, and compassionate. They also get my car in fast! Most of the time I come in it’s a surprise to me and to them so being able to make a quick turn around is awesome!

We are repeat customers at Crosstown and as long as I live in the area I dont plan on taking my car anywhere else. They do good with helping lower income folks as long as you sign up for the snap stuff, but Id recommend just going there for oil changes unless you want your shock mounts installed upside down.. customer service is great though so as long as you get ahold of them right away there pretty helpful- edit. They corrected the upside down shock mounts for free so there all good in my book now

I have been going to Crosstown Auto Repair for over 5 years and dealing with the manager Matt has been a good experience. He is very knowledgeable and tries to do right by you.

I’ve been taking my vehicle there for over 3 years, always had good service until the last 2 times I took it there for repair. When I questioned why I thought it was suspicious that I was getting new more expensive quotes for the same exact problem- (a brake light that suddenly turned into $450 in repairs followed by the same issue 2 weeks later) it was met with sarcasm- and the owner literally laughed on the phone. There are many other places to take your vehicle where you will still be treated with respect- so don’t bother with this place. Just because I am a woman doesn’t mean my concern shouldn’t be adequately addressed.

Went to this shop several times with all of my vehicles, recently their attention to detail is gone. Long story short, I would not recommend this shop for anything beyond an oil change. If it is a safety item like brakes go somewhere else for your familys sake. I spent over $1k on my brakes over the course of 3 shop visits because they were not fixed after I picked up the vehicle and still dont have working ABS. On the second time I brought the vehicle back they quoted me services that needed to be done, which had already been done on the first visit. If I was not a car person and questioned it I would have paid double for unnecessary things, to the tune of +$500, keep in mind the person who told me this needed to be done was Perry the owner. Im Done, and I will no longer refer anyone to this shop.

I am so glad that I decided to call for an appointment. I dropped my car off on a Saturday, which had a myriad of issues (wheel bearing replacement, rotors/brake pads, ball joints), and they had it fixed by Monday. The price was incredible, considering all the work and parts involved, and how quickly they turned it around. No upsells or hard selling, not pushy at all. Matthew and Perry are friendly and knowledgeable, and explained everything that was done and needed. This place is amazing and I am definitely going back for anything car related.I was also surprised to learn that they create an account for you through their site that documents any maintenance done on your vehicle(s), making it extra convenient to reference. Great work and thanks a bunch!

Great service, fast turn around, honest, and great to work with. They found an issue that was causing our tires to wear out very quickly and unevenly that other shops missed, they even made using our extended warranty from the dealership super easy.

Matthew and his team do great work! They dug to the bottom to figure out what was wrong with my vehicle. After all their investigating it was a warrantied part and didnt charge me a dime for labor! Now thats what I call service.

I made an appointment and told all of my car information and they confirmed that my coupon for an oil change will work. I came to my appointment and no one was at the front desk. I waited around until someone came up to the desk. They told me to sit down and I waited for an hour. They then told me the oil change will be 26$ instead of 13$ that the coupon said. (apparently my car only takes a “special kind of oil”) I continued to wait maybe 15 more minutes and they finally started working on my car. After they were done they told me the price was 59$. Was very annoyed with waiting so long even though I had an appointment and was even more annoyed with the price changing 3 times. They should’ve told me up front and I wouldn’t be here writing this review.

Due to multiple unfortunate circumstances with my daughters car, weve become frequent flyers at Crosstown Auto, and every experience with either Matthew or Nate has been top notch! Thorough explanations, timely repairs, and fair pricing has kept us coming back. Lets face it, I think most people would agree with me when I say I HATE car repairs, but the team at Crosstown Auto take the sting out of the process! :)

My car wheels were sounding funny, so I call them up and Matthew got me in as soon as I got off the phone with him. He updated me on what they found (which in total were 3 safety issues) and was very pleasant and helpful with all of my silly questions. They saved my car and I was able to come get it the next day. I am reviewing this place again because the owner think they can reply to the reviews with non sense replies and thats the end of the issue. Their replies are full of lies and deciet. They know that we cannot reply to their fake reply and thats very unfortunate. And if there is an issue where they cannot lie their way out, they would simply say we couldnt verify you actually came to our place

Wes and Nate were great. Wes is extremely helpful and knowledgeable and really went out of his way to explain to me the issues we were having. We brought in a difficult problem with our equinox that was on an accident and he was happen to help me repair it. Nate was great helping handling all of the phone calls back and forth and very courageous. If we have another car issue I will be bringing it back here for sure.

Perry and his Crosstown Auto team have help keep my wheels going down the road without any issues. He has three family owned businesses all of which have a great staff and mechanics that do an excellent job. If you are in need of any type of vehicle work from an oil change to new brakes, I highly recommend giving one of Perry’s locations a call!

Had brake pads and rotors replaced which was done promptly. However dash brake warning light came on peridically after the work. Two attempts to correct the problem resulted in a diagnosis that a new Master Cylinder was needed (Est $190). Turns out that the sending unit for the dash light is part of a replaceable reservoir atop the master cylinder. Spent $23 for new reservoir/light sending unit and changed it in about 15 minutes. Conclusion is that either Crosstown was not aware of replaceable reservoir/sensor or were trying to sell an unnecessary master cylinder job. Former customer now.

Since moving to the south side of the twin cities last year (2015) I have been bringing my car to Crosstown Auto Repair for car maintenance. I am always greeted with a smile and a, how can I help you today?. I have asked about brake pads and transmission service and the mechanic does not recommend maintenance if it is not due and tells me when he believes I should be concerned. The waiting area is clean and coffee provided, and Crosstown is connected to a Holiday station store if you want to purchase a different beverage or snack. I find Crosstown Auto Repair to be friendly and trustworthy and recommend this place for car maintenance.

DONT GO HERE!!!! My car is manual transmission and when I went to get it checked here I was told I needed to get my whole clutch changed and it would cost me $1,600!!. Then I called burnsville motors and spoke with John. He was very honest and straightforward. After taking him a little about what issues I was having, he told me that I might not need a whole clutch and that I should bring it in to further check the car.. the next day he called me and told me I only needed a small tube changed and would only cost me $500 total parts and labor included!!!! My clutch pedal is perfect and my car runs good!! These people are here for money and not to take care of you... they take advantage of you while you are down... GO TO BURNSVILLE MOTORS OFF HIGHWAY 13... ITS .4 MILES FROM HERE!!!!!

Brought my truck here because its close to my job and I had a coupon for a $13 oil change. Mentioned my truck was pulling to the left and Id like them to check the alignment as well. Turns out my alignment was fine, but the left camber was bad. Gave them the go ahead to fix it. BIG mistake! When I got my truck back the wheel well skirt on the left side was shredded and hanging in the wheel well and the alignment was way off. Far worse than it was initially. I brought it back. They zip tied the skirt back in my wheel well and assured me theyd fixed the camber/alignment issue. Again. My truck pulls harder to the left than it ever has and doesnt drive the same. I will never be back and wouldnt recommend their services to a soul.

Tuesday night I driving home from work around 6:30 and I called Crosstown to see if I could in for an oil change. I was overdue and had to go out of town. They were very accommodating and 45 minutes later I was home with my oil changed. Thanks Crosstown.

West did a great job with my Chrysler Town and country van I had brung it into the shop cause my oil dipstick handle was broken even though it was minor it need to be done asap in they stop what they were doing in took the time to look at it for me.

Dropped off my car to get a diagnostic towards end of the work day, and they tried there best to get to it. I went back next morning as I realized I urgently needed my vehicle, and would comeback next week for diagnosis/repairs. It turns out they already started diagnosis, as my car was still in same spot i parked it last night, I was a little rude thinking they never started it. Service agent called mechanic, and they clearly did start with the diagnosis. Even after being rude they gave me a huge discount for there time diagnosing the vehicle. Driving off the lot I really wished I kept it there to be fixed and felt awful.

I have had my vehicles there serviced many times. Work has always been first class. Good at meeting my time requirements.

Crosstown auto repair is affordable and trustworthy. Ive been going there for years, and they are the only place Ive found that will not try to up-sell/ overcharge you. If anything appears to be wrong, they always call and explain to me what they found and if they think it needs to be addressed, or if I can hold off - they always explain my options. Their customer service is about as friendly as they come.

They were nice at first and said they would tow my car for free because i was Only .4 miles away but once i reslised It was $960 dollars to fix and decided not to fix it i was Told i owe $90 for the 30 second tow and 120 for them telling me what was wrong with it which was the same thing i already told them was wrong with it, when i went To get the car it was outside with the windows down and it was unlocked and would not start when it had a brand new battery, pretty sure they did that on purpose smh ended up having my neighbor fix it for $180 lol

My 2010 Fusion had battery problems, and they were able to diagnose and replace it and give me an oil change in under an hour, with no notice, and for what I would consider a very competitive price. The techs were friendly, and even the coffee was good. Ill likely be returning here for all of my future service needs.

Very disappointed! My first visit as a new customer I felt with Cory and Perry owner and manager they were polite and didnt recommend more than I needed however the new employee (young man) took all day and was just a ball joint replacement I watched and noticed they dont use the proper tools such as a hydraulic press they used a torch and hammer something a back woods garage might use not an ASE certified shop at 150 an hour btw the shop was empty and not busy what stop ever however I felt it may have been isolated unsatisfactory service so given the second visit different vehicle I Was told a hose replacement would cost 900 dollars and take 5 days when the part was in stock! I left taking my business elsewhere. Furthermore to add to it I I was left cleaning grease off my interior driver A pillar and found a fresh dent scrape on the driver door. I will never go back to this place and would recommend that you watch closely and do not trust they will take care of your vehicle. If you want to risk it that is ,I Hope you have better luck!

I stopped in town for the X Games and ended up getting my truck looked over here. It had not been driven in about 3 years so I really wanted the tires balanced after driving about 300 mile. The discovered my rocker arm was falling apart and saved me from a major breakdown. The price was fare and saved me from a future serious problem. I would suggest making an appointment there really busy!There are restaurants close and the bus stop is right out on the corner. Decent Hotel next door.

I would not recommend anyone to this place, there customer services is horrible and they don’t have the experience of any mechanical issues. they would take your car in the back shop and after so long, they will bring your car out and nothing has been done, it was my fault for not checking my car right away, when I came back the next day to let them know the problem is still there, all They Said is “we apologize for any inconvenience unfortunately the guy who fixed your car is not here at the moment you can pay extra money and will take look at again or come back tomrow and talk the guy who fixed your car” very unprofessional and unappreciative. Again pls take your care some where else where you would get appreciated for your business and where you can get your car fixed properly. This place is a fraud and they would take your money for nothing.

Traveling through to Mankato on a Friday night and had vehicle problems. Called Crosstown Auto on Saturday morning and luckily they were open and were available to replace my wheel bearing. This place is ok. They were a little on the slow side. A little spendy for an oil change but not too bad. Did a check on the vehicle which seemed acurate.

Scam artists since the new owner/management. They lie about what they need to do to vehicles, especially to women. They forget to tighten up crucial components. I.e. oil drain plugs, timing components, and engine essentials not to mention they lose parts and replace them with mis-matched hardware. BBB needs to get involved soon. Id give them negative stars if possible

Exhaust resonator gave out while driving on 35 and they took a look at it right away and tied it up. All without charge and right before closing!

My son who is 19 had a break down and left his car in the parking lot at Crosstown Auto as it wasnt drivable. The mechanics said they could look at it for him and he said that if they did he wouldnt pay for it as I have a mechanic that does all of my auto work and his car would be towed away. Crosstown did look at it and quoted him $800 to fix the problem and they wouldnt let him tow his car without paying their fee to look at his vehicle (Remember, my son said that he wouldnt pay this fee). The car was towed to my mechanic and they agreed that he needed some of those repairs although what was missed is that the engine also needed to be replaced. Their mechanic did not look deep enough into the issue and if the car was repaired their we would have been out $800 because he wouldnt have replaced the engine due to the additional $3000.00 cost. I would not recommend Crosstown auto to anyone as they may be good at the little things although when it comes to real repairs they dont seem to be experienced diagnosing these things. By the way - they wont refund the fee to my son even though he never gave them permission to look at his car for a fee.

A friend of mine used a 13.95 coupon for an oil change the other day and Cody said that they charge shop supplies of 1.99 which includes topping off fluids. The issue is that they didnt tell my friend that prior to doing the oil change that that was what the charge was used for......then....they DID NOT do the top off of fluids. I know....charge someone for something and then dont do it..??? I talked to the owner and he said it must be a quality control issue and he would address it. Use your own judgement about getting service from a place that says they are charging you for things that they never complete. hmmmm.... I wont be back there for any service for my vehicles.
