This ice cream place is just expensive for nothing. We ordered ice cream sundae and spilt banana boat. Very casual taste nothing special in the flavors. I give Brayers ice cream more stars then this place. Would not go back!Please check the reviews from other customers. I am not the only person complaining.By the way I asked for strawberry ice cream with strawberry syrup as “topping”. Instead I got vanilla ice cream with strawberries on top. I respect and support small owned businesses. But now if you’re ice cream is not what it used to be or if the customer service is not 100%. Would it be fare to give feedback so your business could improve and do better?..Should a customer not leave an honest feedback nor suggest anything?

I visited the restaurant tonight wanting some good old fashioned ice cream, yet when I got to the window, it took me a while to get the girls attention who was sitting down on her phone. Finally when she did get up and over to the window, I received an attitude like I interrupted her show, for clearly she did not want to be there and would rather be on her phone. I ask simply that the girl working at the window stop worrying about her phone and start paying attention to her JOB.

I ordered a 2 scoop sundae with Oreo ice cream and birthday cake ice cream which are both vanilla based and my sundae came out with chocolate ice cream flavors. For what you pay for a small sundae, I would have rather gone to any other ice cream shop to get what I ordered. Will probably not go back.

Strawberry ice cream had 2 strawberries in it. Waffle cones were soft/stale. Disappointed because I bragged about this place to my guests out of town.

Lived around the corner on W. Pearl St when I first moved to NJ at 8 years old in the mid 80’s and been coming here since ever since. I’m 42 now and feel like a kid again every time I go. Except, now I pay. Even remember getting in trouble for trying to use the tip money for my haircut down the street to buy ice cream here and baseball cards from the little shop near the firehouse and then not having enough to pay for the cut. The stylist knew my mom and called her, but it was worth it. I live 45 minutes away now, but still try to come back a couple times a year with my 3 kids and get a root beer float or homemade waffle cone and take a walk down high street to the river and through the old neighborhood.

The girl who took our order was so rude and nasty. Also, what kind of ice cream place doesn’t have soft serve or sprinkles? Their menu was hard to read since it was faded and there were no lights outside. I wouldn’t have minded if the girl wasn’t so rude.

The food isnt always fresh unless you ask for something custom, but that does seem to be getting better lately.

Very disappointed! Ice cream is very icy and not creamy at all. You can tell right away that they use low end dairy. Higher quality ice cream shops use more expensive and cream with a higher fat content for a more rich and creamy product. I came here with high expectations and left very disappointed. I guess I will have to travel a little more for good ice cream. Service was good and staff is friendly... just wish the ice cream was better.

I remember when this place opened up 30 years ago and it has always been a place of joy. There is outside tables and if its too hot out sit inside in the ac. I love the boost slushies in the summer. It has a nice 50s style to it. And its right next to the waterfront so after you get ice-cream go for a nice walk along the river.

We had an amazing time, got a small ice cream, and two small sundaes. We were served at a table using glass dishes and water on a Saturday. Very creamy and delicious ice cream, would very much like to come back!

The ice cream was good, even though the scoop size was smaller than the last time we went, and it melted really fast despite being in the air-conditioning. The tables needed cleaning and the floor was dirty like it hadnt been cleaned since yesterday morning. The young man who served us seemed like he would rather be somewhere else. One of the other guys behind the counter couldnt be bothered to put his stupid phone down and was eating the whole time. Overall, Im dissapointed with the experience we had, this time. Hoping next time will be better.

The staff here at Ummm’s are friendly and the ice cream is good. I like how they make the waffle cones right in front of you and have a nice variety of toppings to choose from for your ice cream.

This is a classic old timey ice cream counter. They have fantastic fresh made waffle cones. wait staff outside using techy tablets and paying via Square , but the old-time feel and hometown local attitude still make this worth the visit.

I used to come here when I lived in the Mt. Holly area, even before gentrification started in the Burlington city center. The ice cream and shakes were top quality, high fat content, and the facility was clean and very well maintained. Just went back yesterday for a visit and my disappointment meter almost wrapped the indicator pin around the far end of the Aw Shucks scale. The product was Ice Milk. Crystalline, thin, and both the vanilla and chocolate chip mint left an artificial flavor aftertaste in my mouth. My waffle cone, two scoop order was broken when delivered to the table by an youngster, without apology or offer to redo the order. I judged the decor and cleanliness of the bathroom and seating area mediocre. Nothing to recommend to anyone and I will not go back in the future. Too many other places are being run much better within a 10 mile radius.

Ice cream sunday was good but the one flavor of icecream a bit freezer burnt. Wamhat passed me off the most was the menus for a larger sunday was 7.05 but they charged me 7.85 and the medium was like 5.85 but charged 6.15... what a ripp off

You cant get a better setting for dessert in the surrounding area. You want to sit at Curlys sandwiched between Route 130 North and South? You want to drive to Columbus or Delran for other specialty ice cream shops or stand in an endless line at a Ritas? No, no you dont.The warm, inviting feeling of this Burlington City establishment will have you coming back. UMMMs is a place to make memories. Whether its biking there with your friends after school for a Boost slushie or taking a date there on a hot summers eve to get a double scoop and walk along the Delaware.Its a comforting feeling to think, with all the growth and changes that Burlington City will see in its near future, UMMMs will still be standing there on the corner for future generations.
