Writing this review for my mom because she doesn’t have a google account and she really wanted to leave one.They fixed my transfer case, a leak I had and the ac and heater in my 94 Chevy Truck.Their service and price is hard to beat. Honestly a good experience with these guys. Came in, they looked at my truck. Figured out what was wrong with it and they were extremely busy. Didnt charge me a thing either. Sadly i wont be in town when they have available but id definitely trust these guys with my vehicles.

Im always skepitcal abput taking me vehicles to an independent shop that I dont know anyone who works there or wasnt referred by someone.Interstate Tire provided an excellent experience from start to finish. The most trustworthy shop in town. Can’t give enough praise to Steve, Greg, and the rest of the crew and I can’t imagine taking my car anywhere else.

They do good work for very reasonable prices, and they do everything, not just tires. Id taken my 1984 van to several highly rated mechanics, and they all seemed irritated/hesitant to work on it, but not these guys.

These folks are fast and fully transparent on pricing.

They were recommended by a friend as her go-to mechanic shop. My appointment was kept as scheduled. The work was promptly done. Ive scheduled a tune-up for next week.

Best price then other shops but higher then costco, sams club or walmart autos. I went there to install 2 tires cost 25 dollars each. i brought tires my self online and they did not mind at all. They do not have customer waiting area so i had to keep hanging outside for 30 minutes while they was working for me.

Well worth the money. They installed parts I had bought seperatly without a fuss. The service was fast too! Greg was an amazing help, fixed a minor problem for free after I paid, explained things easily and let me know about current issues that should be fixed soon which of coarse I will be going back to them for shortly.

Have been bringing my cars to this shop for many years Experienced mechanics. Always do a great job. They go out of their way to help solve the car issues.... I would 100% recommend them.

We are beyond satisfied with the customer care that was provided to us by Interstate. Steve was more than happy to assist us in not only repairing our vehicle but willing to take our car in via tow from another repair shop that was unable to complete the job without us being present with the guarantee that his shop would in fact make the necessary repairs. Even more beyond that, the repair was half the cost of the original repair shop that could not complete the job and completed within the day.

I just moved to the area and am thrilled to have found a trustworthy repair shop. I brought my car in to have my brakes inspected and most likely replaced after being told by the Mazda dealership in Fairbanks, AK that the rear brakes needed to be replaced. I told Interstate this up front, and they could have easily have told me the brakes needed replaced to make a quick buck. Instead, they inspected the brakes and told me there was no need to replace them. I will certainly use Interstate the next time my car needs work.

Very honest, and fair priced. I was turned on to these guys by a very good friend, and now, wont take my vehicles anywhere else. Steve and Tom have always gone above and beyond for me, and for this, I am grateful. Just call ahead because they are so great that theyre always very busy.

Transmission Fluid ChangeoutLove these guys. They sealed up all the oil leaks in my engine last year, and this year they changed out my transmission fluid THE RIGHT WAY for my older Toyota, which is remove the pan to drain the fluid and then refill the fluid WITHOUT PUMPING. Maybe a little more expensive than comparable down the street but MUCH MORE trustworthy in my opinion. Others may tell you one thing and actually do it a different way.

I was driving to pick up a co worker who lives in the area and one of my major belts went out. I asked her if she knew of a local mechanic that she trusted in the area. She said yes, and she was referred to them through another friend.I took in my car, they performed the work at a reasonable price and it was completed the same day.I am impressed with the service and the honesty of this shop, which I will be a long term customer for sure.

Had to get my rear shocks replaced immediately and the guys here took care of me regardless that they were booked up. Really quick work with good quality parts. Best of all Steve was able to give me a heck of a deal by comparison to atleast 4 other shops in the area. I wouldnt hesitate to come here again. Solid work guys...thank you for getting me back to being road worthy!

Who ever is picking up the phone today Wednesday July 22nd is extremely rude and need to work on his customer service he hung up in my face because he didnt know how to verbally state he needed more information .About the rim and tire.

I suggest you approach this shop with caution. Im glad that so many people that have had a good experience here, since there are many great reviews, but I had problems. I have wrestled with whether or not to leave a review, but feel its important to offer my personal experience with this shop, and perhaps one particular employee. I brought my car in because I was experiencing vibrations when I drove on the highway, and suspected I needed my wheels balanced. My regular mechanic was on vacation at the time and I didnt want to wait for him to return in two weeks. I was given an appointment at Interstate Tire & Automotive within a couple of days, and was happy to get the car in so quickly. That was the only good thing that happened. I got a call that I needed new spark plugs, and given an estimate for $325 to replace them. It seemed high, but I had no idea how expensive that fee was in comparison to the actual cost of the plugs. However, my main issue arose when I was given a ride back to my house while they checked the car out. The fellow who drove me home told me that there was a bad rattle to the car and it was an indication of a very serious problem, and I should have it checked into, otherwise my car was likely to seriously malfunction while driving, and kill the car on the spot. Then he told me that I had chosen cheap tires for the car, and should upgrade to better tires. Oddly, when I replaced the tires, two years prior, I purchased a mid-grade tire, but they were not cheap, and I was offended by his insinuation that I buy cheap products. I generally go by the recommendation of my mechanic, but this fellows attitude turned me off, so if he had approached the conversation differently, he might have secured a sale for new tires. When he alerted me that I needed spark plugs, I noted that they had only been in a year. He told me my mechanic had used cheap plugs that were actually designed for a different car engine, and so the plugs were not the right plugs for the car, and he was surprised I didnt have more problems. I rent from a former mechanic and someone very savvy with cars. When I mentioned how much the spark plugs were going to cost, I was taken to a auto parts shop and we asked for the best and most expensive plugs for my car. The total cost was $18, and that included tax. The bill for the replacing the plugs was $325, so $307 for labor seems exorbitant to me. However, again, my primary issue was with the employees attitude and how he kept finding ways to point out that my mechanic (s) had done poor work and chosen cheap products. Perhaps I just got a greedy employee who gets a cut of the bill if you sign up for more services/products, but I will never return to this shop again, nor will I ever recommend them.

A good friend of mine told me that her family has been taking all their cars to this so for YEARS and I can see why. They are trustworthy and friendly and incredibly reasonable. I drive all the way down from shoreline to have my car cared for by these guys! And will for many more years.

Great customer service & honest. Dropped off my car this morning for the 90k service. I bought it used with 82k miles, and I assumed the timing belt & water pump had not been replaced yet. That is typically done around the 90k mark. They called me promptly to let me know that those 2 items had been replaced already which saved me about $700. Not all shops would say anything. That means a lot in my book & they will definitely get my future business.

I had a heavy duty bumper and grill guard installed at interstate and they did an awesome job!! Also had my truck serviced there. All was done professionally and at reasonable rate. Love this place.

I dropped in on a Saturday to get my flat tire fixed, and they did it within an hour while I waited. The waiting room was comfortable and had lots of interesting books and magazines. I particularly enjoyed the Seattle history books and photos on the wall.

Always a good experience and fair pricing. Had to have TPMS changed out and they even suggested I go on Amazon to get the best deal! They had no problem installing parts I purchased elsewhere, which is rare.

I came in with a screw in my tire, and they told me we can get that done in 20 minutes. Less than 20 minutes later, my tire was repaired and they wouldnt accept payment, telling me, We take care of people around here. Needless to say, I left a very nice tip for the service technician who repaired my tire.You just dont find that kind of old school friendly neighborhood service many places anymore, so I couldnt more highly recommend them. You guys rock!

These guys rock. I am a mechanic so I am fairly hard on shops. My 95 Dodge Truck just passed its 200,000 miles and never had the front end worked on. They quoted me a fair price, did the work they said they would and rebuilt the entire steering front end and charged me the price they originally quoted me.....For this area, that is unheard of. Hey, you other automotive places why not follow the leader and do like these guys do. Thanks again!!!

I brought my GMC Safari 1995 van into this place at 8 in the morning the day before I was told to bring it in that they would make an opening for me when I got here they told me there was 21 cars here already . I have a intoxalock interlock on my vehicle for something that I did 5 years ago. The mechanic told me that to leave a new one he was kind of bummed out about hearing that but told to told to leave a new breathing piece I called them at 3 and it hadnt even been looked at yet at 5 a clock I called and how do you said they couldnt get it started. I guess I guess it was my misunderstanding because I was told he had messed with these many many times. So my van sat here all day with no phone call that they couldnt get it started . Ball thing is if the customer calls you the day before and you say that bring it in at 8 then they get there and its totally swamped from taking reservations from the day before was bad customer service right out the gate. I sat at home all day waiting for this just to have a diagnostic run on it. Which by the way was told to me they could do it in an hour and a half labor. So they just lost a customer. And and I was willing to spend a lot of money to get this vehicle fixed up. What happened too good Communications with your customers. Was all the good write-ups that I see what happened with me. Ive lived here my whole life. Im really upset thought I was treated like this with no concern at all.

How to replace my fuel pump. Got my truck back. Realize that they hadnt tightened up the hoses clamps to the fuel filter. Couple days later I start filling up and gas is pouring on the ground. They hadnt tighten the clamps to the fuel hose.

I have been using Interstate for along time and they always do a great job. Steve the owner is a real straight shooter and always gives me the best price

I appreciate the work Interstate Tire does and their employees. I recently purchased a battery for my 2007 Honda. I showed up on a Saturday morning needing a battery and the mechanic took me in and replaced it and I was on my way within 25 mins. There were 2 mechanics working that morning and they were very busy and could have easily told me they would not be able to get to this for a couple of hours and I would have understood. Even though they were busy, Hatcher the mechanic took the time to discuss my battery options and provided me with the battery I wanted at a reasonable price. Cheers to them. Keep up the good work. I will continue to refer customers to their shop.

I arrived unannounced, no appointment, with a strange noise emanating from my engine. Steve was courteous, polite and diagnosed the problem immediately... he added some power steering fluid which cured the problem and didnt ask for a dime, ready to let me go on my way. I chose instead to leave my car with him for servicing... when I picked it up, it was running better than it has in years... The folks at Interstate were trustworthy, fast and informative. My wife called me from Trader Joes in Burien with a flat tire. I looked up the nearest auto shop (Interstate Tire and Auto) and called them to see if they could help her out. The owner offered to walk across the street with a portable air tank to fill up her tire so she could at least drive over to their shop and figure out what was wrong. Back at the shop they found a nail embedded in the tire, pulled it out, patched the hole and sent her on her way and didnt charge her a penny! Thanks so much! Well definitely head back there in the future.

Bummed I didnt catch the name of the mechanic that helped me today, but he was great! He was on the younger side like 20s or in his early 30s, he dropped what he was doing and came out to help me! Started working on my suv immediately and got the new ac belt put on (a previous shop didnt put it back on properly when they did the timing belt) anyways, after he put it on, he had me start my vehicle and he heard another belt making a chirping sound... Turns out the morons at the shop that I got the timing belt done at, where they messed up my ac belt by putting the 16yr old cracked crappy belt back on incorrectly, didnt put the power steering belt back on correctly as well!! The name of that horrible shop is 8-Velocity off hwy 99 Mountlake Terrace area (dont go there!) well the mechanic at Interstate fixed my power steering belt after fixing my ac belt! What a doll! Hes great! Ill definitely be going back to them and only them from here on. You want a trusted reliable mechanic? GO TO INTERSTATE!! I was a first time customer & they took care of me as if Ive been going through them for years! He couldve taken advantage of me, being and female and not knowing a ton about vehicles..but I did my research before going in and everything he said was 100% honest! Sorry for the long review, Ive just never been so greatly taken care of by a mechanic shop until now! Im 30 and have been driving since I was 16. I wished I wouldve known about this shop years ago! It wouldve saved me a lot of time and money! ❤

Quickly diagnosed an engine leak as a bad spark plug job. Another time replaced my water pump and belts at the same time. No halfway effort here. Jobs done right the first time.
