Burien Auto Repair Inc in Burien has always given me excellent service and provided professionalism in every aspect. Richard knows what hes doing and will explain everything to you in a way you can understand. These guys are AWESOME.

Called at 9am on a Tuesday morning. Had car towed there and by the end of the afternoon they had diagnosed the problem. I will ONLY go to Burien Auto going forward. My daughter also works at the dog daycare across the street and she has a dead battery. They had it replaced and car washed by the end of her shift. These guys are truly the salt of the earth! Couldn’t recommend them higher.

I purchased a used sprinter van and have repeatedly brought it in to this shop. Felt great going on a 32 day road trip knowing I had quality repairs to do so.

Richard and his staff at Burien Auto Repair are very friendly, helpful and professional. I needed a new catalytic converter and exhaust manifold and after getting numerous quotes I went to Burien Auto Repair and Richard was able to get me one at a very reasonable cost with labor that I was comfortable with. When the parts came in, I was able to leave my vehicle with him and he had it done in a very timely manner. It’s been a couple of months now and the check engine light has never come back on since and my car runs way much better. When I picked my car up I brought up how my side mirrors were a little loose which I forgot to bring ip to him prior and he took the time to tighten them up for me. Even little things like that to me are above and beyond. Very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them and I will definitely use them sgsin in the future.

I brought my Jeep Grand Cherokee down to Richard to service my brakes. After a review of all of my brakes he saw that I had a good amount of life left and explained that a noise I was hearing was due to the material of the brake pad. Instead of proceeding with the brakes, he was honest, informative, and all-around a good dude! Then, I get into my car and find that his team had vacuumed out the entire thing! Best service Ive ever had and the price for the shops labor was extremely reasonable. I think I found my long-term spot for car maintenance!

Needed spark plugs replaced in my truck. Called on a Monday and was able to get in on Thursday. The work was done quick, and even came in under the estimate.Very friendly, took time to explain some other issues he found while working on my truck and what kind of timeframe I had until the work needed to be done.

This place is so awesome. Richard fixed our car in less than 24 hours, just a starter issue but he was honest about the other issues we may also want to address. Then when we came to pick up the car, he did a show and tell of the filters we needed changed too. What a great repair shop. I honestly did not look at reviews when we found this place. When my car died, I just looked to see who was open near my house that I could tow it too and he really did not disappoint. We will be going back here for all our other car repairs moving forward. Thanks for the excellent service. Oh and the vacuum and washing of the car was such a nice added touch for when we came to get it!

Very professional and thorough. Checked and changed all fluids including differentials, transmission, brake fluid, flushed coolant, and aired up spare tire, checked wheels and brakes, and after checking all mechanical systems and replacing fluids they washed truck and vacuumed interior! While the hourly rate is on the higher end, they earned every penny and I am very pleased. My truck is ready for the next 30,000 miles. I will be back here again for my next services

I’ve been a customer of Burien Auto Repair for 20+ years. I drive from Redmond and rent a car because Richard is the only mechanic I completely trust. I trust him with my older ski boat as well all my vehicles. He will give me an estimate and it will always come in exactly as quoted. He takes time to explain what is going on and has always gone the extra mile to make sure I’m completely satisfied. He’s very straight forward and knows his business. I rarely write reviews but for Richard I would do it in a second.

Im going to assume the owner is the one who took care of me. He is super friendly, pointed me in the right direction toward a dog park while he did his thing. They even vacuumed and washed my car which was far above and beyond. I do love how friendly they are which makes me want to keep coming back. The only thing that bothered me was the masks seemed like an option when they shouldnt be.

I’m a student at UW and found the commute down and back to be worth it. Richard explained what repairs were necessary, what each entailed, and my options then answered all the questions I had. They also got my car fixed up in a short time before I had to roadtrip across the country for a move. They communicated and helped me plan my trip to drop-off and pickup the car (between Seattle and Burien). 10/10 would recommend

The folks at Burien Auto Repair are both friendly and very professional. Theyre conveniently located near downtown Burien with easy parking. My car has been running great since I started going there a few years ago. I take it there for my inspections and oil changes and for any issues I have.

Came here to have my car checked out, I knew I needed transmission fluid changed and my car was having a shaking problem. Richard did a safety check and assured me that my car wasnt in immediate danger, but recommended about $1500 in tune up stuff. I scheduled an appointment to get my tires replaced, but when I came to drop my car off (after rearranging my work schedule), Richard wasnt there and hadnt even ordered the tires. My car died a week later because it did have some serious issues that he did not notice. I personally would not trust this place to help with any car problems.

Jim is the best repair choice period. He’s honest, does great work, and works fast. His per rate is a fraction of the big dealership service centers. I drive an hour from my house and it’s worth every minute as I know the work he is doing is necessary. I have zero concerns that he would ever do something that didn’t need to be done. I can’t say that about the other repair shops I have used.

We came in by tow truck knowing we had a coolant/radiator issue. Richard diagnosed and got the specific hose, and reattached it to stay put.

Couldnt have asked for a better experience! My car was dropped off around 9am, issue diagnosed, part ordered, car repaired, vacuumed and washed and ready to be picked up at 4pm. The cost was even less than originally quoted. My car dealership wasnt able to diagnose the issue and was basically worthless but Burien Auto Repair made the process SO EASY AND STRESS FREE.I’ve continued taking my car to Burien Auto Repair for my oil changes and I’m impressed with the speed and quality of service provided. My car is always cleaner when I pick it up than when I left it.

I just feel when I go in there that Im not being gouged or cheated. The work is done very professionally and they always have my car ready when they promise. Ive never had any problems after they fixed it. It seems like its always at a reasonable cost and theyve actually not fix things that I thought were broken which they could have fixed and charged me that I would have never have known.I also like the fact that the guy didnt seem to mind when I stop by and ask him questions about cars I have considered purchasing. There was a car I really liked at a local dealership and he quicky talked me out of buying the car which would have been in the shop, his shop, for really expensive repairs every other month. Later I talked to someone who had that same vehicle and that was exactly their experience.But anyway yeah hes a nice friendly guy explains all your car problems in a way you can understand recommends other places you can go to get stuff done like realignments and stuff like that. Seems really nice stuff in the Price Is Right I can recommend.

That does great work and are trustworthy give Burien Auto Repair a chance.I was visiting from out of town and found a coolant leak in my Mountaineer.The fixed my leak and took care of several other items that were over due to be repaired. I mean stuff that needed to be done to make the car safe.I was back on the road the next day and the SUV is doing great.I will definitely give them more business and so should you!

Richard and his crew quickly and efficiently located a problem I didn’t know I had (a bad pulley, belt and tensioner in danger of failing and causing a breakdown), but also fixed my AC at low cost after discovering a faulty relay and installing a small amount of Freon. The AC now blows cold and the engine runs much more smoothly than before.

Spoke with a Richard today t try to see how much I would be to replace an alternator and get an oil change. Not only did he not want to give me a price estimate But then throughout a ball park figure of $800 to $900 for an alternator and oil change!! Also kept say it’s a super old car that that’s why it’s so expensive!!Called their neighbor Community Auto spoke with Dan and he was great gave me a final price of $281 for oil change and alternator. That was about $500 difference!!Do NOT recommend this place to anyone!!

Probably best experience Ive had at an auto repair place. Person who Im guessing is the owner is super nice and never seems rushed when dealing with customers. I went once for a tune up and returned for my second tune up on another car. Hes very detailed and trys to explain every single thing to you. This coming from someone who doesnt know much about cars, I felt like I knew exactly what was done to my car and why it was done.

Like many of us a check engine light just means $$$$. I took my pickup to Burien Auto Repair based on the online reviews that I read and I am very happy that I did. I got an honest assessment of the potential issues and a reasonable estimate of the financial damages that I faced. After authorizing replacement of parts to a particular amount, I was very pleasantly surprised to receive a call stating that my problem had been resolved with a fraction of that amount. A less scrupulous operator would have maxed out the bid and been ok with that. Honest and skilled professionals are a rare breed and I will be a repeat customer guaranteed. By the way, if you read the reviews you will notice that 100% of the customers who have had work done are 5 stars... just sayin.
