Every time we visit Burbank we stop at the Do It Center. The people are always helpful and they have some products (believe it or not) that we do not find at the typical home stores here in San Diego. They have a wide variety of products from keys to home beautification products. Make sure you stop by and visit if nothing else for the cats that live on premises. Thats right, cats. They are so sweet and loving and it is the best to see them walking around while you pick up what you need.

Great place. Friendly helpful staff. Good prices. Best part: shop cats, usually found lounging in the lumber section. I found them cuddled up on plywood on a stack of lattice.😻

Cannot believe Ive never taken the time to come here before today. This place is great and seems to have everything the bigger name stores do not carry. It is also kept immaculately clean and organized. Definitely plan on making a home projects list and spending some time and cash here.

DIY Home Center in Burbank is the best alternative to Home Depot I’ve found. Unless your a contractor working a huge project DIY will have the inventory for 90% of home improvement projects. You also won’t have to deal with the big lines and parking at Home Depot or Lowe’s. I’m always willing to drive a little further to DIY because I know it will be an easier shopping experience.

Love this place, rather come here for my d.i.y. projects, better than the big box stores. The associates here really know their stuff.

They carry beautiful lawn and patio furniture, every kind of fertilizer and plant accessory, bird seed, kitchen ware, kitchen utensils, storage bins, bird feeders, outdoor lighting, seasonal decorations, tools, even a selection of toys. There are also 2 resident cats, Daisy and Cinnamon to make your visit a happy one. Plenty of free parking and senior discount.

I have great experience with this store in Burbank! Unlike Lowes or Home Depot it is easy to find someone to ask questions and you know they will help you. DIY, keep it up!!

I really love this place.1. The people that work there are so nice. They go that extra bit to help you get just what you need. If you ask the wrong person for what you want theyll get the right person to help you. Imagine that🤔2. So much parking space! And everything is close.3. If you buy something heavy you can ask an employee write up an invoice then go pay the cashier, pull up to the big doors at the NE side of the building & ring the bell, show your receipt and they load it up for you. Doesnt get easier than that!4. They actually have a pretty good garden area in a small size. I buy quite a lot of plants there and am never disappointed.5. They do accept returns so make sure you keep your receipt and return the item within the return time period. No problems there.6. If you love kitchen/cooking utensils and other kitchen treasures youll love that aisle. (Get the marble cheese cutter! It is a Marvel!)7. Theyll usually order items for you in most cases.8. Last but not least, I get to enjoy the store cats. They wander around greeting everyone. One of the perks😺

Love supporting local business but will not be coming here anymore. July 7th at 8am. Went in after checking the company policy of matching prices of some internet competitor. In this case it was Ace hardware. Lady manager stated they only match local stores. This is not what the company policy states. She was a little arrogant. Had she handled it differently I may have let it go but she came across like she was the owner and didn’t care what the company policy stated. Also called the corporate office and left two messages but no one called back.

Husband was opening a painting machine box to inspect what inclides(I understand it wasnt the right decision)and an agresive emoyer came and almost yelled sir dont open the box and aggressively took it away from his hands like if he was stealing the big box I can buy 10 of those $286.00 dollars for my bussines!. So I kindly approach him and explained. He was angry.I bought the machine hah! Wont return.

I really wanted to give my business to the smaller neighborhood store but the employee couldn’t be bothered to assist me when I was asking a question or at least turn me over to another employee who maybe wasn’t as busy. I’ll take my business elsewhere

Very helpful and nice people...AND KITTY! Now I just need to find more reasons to come back to this store to hang out with kitty cat. I recommend breaking a few things at home and bringing them in. Perhaps kitty cat can give me good self fix-it solutions and replacements. I know the other employees can but I want it told to me in a tiny, high pitched baby mew!

Great place seem to have most things needed by contractors with plenty of materials in stocks unlike the home depot who are usually out of stock , their staff are friendly and have a good grasp of material location in the store , once again unlike the home depot whos staff seem confused when you ask them their name

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the store is well stocked. A reasonable alternative to the Lowes or HD.

They have a nice selection of plants, pots, kitchen implements & storage tools. Paints, carpentry hardware and really great seasonal things. Tons of household items including sinks & toilets. I bought a nice planter pot and a bag of soil today but I almost got an adorable cheese grater too. Im always tempted to get a birdhouse or another cute kitchen tool.

Sometimes you dont need a big hardware. Its nice cuz you dont have to do a lot of walking there and they have a nice little garden shop too. I went in to get replacement Christmas bulbs an air filter for the central air unit. When I was over in the Christmas section something caught my eye and it was the store, their tabby kitty cat moseying along. The kitty brings a nice vibe to the store. I like looking at their fun kitchen gizmos and Ive come in many a time to get storage boxes and stuff. Just nice easy shopping experience today. Their people are friendly and helpful. 😀

Went to the store for the first time today - great selection, well-laid-out floorplan, easy to quickly go in and out (especially during COVID-19). Also, this lovely, polite queen helped brighten my day, so theres that....

I love DIY Center! The staff is always very courteous and helpful. I asked for advice about the best way to put screws securely into drywall. The advisor was knowledgable and showed me a superb technique. Quite honestly, his approach was much better and easier than what I had been doing.I also love the house kitty that is kind of the store mascot. She was taking a siesta and I actually took a photo without her permission. I hope she doesnt mind.

Totally unexpected true large to small quality hardware Lumber plumbing whole house build & makeover & nursery supplies, you can build rhe house and literally furnish it from floor moldings to table top chotckies for fun & entertainment, toys, too much to mention !AND, sometimes the parts tou. cannot find anywhere else. If you live, visit, or work in this area you MUST have DIY on your regular errand runs list. Youll ALWAYS make your project a better success or even better than what you anticipated.

Waited 30 min just to get help. Asked 3 different employees to help me find the right person. Asked to speak to the manager. Waited again for 10 min. He took me to someone who immediately had no interest in helping me. As a matter of fact, he was more concerned about my dog wanting to say hi to him vs me at all. (A tiny frenchie. There were other dogs in the store).This was my fist time to this store and it will be the last.

Called and asked if they had what I needed they said yes and when I got there they did not have what I needed bummed me out

This is for two separate visits:1. Went in around end of June to purchase a few items, got to the check out and gave the woman my card. The strip was really worn and she told me she didnt have the capability to manually enter in the number, unheard of but fine - gave her another card.2. Went back a couple days ago to exchange/return an item I didnt need and since I didnt have the receipt, the checker had to look up my purchase by card number. She told me my card was not showing record of having been charged and that the item I purchased hadnt been sold since May - What?? Its on my bank statement... I explained how it was the right card and she tried to look it up again. I asked to speak to the manager who explained that there was no luck locating my card number in their system, nor the item that was sold. She said they didnt issue store credit or gift cards, couldnt refund me without the receipt.All the while every regular who walked in was greeted by first name and socialized with the store associates - how this place has regulars, I couldnt tell you. They were not willing to make the situation right and what irked me the most was that I felt like I was being punished for returning something I purchased from them, like it was my fault I didnt need the item anymore. Couldnt pay me to return to this place, even if I got my refund.

Usually have what I’m looking for but always have to search. The guys that work here are usually helpful and knowledgeable but the women (who are only stationed at the cashiers) all seem to have a major nasty attitude. Why is that??? Because of this, the DIY store is usually my last choice in addition to the fact they are extremely overpriced.

I just love my local DIY store its been in the neighborhood for years and usually the best prices and the best pic of a Pretty much everything you need.

Between my last two home repairs, DIY center probably saved me over $600 in repair fees. The helpful staff helped me through both repairs and total cost for materials was about $50. I now go there for everything! Good selection, good prices, family owned. A shopping experience no big box store or online retailer can ever replicate. Did I mention they have the coolest resident house cat?!

Just looked this place up online at 7:30 this morning.Talked to a knowledgeable human in under a minute.Said human found the product I needed and told me its price and location within the store.Parking was easy.Perfect experience.

Great neighborhood hardware store with most everything you need for your home projects. Good prices on maintenance items for your yard or pool from fertilizer to pool chlorine. So easy to get in and out off without all the hassles of going to the bigger big-box hardware stores like Lowes or Home Depot. Everyone is always very helpful and attentive.

Theyre all helpful and very polite. I had to repair a sign that have been badly beaten by the rain and it required some wood to be cut and the proper screws. But I was directed to the right department, got what I needed, and I was out of there in less than 10 minutes.

This is a very nice small hardware store. They obviously dont have everything Lowes or Home Depot but they have the necessities. There employees are always very helpful and around when you need them. They also have cats who live in the store that are extremely chill and adorable.

Recently changed from the Do It Center to DIY Center. This is my go-to hardware store!! Just the best! Very, very, extremely occasionally they dont have something Im looking for, so Im forced to head to the bigger guys.Service is great when I have a question about paint, or I need lumber cut to specific lengths. Someones always asking if you need help finding something, very small-town, help-you-out mentality.

How many stores like a Loews or Home Depot have two resident cats to protect the premises 24/7? Well this Burbank store does! Dont worry if you arent a cat lover as Daisy and Cinnamon have learned to generally keep a low profile during working hours. The staff of humans are always very friendly and helpful too, unlike so many of the large chain outlets who let you fend for yourself. And for you seniors and members of the military, dont forget to ask the cashier for your 5% discount!

Ive been looking for succulents to plant in a garden. They have a really diverse selection of plants at fair prices. The service has been really friendly every time as well.

Well if they tell you they repair Window Screens. Dont do it. They dont. Worst customer service experience Ive yet to receive here in California. Two weeks having dropped off and prepaid to have my screen replaced and their only real resolution to the problem was Well you can come pick it up and take it somewhere else WOW!! The worst part if this was it had already been there the 7 to 10 business days and it was going over. And the Guy that repairs them was there working and out on the Floor. My thoughts on this are once youve blown the customer off for TWO weeks and now theyve discovered this. You should at least try to provide the service ASAP and have the repair started right away. Its a 15 minute job when you have the supplies and tools. The response should never be. Well you can come pick it up. This business is not hungry! There are obviously too many customers and too much money being made that they do not need more paying customers. I should have rated it lower. But they are not always this bad. But it was once of those situations were the more they more they made stupid excuses the madder I got. I guess really its my fault. Wheb they said 7 to 10 business days for a 15 minute job i should have gone elsewhere. I still kept my money Local, but Im sitting accross from Woodys screen center right now doing my laundry. And itll be done by 4pm today since the employee wont be back from a job till later today. Paid a few dollars more. But more than worth it.

This place offers a fair selection of hardware, kitchenware, cleaning supplies, seasonal, and flora. While that covers a lot of categories and most run of the mill needs, selections are limited.Prices slightly above average, and often lean towards expensive.The service is totally hit or miss. If you catch one of the fantastic, knowledgeable ladies then youre golden but most of the younger and male employees either avoid you or are rude.I still go here constantly because its convenient and much more manageable than the big boxes. Id say I only have a negative experience 2/5ths the time! My suggestion: call ahead to make sure they have what you need and get price checks!
