Great lunch spot! This is a great place for a quick dine-in bite. So many healthy options for salads and sandwiches. I got the Italian sandwich and an oat milk latte which was fantastic. The vibe is great to hang out and do work, or catch up with a friend. Its not too quiet or too loud - just right!

I went here with my my niece and my dad. Any place I go with him deserves five stars whether or not its enjoyable, whether or not its clean, whether or not its good. Although I can tell you this stay away from the raw chocolate smoothie. Its very gritty. But I can tell you this I love the atmosphere of the place I will be going back and trying other items on the menu.

Came for the name, stayed for the pumpkin lattes. Thats right, pumpkin LATTES in the plural form. I realize pumpkin drinks are divisive, but the fall drink fans like me, this place will warm your little autumnal heart. They had an entire list of fall drink specials, from pumpkin marshmallow to maple. I tried the pumpkin pie latte and it was absolutely fantastic - rich, creamy, comforting, and not overly sweet. Ill definitely be back to try more!Be forewarned they did have wifi rules which I found a little odd, so dont come here and use a laptop in the morning between 11am-2pm because apparently its not allowed? Kind of a weird and unwelcoming vibe with signs posted everywhere about whos allowed to use the wifi, when a laptop can or cannot be used, and how long youre allowed to sit at a table. However, the menu makes up for it. Ill definitely be back to try more because my latte was phenomenal! Ill probably stick to takeout though because it doesnt seem like they want people hanging around.

I ordered avocado toast. The avocado spread had no flavor. A bit of salt, garlic and perhaps a touch of lime would have livened it up. Plus red pepper flakes were not advertised. Gross. The bread is WAY too thick to be a good, crisp toast.

Okay the staff was nice this is not their fault but my matcha latte barely tasted like matcha was so weak. And the avocado toast is literally just avocado and a couple chile flakes, no flavor. These two items came to $23 what a racket.

Their signs: no WiFi no laptops no exceptions. Hilarious. They’re a coffee shop, who the heck are they kidding? And they wonder why they can’t compete with Starbucks. I got there of course not knowing about this policy and of course they told me it’s because they’re super busy and they can’t have people sitting. I was the only one in the whole place. There were probably 30 or more open seats. Good luck!

I Had not been to Romancing the Bean since prior to the Pandemic but it was just as great as I remembered it and have been twice in two weeks with my wife and baby daughter. The restaurant was not jam paxked with people and the people that were in there keot their distance and were respectful of space and masks etc.Going later in the day there was a smaller selection of pastries but still plenty to choose from. The croissant, almond croissant, sweet pull apart croissant, strawberry pop tart, and the orange cranberry muffin were all great choices in our two trips. The organic Cold Brew coffee and the Coffee Ice Cubes are the main reason we first came back to this place. We love the coffee ice cubes because your coffee never gets watered down! This past time we also got turkey sandwiches on ciabata bread with a cilantro Mayo and they were excellent. I added onion tomatoes and avocado to mine and it made it even better. Extra layers of flavor and crunch. Will definitely be getting this again very soon. And maybe purchasing a shirt or two.

There are 3 of us in my office at work that love to eat here all the time, at least once a week. The food is great and they offer choices for those with allergies. Such as gluten free and dairy free. You can order online from their website and go pick it up usually within 15 minutes. The only negative I have is that there is very limited parking in that neighborhood and they do not deliver. So, when I have to run to grab our food from Romancing the Bean and run back to the office, it does take longer than other food places I pick up from. They have a reward system that you can redeem at Romancing the Bean or at their sister restaurant, The New Deal. So, thats a nice perk. Their coffee is pretty good with a rich flavor and not burnt. They also have a gluten free muffin that is to die for. There is seating outside in a small corralled area. The seating inside has individual tables and community seating with what looks like limited table service. Its usually crowded but thats a good sign.

Besides the good quality of food, great customer service is definitely the reason we want to go back again. The Food:All their coffee are organic. Fresh ingredient and lots of healthy food choices. Love their open kitchen, everything is made to order. My favorite is Our Famous Chicken Curry!! Super flavorful~ you can taste the curry but not overpowering. The chicken is very tender. Love it when they use walnut raisin bread for the sandwich. Highly recommended!I have tried their Italian Chopped Salad and Kale Salad, light dressing, great texture and all fresh ingredients. They also open for breakfast, will definitely go back & try their breakfast menu. The Parking: Street parking on Magnolia (1 hour), on the side streets (2 hours) and parking lot across street (behind the church).... all FREE!

I really enjoy Romancing The Bean. The drinks and baked goods Ive had have always been wonderful. The food has been good and the ambience is great. I love meeting people here or grabbing a coffee while getting my toddler a treat. I love how they have a childrens table. Thats very nice and welcoming. They are somewhat pricey for what they are. I once paid over $10 for a sandwich that was literally eggs, cheese and a piece of lettuce. I thought it had prosciutto, but missed the additional line that said it was an extra $3. So that was a bummer and I dont get food-food here to often. Even the baked goods are each at least a dollar more than they should be... but theyre still good. The only other issue I run into here when meeting people is that its so popular that its often hard to find a place to sit... but thats not their fault! On the whole I really enjoy this place!

The place had a Cool vibe and ambience but the service was very poor. Perhaps, one must be part of the regular crowd, because I was sitting at a table for 15 minutes before I got to place an order, and even then it wasnt done very smoothly. Although I will say the sandwich wasnt that bad.I returned to this small yet very cozy and very plush coffee shop and was surprised to discover that my first impression was slightly off the mark. And I try to be the first to admit when Im wrong. On my second visit I was surprised to learn that the staff both male and female are very friendly and quite likeable. After observing them in action for a bit, I realized they were not being rude or just ignoring me on my first visit, they were simply very busy. Finally, it was also something else that I noticed, they give all their customers privacy and respect, and that often time is greatly appreciated.

I am extremely limited to what Im allowed to eat because Im allergic to so many things. Im unable to go out to eat or drink anywhere without verifying what is available first. I found Romancing the beans because I was looking for a place that had good Organic Decaf coffee. I could only do Organic and I could only do Decaf. Last week they gave me Caffeine in error. I was very understanding because I know mistakes happen (even though I have a very bad reaction to the caffeine). I went back in and spoke to the Cashier at the time. I explained to her that Im not trying to be picky, but for medical reasons, its very critical that they only give me decaf. She apologized, but didnt share the information with anybody nor did she seem to care. Keep in mind, they already know my face because I go there all the time. Since I cant go anywhere else, I decided to keep going. Today, I went and ordered my usual. I was very specific as I always am about it having to be decaf. Since my last incident, I had decided to confirm with the person passing me the coffee if it was Decaf. Today, when I went to grab my coffee, the guy had quickly taken off to the kitchen. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to confirm. Turns out, they gave me caffeine, AGAIN. This is a small request to confirm what I am ordering. At this point, I have decided to never go back. Its too bad, because I like the coffee, but service is everything. They need to make sure they pay attention to detail.

Today was my first time visiting Romancing the Bean. I just moved to town and this was not a pleasant experience. When I first walked in, I asked the man at the register what his thoughts were on one of the juices that I was considering. He just answered with Well, I like it?. Then later pointed me to the watermelon and basil juice. As I was waiting for my juice, I was looking at the kitchen area and saw rotten tomatoes sitting out and tubs of hummus and other things that appeared not fresh. I was immediately concerned for my juice that I ordered (the watermelon and basil). When I got it, it was not only warm, but had zero taste! It was $8 and I could have pressed a warm watermelon into a glass and added a basil leaf. As soon as I left, I threw it away knowing I wasted not only my time, but my money. I will never ever go back. Very upsetting.

Oh dear. I have to say— I used to love this place and I found myself coming back for nostalgic reasons and their almost croissant, which is most likely one of the best in The Valley. However, my last visits were just very upsetting, with yesterday’s experiencing ruining it for me: I had a worm in my salad. It was the brussels sprouts & kale with toasted almonds, and I already realized they didn’t wash the brussels sprouts when I bit on sand. Now that made me look a little closer and pay attention to what I had on my plate —just to, very much to my disbelief, find a small worm in my salad— still very alive and moving. I was disgusted and will just look for a different place to buy my almond croissants. Very saddening experience!

This place loves to charge more for their coffee and food. The price written on the board is much less than what they really charge. I was overcharged for adding ham to my small overprice burrito and when I brought it up to their attention. They said that it is not the price that they advertise but a more expensive price. The reason why they dont change it on the wall is because it is too high up to change it and nobody is willing to do it. The food is ok but the attitude of the employees and the prices stink big time.
