Very nice home goods and furniture store in the Burbank Empire Center. Everything is high quality and decently priced for how nice it is. It’s like an IKEA but with well made tasteful items.

On 12/21/20, I went for a random shopping at this place. After I decided what to buy, I paid additionally $282.92 for shipping, and “processing.” I was promised that split delivery could be done. Meanwhile, I purchased online 2 more chairs, and paid another $149 for shipping, and processing. I received most of the items delivered at the same time, and assembly was done at my home; however, I recently came from work only to find a heavy piece of a “skinny console” delivered at my front door. I contacted west elm via email, and was notified that they would NOT send anyone to assemble a console for me. I am trying to figure out now how to send the heavy box back to West Elm. Do not trust West Elm’s business practices. They will find the way to misinform you, charge you extra, and then apologize for “misunderstanding.” Go to IKEA. If you have to assemble your own furniture, you pay at least much less.

Second time coming in here and no one greeted me and my partner or even spoke to us at any time in the store. Selection is ok. Pasadena location is so much better in customer service and selection.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE/COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN: Ordered a coffee table from the Burbank store and the delivery date was pushed back two months. When I called into the store, I spoke with the manager and he refused to help me find a solution to this issue - either address the delivery issue or help me find this piece at another store. I called over to the Pasadena location and they were very accommodating and tried to help me cancel my previous order but were told by customer service they could not help me. There seems to be a major communication breakdown within the company (which surprises me because I have ordered pieces from Pottery Barn - which is in the same umbrella - and have not had this issue).

Unusual seeing this place in a mall. Staff were very helpful and they respected of social distancing.
