Helpful and knowledgeable staff the way a lawn and garden center should be. They have some very nice and large pots!!! They have pretty much everything you need to have a beautiful lawn. No complaints here.

Their selection is pretty small after early spring, their knowledge of plants they sell is limited and the perennials we purchased last year didnt do anywhere near as well as ones we got elsewhere. We decided to give them another look because we try to shop at smaller nurseries. This one is completely out of the rotation for us from now on. Their are quite a few other places to go with way better selections and friendly knowledgeable people who like to bring in revenue.I will say they have a decent tree selection many of them are actually underpriced. Be aware when we went to go look at them, one of their staff stood and watched us like we were hardened tree thieves. During our visit, my husband and I interacted with, not only the disinterested self professed owner in an attempt to buy something, but also the equally disinterested, quite rude woman who checks people out. She is quite a Peach. Was surprised at the positive Google reviews and for some reason couldnt post a review up until now. I did however read the Yelp reviews and it appears other folks have met this same lady at the register!

Plant wonderland and best prices of any around. Nice young lady assisted me in getting down a hanging basket and told me where to find what I was looking for. Awesome employee! Plants are very healthy and they had a great selection of plants and statuary. Hard to find affordable statuary anymore but they have it. Lots to look at and easy to navigate. Everything clearly labeled. Will be going back again and recommending it to all my plant loving friends. Great experience! Thank you and the young lady deserves a raise💙

Nice people. Helped me when I had a questions, one of which was.. Which type of green beans do not have strings? Lol. I got the beans I wanted, some other seeds and some small vegetable plants including a very healthy basil plant and some marked down brussel sprouts. I also picked up 2 bags of sand and 2 bags of manure in prep for my spring garden. One of the workers offered to help me with the bags of manure and sand, which was thoughtful. The prices were comparable and I got to support local businesses as opposed to the big box stores. Always a plus!

Nice nursery, a little small.

The staff there are really helpful and their prices are lower than their competitors for just about everything. I used get my chicken feed at Tractor Supply Hardware but NGC is about 10% lower in price.One nice thing we appreciate is during the height of the coronavirus pandemic, they did not require or even ask patrons to wear a mask. In fact none of their staff wore masks or took any precautions against the pandemic at all. It was a nice escape from the rest of the world where we are constantly reminded of this disease. While shopping there I totally forgot that the pandemic existed and was pleasantly reminded of the good times prior to March 2020. If you are tired of having to walk past signs asking you to wear a mask before entering the store or talking to employees where you cannot see their face behind a mask, then this is the place for you.

Everyone here is so friendly and knowledgeable. Love that the guy that sells the trees and bushes is aware of holistic and medicinal plants.

No one who works here - including the indoor staff - wears a mask. The prices are not high but theres a reason for this. Some of the plants were dying (especially the azaleas) and there was only one or two kinds of each plant. No one was available to help us. This place has really gone downhill since we started going there 12 years ago. Very disappointing. Even though this garden center is much closer to us than any other, we will not be going back.

The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. I wanted an ornamental tree that didnt get much bigger than 25 to 30 feet and could take full sun. They recommended an Empress of China dogwood and I brought it home!

Awesome! One of the best around. Fantastic selection, great prices, and if you questions everyone is very knowledgeable. You can tell the quality as soon as you drive up. They also have whatever you need to manage your landscaping like fertilizers, mulch, etc. I highly recommend Northside.

Great feed store. i would even venture to say best one in Gwinnett. great selection of Feed, hay, and supplements. also the garden center is beautiful. prices on certain items are slightly inflated but not unreasonable. staff is great and good at what they do.

Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, they even helped me load my car up since I was still in office attire. With their help I had everything I needed and was out in time to sill have a break. Northside Gardens is the best place in Sugar Hill GA. I have been going there for years and they have always done me right. They are very knowledgeable, personable and truly want you to get what you really want. They do not try and over sell you like some places and that is why I keep going back to them. I go to Northside Garden whenever I need any landscaping plants or trees. They always have a large selection of just about any plants and garden supplies you might need, and their prices are absolutely competitive with both Lowes and Home Depot. Their plants also seem fresher and healthier than the big box stores. It is a family run business, and you will notice that your business is also more personal and much more appreciated.

Its kind of late in the year to be looking for a fig tree but thats what I needed and they had 4 varieties available including the two exact ones I was looking for. All the trees were in very nice condition and most even had fruit on them. Everything here is so much better than what walmart or the big box stores have. Dont waste time or money in those places just head straight to Northside.

Visited this place for the first time. I must admit i was very impressed. This localmom-and-pop shop was very well organized and efficient. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of their products. I was also surprised at the variety of everything that they carried from loose bulk seeds from the garden to livestock feed, or several greenhouses to decorative materials. Also the prices I noticed seemed to be better than most of your large scale chain garden stores. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to buy local for great prices.

Went in last week to establish a commercial account and buy stuff for a customer. Was told by the owner they do not open new accounts. But could pay by credit card. Was offered a contractor discount.Very helpful and polite owner and cashier staff.The field staff was knowledgeable about the shrubs and trees. Overall experience was good and I revisited the place with another customer the same week.Plan to use them for local jobs in Suwanee, Buford and Sugar Hill.

My second time in, even better than the first. Great selection of materials at a lesser price than the big box. Knowledgable and overly accommodating staff. Plan on making this my regular supplier.

Love this place.. my wife and I built a lower deck on the north side of our home, and wanted some foliage to complete our hard work. Gardening and plant selection was a hard task with low knowledge of what would look good and or even grow in that tough location. We were lucky because a young man with extensive knowledge could see the ? Over our heads, and the disagreement my wife and I were having. His name is Masen. He gave us the best advice, took us to different greenhouses to get the plants we needed. He recommend the proper fertilizer and nutrents we needed. The results were spectacular. We have returned again and again for trees, flowers, and shrubs. My wife and I have changed what we did last year, under his recommendations. It seems that we now made excuses to go to this nursery. I can not give a higher recommendation .

Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable about the plants, theyre also willing to just hang out and chat and get to know the community.

I havent been going here long even though Ive lived in Sugar Hill for about 8 years. I should have started out here a LONG time ago! I would go here over Pike anyday! They are wonderful and so far have always been helpful.

Went there looking for a few plants for the yard and were a bit overwhelmed by the selection. We showed a young guy that worked there a picture of the area we were trying to fill and he offered a few suggestions and told us how to care for the plants.Very informative and pleasant experience.

I grew up in Toccoa, Georgia. My dad owned Big A Feed. He was not really a good businessman, I admit. But he knew all about what he sold. This place reminds me of his store. They are always helpful and knowledgeable. It even smells like his store. I love this place!

I went to this place to consider buying sod for my yard as I know nothing about lawn work. I ask this lady when can I buy sod and her answer is when it gets hot. Thinking shes joking, I ask again, and she gives me the same answer. So now I see shes being condescending, so angrily, I asked again because if I wouldve got that answer again, it was going to be a problem. They, not her, answered the question properly.The moral of the story is, everyone that comes to your door arent lawn experts. Also, smart ass responses will help you lose customers then gaining them.Ill skip this place for now.

My husband and I purchased numerous plants and trees from this nursery about a month ago. We needed help with our yard to say the least and had no clue what to do. In the past, we had tried to do it ourselves and it had became a disaster! Not only did we receive excellent service from the employees at this business, we also received one on one help in deciding on plants/shrubs/trees for our landscaping. They even drew out ideas for our flower beds and helped us plan out and design our yard. Needless to say our yard has turned out beautiful and the plants are doing great! We are very happy with our purchases and with our service that we received here. We highly recommend anyone to this nursery!----we definitely will be going back!

Bought a couple trees, 2 dogwoods and 2 maples. Dogswoods are doing great but the maples we were sold were dead. Didnt think it would be an issue. My wife went to ask if we could exchange the two dead trees we were sold with two live ones. Whoever was at the front told her that no refunds or exchanges were possible. Wont be buying from here again as they sell dead trees w/o a possibility of a refund
