The guys working the back counter were awesome! I had a bunch of questions about a new (to me) reel mower and edgers they had on display. They were very patient and upfront with me. I’ll be taking my reel mower here for service and sharpening soon.

Got three keys cut here. All of them didnt work. Went back and had them recut, they did not work. Leaving 3 stars because service itself was actually good, but the keys didnt work. Went to minutekey at Lowes and all three keys worked. I guess the machine at Ace needs to be recalibrated or something.

Terrible customer service by one of the employees operating the back counter. Young guy had an attitude and should not be in customer service. All I said was hello and he cut me off right then and there! I didn’t even get to utter a second word. It was really embarrassing to be honest.Will NEVER comeback to this place, I will go out of my way to a different Ace if it has to be Ace. I came there to spend $600 on a Stihl weed eater. That gentleman screwed that up. I gave it to Northern Tool instead.

Everytime i go in, i am welcomed by everyone and am asked if i need help with looking for anything in particular. Very great customer service and they always have the tools that i need. They are also great for your mower rentals. Highly reccomend!

Awesome customer service. I had gone to several auto parts stores and other big box hardware stores trying to obtain a hard-to-find vehicle specific piece of hardware without success before I went to Ace Hardware in Buford. I wish I had gone to Ace Hardware in Buford first, because they were able to provide the exact items I was looking for and to provide recommendations for installation as well. Keith and Dennis were both extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and I will definitely use this store again based on their knowledgeable and friendly staff and solid inventory of unique parts and hardware. Highly recommend!

Joe was awesome in helping me get what I needed and even gave me some tips on how to easily replace the gasket on our 2xl big green egg. Definitely recommend this place! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Thank you again joe and everyone at S&S!!!

Great service, found everything I needed

I have used Ace hardware to cut many keys in the past. This time they had someone different cutting keys. I expressed my concern that I needed someone experienced to cut my expensive Toyota key. The employee said that he/she is the only one who cuts keys. Then the employee cut my key and the key did not unlock my car. Then that employee called someone else with more experience to help fix it but he said that the key was cut too deeply. Likely due to it shifting while cutting. Now I will have to order another expensive key. I will change this review to a 5 star review if they make this right. All companies make mistakes. Good companies go above and beyond to fix their mistakes. Bad companies apologize and move on.

I’ve been coming to this ace hardware location for years. Actually went to school with one of the manager’s, Case. He not only helped me in purchasing my big green egg, but now that I’ve been bitten by the BBQ bug, he’s been awesome in getting in new products like Meat Church BBQ rubs. Cannot recommend this store enough. Love supporting small businesses that have been staples in the community rather than big orange and blue box stores where you can’t get any kind of personal service like you can at Ace.

This is my favorite Hardware Store, the employees are so helpful, and always make time to help you. Their keys are the only ones that always work, and they have most vacuum cleaner belts in stock. If not, they will order and you will usually have the next day. Always a pleasure to shop here.

They had a flier 2 saw horses brand stanley for 20 dlls. And they didnt honor the price. They tried to charge me 42 dlls for a pair. The flier says 2 check it out tomorrow is the last day. The excuse was each. But they had 3 deals together for 20 dlls each. So I got disappointed and left.

I love ace hardware good place to go for anything you need thats hardware, mowers, bolts, screws, tools etc etc.... An this one located off buford drive in buford is a good location. The staff is always friendly, helpful, courteous, and nice. An they offer exceptional and quick service. So definitely dont wait in line long here. Everytime i been here i never had to wait in line long only but 2 to 3 mins and im out rhe door. Of course the staff are very helpful and make my shopping experience quick and pleasant by telling which aisle products are located on as well as given advise on the right and proper solution to a problem you may have. I give them 5 stars for cleanliness, service and hospitality.

Ace in Buford, GA is the place to go for great customer service. Could not sleep last night worrying about getting the right paint for my kitchen cabinets. Joe took time to explain all the products needed. How rare is that? Thank you Ace. Thank you Joe.

I also have had several less than satisfactory propane refills. Mine are 30# forklift tanks. The fill results and fill amounts are very inconsistent. I typically have to argue with who ever is doing the fill that theyre doing it incorrectly. This most recent fill, the Ace employee was filling it through the outlet port (the connection that connects to the forklift) rather than the fill port/ball valve. Also, he opened the bleeder valve during filling, but liquid propane never came out. You see liquid when the tank is FULL, simple physics folks. I told him when he was done and disconnecting that it wasnt a full fill, and he responded back with I think I know how to fill a propane tank. I responded back to that that if he knew how to properly then the scale would indicate 66.6lbs. 36.6 lbs. tare tank weight for the steel tank + 30 lbs of propane equal 66lbs. not 58.1 lbs. I weighed the tank with an industrial scale before arriving also, it wasnt quite empty yet, but needed a top off for some upcoming work. It weighed in at 43.6lbs. Ace pumped in 14.5 lbs and argued that the tank was full...Would someone there that knows what theyre doing please instruct your people how to do things properly and not rip off the customer?

These people know their stock like the back of their hands. Ive never asked for something and was told I dont know. Cashiers will even take you to whatever you need. Ill go to S&S Ace before Ill go to any other hardware, paint, bird feeder, garden store.

I had a great experience today. The gentlemen in hardware took the time to explain and show me how to fix an item I brought in. I spent around $9 and 15min in Ace today. Ultimately I saved over $80 not having to replace the broken item I brought in today. Thanks Ace!

So literally right down the road is a Home Depot, but if I can get what I need from this Ace Hardware I would much rather go there over Home Depot any day! All of the employees are super helpful and friendly, and will bring you right to what youre looking for on the specific aisle that its on. I have a very old hot water heater in my house, and was struggling to find new connecting hoses for the water pipes that would fit on my hot water heater. Of course Ace Hardware had what I was looking for! Would reccomend over Home Depot 10/10!

When I want help this is the place to go. Everyone knows where stuff is or knows who does know. Saves me so much time and stress.

Prompt and courteous customer service makes good use of your time. Prices are a little higher but you can find hard to find bolts, tools, mower and plumbing parts here making it worth it.

I had a great experience today. I have never had a need to go to a Ace. I was looking on line for a simple lid for my RTIC 30 oz tumbler. Ace was the first place that popped up. I always thought of Ace as a store for men and their lawn equipment and tools. I was a little uncomfortable going in. Thinking ! With all that’s going on in the world being a black female I may not get any help. Suprise!! The gentlemen/female staff in Ace hardware acknowledge me when I walked in and stood near the counter. They were busy but they still acknowledge me and asked what I need help with. All the staff was so friendly and nice. From the front counter to the key counter. They took the time to explain, show me , help me decide what lid may fit my cup which was a Yeti. I spent around $7.99 the lid was on sale. You would have thought I was spending thousands of dollars. It felt good! I will go back and send my fiends and tell everyone about my experience. Thank you guys so much my friendly Ace hardware store!

Had me buy $30 in cable and parts first, telling me that i could use the crimper that they have to put it all together. I paid for everything and then go to use their crimper and they dont have the one that is needed, So now they want me to buy their $60 crimper. And I cannot return the cable because it was already cut and altered. They will never get business for me again.

Love this Ace Hardware store. Marty knows the mower equipment well and has been employed at this store for many years. I like seeing the same resources over the years. Helps build a good relationship via trust in the store and the information the resources share. Case is another good resource there. Both were very helpful. I have purchased and rented tools from this store. They provide excellent service and information with competitive prices to the big box hardware stores. The bonus is that Aces service is above and beyond anything I have experienced at the big box stores. Ace registered my new mower to ensure my product warranty is in place, they will service and help maintain my mower for the life of the mower even after the warranty expires, during the warranty period they will offer a loaner mower while my mower is being serviced, and they will know my mower over time. Very nice, helpful, and knowledgeable resources.

Can they, at the outdoor tool/parts dept., show the DIAGRAM of the equipment we are buying parts for so we do not have to go back to exchange for the right part? Show the diagram! I had to go back to exchange a mower belt.

S&S Ace Hardware is a true hardware store. It comes complete with a full service small engine shop, well-stocked parts counter, lawn and garden section, mower section, top level Stihl dealership, plus tools and paint.The staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. This is a rare, and welcome, treat. The new location is bright, airy, and has much better parking than the old store. This is a must go for anyone that needs anything that Ace carries.

WOW is all I can say. Someone there has put some really noteworthy effort into customer service standards. From the signage in the parking lot to the ample staffing with excellent help this place deserves some recognition. I walked in on Sunday morning with some obscure plumbing part I didnt even know the name for. When I walked in a gentleman was standing in the main walk way and saw i had a zip lock bag with my broken part in it. In about 10 seconds he identified what I need and pointed me to the aisle number and even told me which aisle bay it was in. Then as Im thanking him and walking away he radios another person to meet me on the aisle and make sure I found what I need. So I get my part and as im heading to checkout the same guy that helped me coming in catches me again just to make sure I had some of the extras Id need to do this right like silicone and all. The cashiers at checkout were fast and friendly. Overall I guess that I was really impressed with the whole experience and wont hesitate to return. Great job Ace!!!

A great resource for Makers, Creators & DIYers.As others have said, their service is top-notch. Even if I get the larger materials from a big-box store, this is where I go when I have a design to build and I want very specific (and high quality) hardware to make it all work.

I needed to service my old Snapper mower got a new spark plug. My mower is feisty once again. Chop chop!

This family-owned and operated store will take you back in time. The friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you find or order just about anything you could possibly imagine. You need an odd size nut or Bolt they got it. You need that one little hose barb from China that no one in the world carries accept Ace Hardware guess what they got it my wife used to work there so she made sure I gave him a good review. But all joking aside Ace Hardware has never let me down and has always had or was able to get everything I needed.

My husband and I have been shopping here for over 25 years. I love the fact that its family owned. They always greet us with a smile and ask how we are doing. Joe, the customer service person has always been very helpful, kind and considerate. Ace is, and always has been, our favorite hardware store. I especially like the unusual gardening lights they carry. They always have things that I dont see anywhere else. My husband likes the advice on how to repair things. Great family owned business.
