Very cool store. They have a lot of unusual things as well as all the basics. Their loyalty program is pretty cool. I only wish I lived closer!

This is honestly my favorite place to collect retro games. They definitely went out of their way to provide excellent customer service today. I bought an impeccable copy of Parasite Eve (PS1) for my collection today (at a sick price, too). Unfortunately, when I got home I noticed that the third disc - which is a demo disc for other games - was missing. To most this wouldnt matter at all, but Im a collector and a stickler for buying games in pristine condition with black labels, no greatest hits, complete in box just the way it came. I love the preservation aspect of collecting. Anyway, when I called the store and explained the situation, I fully expected to be bringing the game in to return it, but instead theyre special ordering the demo disc for me at no extra charge. You dont get that with ebay. Seriously, this store is the best!

I shop here a lot normally I would say it is a great place but recently I purchased a brand new Retron 5 got home with it the wireless controller would not work called them up was told I would have to contact hyperkin about I’d basically I got the feeling we got your almost $ 200.00 so we don’t care I buy a lot of stuff here and to be treated that way was kind of said I mean pretty much anywhere else I have bought a game system if I had a problem the store stands behind the warranty if you can’t stand behind the products you sale maybe you need to find better products so I am still over a month later jumping through hoops with hyperkin over a controller issue that they know they have but don’t want to fix so no one will stand behind this $200.00 pile of junk but everybody was sure happy to take my money

This store was excellently laid-out, and I was able to check the inventory availability via the website before I went. Pricing was good and both items I purchased worked without issues.All in all a very nice experience and I would not hesitate to recommend!

They are the best retro game store around. Tom the owner is very friendly and will help you find what you are looking for. His employees are just the same. They are very affordable and carry a very large and wide variety of games and consoles. Now I cant remember if its pokemon or magic that they have you can go in and play. If you are a gamer this is your store. Its a one shop stop.

Easily the best used games store Ive ever been in. Really puts GameStop to shame.Games for SO MANY different consoles. From Atari 2600 to PS5. Good sized collection for all of them as well. Great presentation of inventory and it seemed to be popular.

This is a great spot for anyone into retro game collecting or anyone who just wants to pick up a retro game in general. The prices can be a couple dollars higher than what you can find on eBay and Amazon but nothing beats the experience of being able to see and inspect the games you are going to buy right there in person! Not to mention the fact that they clean and test all of their games. They’ll even honor lower sticker prices if the price has gone up on their website. They’ve got an account system that will grant you 10% off your first purchase upon sign up, which if you are coming to make a big purchase is a great plus. I come in here every couple weeks to add to my GameCube collection and the store owner and staff are very nice. The store has got a nice atmosphere and cool look. Would definitely recommend to anybody who is looking for a good retro game shop, there aren’t too many left!

I came into the store on a recommendation from a friend. My sons and I stayed for over ten minutes and were never acknowledged at all. There was only one customer ahead of us, and when they were done with him, both employees moved on to a customer that came in after us. I would have been fine with the wait if they had just acknowledged us.

So happy this place exists, and they do brisk business on the weekend. They deal in everything going back to Atari, and arent afraid of emulation and fandom. The anti-Games$#@ , I dont feel like an exploitable commodity in this place.

Wont be back. Purchase something online. Get there and its a damaged product. Bought anyway due to the long drive. Got it home and it had a potent odor. Took it back to be told they dont do refunds. They then offered me a one time partial refund. However I dont shop here enough for this to be a solution. It was a $100 purchase. I dont care about the money. I kept the product and I will resell it on eBay with an honest description of its current condition.If you want to shop local, they are an ok choice. But this was unfortunate. I wont be back.

I really like the staff here, theyre always super nice and helpful. Selection can be tight because theyre good stuff goes out so fast, but I think that makes the experience more fun. If you really want something and they dont have it theyll offer to order it for you no problem.

Went to trade in some old games - they offered what seemed to be very fair prices. They also have a solid collection of older systems and games with a friendly and knowledgeable staff.Overall, much better experience than other chain game shops I have been to.The only complaint I would have is that they dont provide itemized lists of what they are paying for each item traded in (was told their system doesnt allow them to provide that - didnt press the issue as to why). That being said, I didnt end up knocking off a star on this review since I liked their final offer for my bundle based on some research I did before hand.

Every time I call or go in, they are great. You could go in and find some gem you didnt know you always wanted or find that thing you’ve been wanting since you were a kid(if you were a kid in the 80’s or 90’s). Every time I go in, I find something I need to buy. If they don’t have it, they will be happy to order it for you. Never had a bad experience. I drive about 40 mins each way to go here and it’s completely worth it. Its great to be able to go to a place and wonder if you are going to see an intellivision or a virtual boy behind the glass. Love this place!

Awesome place with a wide selection spanning all console generations. From factory sealed, to complete in box, replacement controllers and collectors editions this place has a lot of stuff thatll catch your eye. Where as lot of vintage game stores these days have small collections or are bloated with funko pops and old comics, this place is 98% video game related. If youre in the area or even a ways away come by and check this place out, its well worth your time.

Bought a new product that was defective and went to make an exchange and was told by owner and assistant that I was responsible for contacting the company. I’ve owned 2 businesses and this is not how it works. This is poor customer care/service. I’ve been going here for years but no more. I’m taking my business elsewhere.

Awesome to look for games, mostly retro, they sell based on market prices so dont expect it to be cheaper online but I respect that I can look at physical game compare to online. So good job for the store 👏

First store I found in the local area that had what I was looking for. The day before I spent six hours driving and looking at 7 different stores. Decided to try this one on next day (ended up closest one too) - wish I had started with this one !!! Also a good place if you have a retro game RF output game console (e.g Atari and Coleco) as they have ability to convert from RF to RCA AV outputs. Very satisfied.

Found this Nostalgic Video game store a few weeks ago and love being able to get stuff from my past. Retro games and staff are great!

I drove all the way to Buford from Atlanta just because these are the only people who know their stuff, provide good service, HAVE the stuff you want (and then some), all the while having a staff of genuine cool guys. 10/10, if I ever need replacement gear I know where to go.

The xbox 360 came with wrong cable, lucky for me I got hdmi cable.The Xbox works only for 35-40 min then it freeze. In rest the guys are nice. Got my second game Need for speed, went back next day to return it, turns out no cash refunds. Now Im stuck with the wrong game and bad xbox. Go to GameStop instead.

Where do i start? I bought a PS3 slim from them and not even 3 weeks later has a broken HDMI Port so you know thats cool. I really enjoyed wasting my money. Not to mention i have a medical condition where i have to use the bathroom quite often and he refused to let me use the restroom with the excusemy wife wont let anyone use it even though i explained to him i drove over an hour to get there and what my condition was,so this store doesnt even care if you have a disability even though i just spent a 120 dollars in their store. Once AGAIN pretty cool. My first and my last time going here ever. Im sure a lot of people give this store good reviews for the cool old stuff they have but in all reality my first impression was the owners dont care. Never again.

Great selection of all types of games. From NES all the way to current gwn systems. I was personally hunting for gamecube games and was greeted with a good selection. Prices are reasonable but hard to find items will be priced appropriately. Really excited to replace my copy of Zelda: four swords! Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Clean, not very shopper friendly video game store (mainly retro gaming). Luckily its a small location so it doesnt take long to walk through the location. But, with that said, it took me 5 walk arounds to find console games I was interested in purchasing due to the those console games being located in several different places. The initial employee only took me to one location, and when asked if they had games behind the counter, he replied that he would ask his manager. Unfortunately, he never did this. Plus there were games there a several other places. Customer service, not here! One person was playing games. The other 2 were not really doing anything unless asked a question. All were behind the Safty Zone ...the cash register counter. On the positive side, prices were very fair, they have a large inventory of retro games for several older consoles and everything was priced and in good to excellent condition. I found and purchased several items during my visit. I will give it a month or two and will most likely check them out again.

This store is essentially a one stop shop for video games. They have retro consoles and retro games as well as new consoles and games. Their prices are fantastic and they have an amazing layaway program. They are definitely priced to compete and they dont just price match, they undercut. I wont be going anywhere else for my games in the future. They also have a scattering of accessories, exclusives, guide books, and figures (if you need Skylanders or Disney figures, you cannot beat $2/each). I was extremely impressed by the knowledge of the employees, and I bought a Sega Genesis along with three extremely rare games (1000 copies ever made). They even have Atari 2600 consoles and games. I was blown away. 10/10 will come back and empty my wallet again.

Ive actually never stepped foot in this store, but Ive used their website for a few different gen 1 Xbox games. Their selection is the best Ive seen, and their prices are better than Amazons for a comparable product. They ship quickly and allow you to track your package the whole way. Even though these games are 15-20 years old, they arrive in a well maintained box, the discs are spotless and, so far, run very well. The best shop Ive found in the Atlanta metro for old school video games.

Found this place for the gamers in the family.. Looks are deceiving seems like a small store but once inside it was very spread out, spacious and nicely stocked with video games board games and much more.. We drove about 30 mins out to see what they had to offer was not disappointed.. We will be returning..

TONS of cheap games to buy. They offer the cheapest prices Ive seen and if you join their rewards program they give you TONS of great rewards. They have all the games that you can never find anywhere else and the people working there were some of the nicest most helpful people Ive ever met. The place is incredibly organized and I plan on going here all the time.

My new favorite video game store. Video Game Trader offers a fine selection of modern games and systems, but thats not what sets them apart. They carry a wide array of vintage video games and systems, nostalgic novelties, and so on. They even sell drinks in case you become parched while browsing. In my humble opinion, this is definitely the place to shop.

I have been coming here since they opened almost 10 years ago. From Skylanders to their most recent save with an old school NES, this place delivers. I got burned another unit from another retailer and they saved Christmas with being able to find another unit. If they dont have, they will track it down. Keep up the great work! Only found this place a week or so go. Decided to make the drive down out of the hills to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised! They had a great selection of retro titles and systems. Just what I was looking for. I think this is the first time I ever walked out of a store with more than 1 or 2 titles for the Nintendo 64. Most times, its a lot of sports games, but this place had some good pickings. The two staff working the place that day were very friendly and helpful. Will most definitely be back in the future!
