Stopped in to find out if they had a bialy. They didnt I am not what one is other than it might be bagel like not sure about that either.I ordered a v-wich a plant based sandwich with egg or tofu sausage with spinach and tomato pepper jack or vegan pepper jack cheese on a bagel or gluten free bread. My sandwich was egg on gluten free bread tomato and arugula and cheese and a little franks red hot sauce for some kick. I ate it right up and I wasnt even hungry. Staff was polite and professional.

Quaint coffee shop on Elmwood and Bryant. Reminded me of another Cafe that started in similar fashion twenty years ago. They offered me a lot of vegetarian options for my breakfast sandwich. (GF too)Cold brew coffee was good. Bagel and egg were good. Service was helpful. I will visit again when Im in the area looking for cold brew coffee.

Super nice staff, cute place, I got a delicious special Valentines mocha today called the broken heart Mocha with cayenne and chocolate in the latte! Yum! I am not gonna lie I am a sucker for the cute little broken heart drawing on my cup today too. Little personalized touches make a difference. Their window also says they offer discounts to educators, which I love! Ill be back soon!

I understand its a coffee shop but their is a pungent aroma that permeates the air when certain beans are brewed. It has nauseating effect on ones ability to relax or do work. I have never experienced this at Spot coffee, Cafe Aroma or Panera. Also the noise chairs being adjusted by customers has a grading impact on my ear drums. Why not have just booths? The music goes from 80s to heavy metal. Keep it more consistent and you probably get more customers.

My spouse and I traveled to Buffalo and decided to try a few local spots in the neighborhood we were staying in. I’d had my eye on this coffee shop so we decided to take a walk and grab breakfast. Baristas we’re very friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was beautiful; all 90s nostalgia took me right back to my childhood.

Good coffee, decent atmosphere. some good meal and snack options.but? you can tell the employees are ridiculously overworked. why is the same people every time I go in? do they not get days off? they look absolutely exhausted. “small business” =/= screw over employees loldo better there and you’ll be in Buffalo for a long time, which I wouldn’t mind! it’s a great place aside from that. but overwork your employees? I don’t see things lasting long, honestly.

They place scary/classic movies instead of football = instant five stars. Great place to chill out and study.

Had the Joe Dirt and it was so good, strong with good flavor. Bought some beans and they ground them for me, and really enjoyed chilling by the TV for a while. Definitely recommend this place, food looked tasty too, maybe next time.

For me, locally owned so thats a big plus. Great people, great coffee. The Nomad blend alone inspired me to leave a review. If you drink black coffee, this is amazing IMO. Rich, smooth, earthy. The smell alone is amazing.

Coffee came out quickly, but took 25 minutes to get a toasted bagel and cream cheese...which would have been ok if every time I asked I wasnt told it would be right out tell me it will be a half hour for a bagel when I am ordering and I would just have gotten my coffee. Cool name of the place, and the coffee was out fast and good. Very cool interior decoration. Just need to get a better flow for their food orders. They have the coffee part down.

This is seriously the best place to get coffee in Buffalo. The staff are extremely friendly, the food is amazing AND everything is reasonably priced and amazing quality. Its also a super relaxed vibe where anyone can walk in and feel totally comfortable and at home.

Speedy service and great coffee. Interesting vibe with lots of little interior touches. Note that with the later opening time, there may be a line outside when they open.

Inconsistent so far on my 2 visits. Yesterday large latte was small. Since it was my first visit i figured that was the large. Until today. Same order different size. Looks more like a large. Friend ordered small regular coffee and got some sorta foamy thing. Today a small regular coffee is much larger. Paid cash. Cashier had trouble making change but fixed issue immediately. As a couple of 50 somethings, we both felt like we werent exactly welcomed by the hipster demographic. Maybe 3rd time will be the charm?

They roast their own coffee beans. I got to have real coffee. Starbucks, Tims or instant coffee will not suffice

Its so good here! service is always friendly and the food is amazing. There are some rlly good vegetarian options (my fav is the vegan bfast sandwich with sausage and tofu)

Really good standard cup of coffee, which says a lot on its own. Great classic, retro, vintage pop culture aesthetic in the lounge area. Interesting menu with plenty of variety, but not overwhelming so. Surprisingly the pizza was excellent, even though its a coffee place and not a pizzeria, although I wish it was a bit bigger? But again, not a pizza place so, cant really complain. Was really caught off guard seeing there was BBQ brisket options for food, pizza, brisket, and coffee all in one place? That sounds up my alley. Will definitely be visiting again. The pastries smelled delicious. 10/10 customer service + food/drink.

Cool vibe here, though the beverages arent my style. Have gotten a few different drinks here and theyre too sweet (like syrup). Will support them though.

I just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a new coffee joint. I was excited to see the doors open a few weeks ago. I brought home a bag of beans and a coffee for me and the misses. Really great stuff. We’re pretty chill coffee snobs, and we cannot wait to try the rest of the beans/roasts. Spoke to the owner for a brief second, and it seems like he has big dreams for this cafe. Great atmosphere and clearly excellent beans. The latte was exceptional. Would be nice if there were pour over or french press options for the regular coffee however. Those automatic drip machines didnt quite do the beans justice, it was a bit watery.

Went in for the first time today. The staff was amazing and just overall really cool. They have a pretty extensive menu with lots of different items and they’re pretty reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and great late night hours too! Will be coming back

Wasnt a fan. Solid spot but tough to find parking, long wait, and coffee was inexpensive and poorly made. Paid $6 for a latte that was cold because it was basically a full cup of milk. Wouldve rather went through a starbucks drive thru. Also, staff wasnt friendly in the slightest.

Their coffee is delicious! I appreciate their surplus of dairy free alternatives for creamer as well. The staff was above and beyond nice and friendly, I will certainly be going again.

Coffee is fantastic! Lots of flavors to choose from. Owner and staff are super friendly, but what really earns all 5 stars are the little things, like only offering NATURAL sweeteners if you want to add it to your cup.The little things that shows BB’s the best.

Fantastic tasting coffee. Tried the cold brew that had lots of nice fruit notes. A refreshing change from the boring Starbucks blends. My one critique is that the baked goods, specifically the cookies are a tad overpriced for the size. But then again, this business specializes in good coffee :) Will be back for more!

Had a fantastic coffee at Bean Bastaŕd. I like to say bastaŕd with a hard R to make it sound french. It was a nice place to stop in for a hot cup of joe. The staff was friendly and I will be pleased to return!

This company has taken over the Perks Elmwood location. I don’t think I’ll miss Perks! BB has excellent drip coffee, plenty of milk options, teas, smoothies, etc. and great food! The “wakin’ bacon flatbread” was totally unexpected.

The girl waiting on us was nice! The environment was dirty tables were not clean...And the girl behind the counter took of her shirt and wore her bra as she was making the food???

Those breakfast tacos are to die for. The coffee is amazing but the menu is on a qr code on the door and the pdf it pulls up is TINY and the quality is such that enlarging is unreadable

Coffee wasn’t good. Got the cold brew and it just was not drinkable. Threw it out after a few sips, which sucks because it wasn’t cheap. Also, the food menu isn’t super readable. It’s confusing and doesn’t have many quick and easy options to grab and go.
