Friendly and helpful employees. Bicycle tech has 15 years experience, so I felt comfortable leaving my 24-speed racing cycle with them for repairs. A reasonable quote was provided a couple of days later. For some reason they are closed on Sunday and Monday so that can be less than convenient depending on your schedule.

Bought my bike at their Elmwood location in April and was having a lot of discomfort with the saddle and possibly the set up as well.I had a free fitting (came with purchase of the bike) at their new Niagara location and it was great! Ethan really helped me out by completely readjusting my set up and helping me find a new saddle that would be better for my riding. What a difference! Ethan took his time explaining the adjustments he was making and why. Definitely go check out their new larger location where you can be properly fitted along with a sits bone measuring device to help with buying a new saddle. Thanks guys!

The crew at Campus is amazing. They are all very knowledgable and super helpful. I bought a bunch of components to set up a second wheel set for my gravel bike and Brian helped me get the perfect tires and rotors. I also got a bike fit from Alex and so far the fit feels amazing and I can tell my position on the bike is so much more optimized. I went to the Niagara location for both of these but Elmwood as fantastic too. You wont be disappointed.

I had a new bike fitting at Campus Niagara. It was overall a great experience. I have had issues with numbness and pain in my hands and saddle region for years on all of my past bikes. I finally transitioned from a road bike to a hybrid for more comfort this year, but I was still having issues. I used Campus saddle program a few years ago and got a better saddle, which they installed on my new bike and made sure it was level and at the right spot. I also got a new stem, which made the bike much more comfortable (more upright) for me, as well as new grips and a rack. My bike is much more comfortable now and I am closer to my goal of going bikepacking and riding for a long time off road. Overall, Ive had nothing but good experiences at Campus since I moved back to Buffalo 3 years ago and would highly recommend.

I purchased my new Giant Bike from Campus WheelWorks a few weeks ago and was excited to stop in for the complimentary new bike fitting thats included. Alex was fantastic walking me through everything he would be doing, answering any questions I had and setting me up with the proper cleat fit and bike fit. There wasnt a lot of adjustments that were needed for my new bike, but the adjustments that Alex did make have made a big difference for me. Knee and hip discomfort definitely went down on my first rides out afterwards. Plus, Alex gave my the adjustments he made so I could properly adjust my bike that is on my trainer as well. While trying to find a rental Fat Bike during the bike shortage of 2020-2021, I had to reach beyond my normal patronized businesses. A few members of WNYMBA suggested Campus WheelWorks. After a quick visit to their website, I was able to reserve the rental bike easily online and the actual in-person pick-up and drop off at the shop was just as efficient. Once this shortage is over, I will likely continue business with my local shop, but its nice to know that Campus WheelWorks is there and can help out if I ever need them again.

The front derailleur on my road bike had been totally out of adjustment for years, in spite of my having tune-ups done at other bike shops, in Ohio and here in the Buffalo area. I brought it to Campus Wheelworks to see if they thought they could get it adjusted properly. They were confident that they could, so I left it with them for a tune-up. I just came home from my first ride of the season and am thrilled to report that the front derailleur performed as it did when I first got the bike about ten years ago. This was my first experience with Campus Wheelworks. The staff at the Elmwood store were extremely courteous and helpful. They have earned my loyalty.

I know this is a popular store with a long history and my review will be in the minority, but I just did not have a good experience when I shopped here. Part of my experience included very low inventory, and especially so in terms of what I was looking for. Im a petite female (despite my funny-expressioned avatar) and was shown bikes that seemed more suited toward taller individuals. Though bikes are/can be genderless, these particular bikes were designed for males. As a good sport, I did try them however, just to be sure. One of the bikes was so large for my size that I struggled to get on it and fell off of it twice. I did report this to my salesman. For me, test riding on a city block was a challenge and somewhat humiliating, given my struggles and falling. After my second ride, when I let the salesman know that both bikes werent going to work, he seemed to lose interest in me as a customer and his attitude toward me totally changed. He disappeared and when I found him dazed out sitting behind the register, it was like pulling teeth to get any further information from him re if/when more inventory was coming in, what kind, etc. Im not sure this guy is clear on his mission in Sales and as a Salesperson. Finally, I was asked to provide my drivers license and credit card in order to do a test ride. Campus~ youre trying to prevent merchandise theft, but in turn are asking the customer to shoulder the risk~ a much greater risk. Youre asking me to trust you and your staff with my identity and security in an age where identity theft is a major issue and we do everything possible to protect ourselves from that. To me, asking a customer to hand these over to your shop and sales staff willy nilly blows my mind. My salesman did not offer or explain where my DL & CC would be kept and how it would be protected. I was offered no information or assurance at all. Are other customers comfortable with this kind of cavalier attitude toward their personal identification? Im obviously not and told my salesman that I was uncomfortable with this. It was only then that he said it was a matter of a little trust on both our parts. That comment was supposed to comfort and assure me?? With great reluctance and hesitation, I handed my things over~ and to this day regret not walking out instead. Im guessing you must know your employees super well and feel theyre trustworthy~ they should be~ but you as a business have insurance; customers dont have insurance on their identities. I came to Campus after visiting a competitor and went back to that competitor, who was able to provide the inventory I was looking for and service I expected. The only time I had to hand over my credit card was when I paid for my new wheels. No drivers license was necessary.

Reserving a rental online was easy and seamless. I called before reserving for a question about what size frame to rent; the worker was helpful and assured me if the size was not a good fit we could swap the rental for a different one if available. Would go to again for a rental, would visit them when buying a bike in the future.

LIFE SAVERS!I was on a tour from Pennsylvania to Missouri, with a detour to Niagra Falls. A little over a week into the trip, the bolt attaching my back rack to my bike breaks, but only the bolt head breaks off, so the rest is still inside the bike. I zip-tied it together for a quick fix and called a couple bike shops in Rochester to see if I could stop in, but they said they either couldnt do it or it would take too long and they didnt have the time. A few days later, I get to Buffalo and show up at Campus WheelWorks not long after they open. One guy took my bike right away, said it wouldnt be a problem, that theyre here for this kind of stuff, and in less than an hour, they fixed my bike. I had only done 600 miles at that point and had about 1000 to go, and these guys made it possible for me to finish. Cant thank these guys enough!

I thoroughly enjoyed the campus micro tour to four Mile Creek State Park. The group of six was small enough to be nimble on the road and efficient in the campsite. I met some new folks and enjoyed their company. The food was excellent and well prepared. The evening refreshments were much appreciated. 😋 Mother nature cooperated and we dodged a thunderstorm. If only the wind could’ve been behind us at all times the ride would have been perfect. We enjoyed Niagara Falls the on the way up and briefly on the way back.
