Ive been coming to this shop for over 5 years, and have nothing but great things to say. Pat has begun passing the business down to Chaz, and they are both incredible. This place is a scam. They tried telling me fixing my power steering leak would be a grand. Went to a place that did it EXTREMRLY cheaper and more affordable than what they said. They also tried to sell me tires I didnt need cause I was told be another mechanic they are still good and also tried to tell me my brakes are no good when they clearly are. I dont know what happened since Patrick left but the people working there are thieves.

They were short staffed, but handled the repairs efficiently.Apparently was a parts supply issue.The manager who is normally quite professional and was to the customers, was not verbally professional to his employees and the parts people on the morning of our visit.

My service charges fairly reflect the work that is done. They’ve even taken me home and picked me up on occasions. When you find great auto technician service, you keep them! My mom came for some work on her car, once the work was done she paid left and realized the car was making a noise she brought it back and the owner checked it out test drove it, lifted it up couldn’t figure out and what the noise was. The whole time he was screaming and cursing at my mother. He told her he would have paid her 100$ not to bring the car in (I was on the phone with her ). After a lot of time The problem was figured out and turned out to be a piece of cardboard somewhere in the work that they did.(real profesionals,NOT) if I could give them 0 stars I would. Definitely don’t waste your time here

I stopped at this Midas, moments before getting on the interstate. A warning light had appeared on my dashboard, and I didnt want to make the 8-hour drive ahead without a mechanics reassurance. The Midas mechanic was friendly and came out to my car, ran a quick safety check and reassured me that all was well. He took no money, and sent me on my way. His kindness rode with me all the way to Chicago where I arrived safely.

Ive been talking my car to the Midas on Niagara street since I moved to Buffalo 3 years ago. Pat has Always taken good care of me and my car. Prompt service, putting my safety first, and a good value has kept me coming back. Im going to miss that quality when I leave Buffalo, but I took my car today to let the guys make sure it was safe for a cross country drive. Im glad I did!

Our car broke down across the street and Pat came out and put cones around us to divert traffic (he offered to help push us into his parking lot but AAA tow truck was already coming). He also let me use the bathroom thank goodness because i am 7+ months pregnant! So all I can say is, thanks for being a really decent guy!!

All I can say is Crooks!. Not trustworthy. Read on to decide yourself.1. On the phone, I clearly told him the make and model of the car and then he told me it would cost $49.99 for synthetic oil change. When I dropped the car, he again confirmed the same price. But when I got back after having a quick bite, he handed over a bill for $65. When I asked, he said my car had skip plate underneath and he needed to remove it to change the oil, so there was $10 extra change !!!. Hello!, mine was not a special car, it is just one year old Honda Civic and I clearly told the make and model on the phone before he quoted the price and also he saw the car when I handed over the keys and confirmed the price again when I was at the shop.2. On the bill, he printed different grade of oil. When I questioned, he brushed it away saying their computer printed that for some reason but he filled the synthetic oil of different grade. Yeah, computers have their own mind!... Full of crap...he didnt fill the synthetic oil at all.Complete cheat and ripoff. Never go there.

The guy who runs this place is a scam artist. He buys and sells used cars out of the parking lot and will lie to your face to try and buy your car from you for much less than its worth. I went in for a simple inspection and he said he could not pass it, then proceeded to give me a laundry list of supposed issues. He said he could not believe I was even able to drive the car, yadda yadda... he really tried to play it up. Then, strangely enough, he said he was interested and offered to buy the car for $600. Of course I told him no and went to a different shop who passed my inspection without issue. There were ZERO actual problems with my vehicle. I drove it daily for another entire year before it required any maintenance whatsoever.Nice try you bum. Stay away from this place!

Had the car inspected. They found that the front brakes were bad. They brought the parts out to me to show me. All prices are posted in the waiting room. They are pricey, but I feel they treated me well. It was certainly done as fast as it could be. I was very satisfied. Oh, and the restroom was clean.

Went there to see what was leaking under my car. Guy at the desk told me it was my gas tank, told me that it would be a $600-$800 job to fix it I told him that’s fine that’s cool, then he tells me that it can’t be done that day it would take a week for the part(gas tank) to come in and that he’d call me when the part gets in. A week later pass and I call the shop and Pat( the Owner) answers I tell him how I been waiting for the call for the part and he tells me that there wasn’t a part ordered and that he wouldn’t have me waiting a week for a part without me paying first. Pat asks the same guy, did he tell me that the part would come in a week and the guy flat out lies to save himself, now knowing what he did was wrong. Point is why tell me to wait for a part for an entire week, if you know I need to pay for it first. Why tell me your gonna order it and call me when it gets there, then lie to your boss when he asks did you tell me that. I have been going to this place for YEARS! And I am a straight up guy, I don’t lie. So when people lie, even when it’s to save themselves that’s one of the biggest disrespect someone can do. That was very unprofessional and highly disrespecting, especially telling me to wait a whole week for a job that I thought would get done.

I called this number +1 (716) 250-9485 to ask them for a price on how much it would cost me to repair my car at their store and the person was very rude and said go repair it at your mechanic and the second day i called again he again spoke with a very rude tone and even told me to go fu** my self when i asked for his name.

These guys are awesome. I went in for an oil change & tire rotation without an appointment. They were short staffed and at first said they were done with oil changes for the day, and asked if I could come back the next day. I explained that I was going out of town for the weekend, so they took me anyway! I told them not even to worry about the tire rotation, but they did it anyway! Chaz and Bobby were super helpful, and I really appreciated their generosity.

Instead of helping me they questioned why I called a muffler shop for an exhaust system. I did not even bother to respond further.. Good luck with that

Terrible customer service! I made an appointment for an oil change, and new windshield wipers,online, 24hrs in advance, for 8am. I got there @ 8am and was told they only take call in appointments. I was livid, and about to leave. They said they could squeez me in at 9am, an hour past my online appointment. I explained that I had limited time, and this is why I made an 8am appointment. They took apart my car seat, to fix the power seat mechanism, without asking me. I agreed to have them fix it, since it was already taken apart. I waited another 2 hours, while they Fixed my seat, and gave me an oil change. Went in for a $19.99 oil change, and some windshield wipers, and left with a $200 dollar bill. I got in my car, to leave, and my seat motor was super loud grinding, and would not move! I went back in, and told them it didnt work. They took another 2 hours to fix the seat. It is still grinding loudly, but dose move, back and forth. So I was happy about that. I looked at the windshield wipers, and they were not replaced. I went in again, this time very irritated, and asked them if they replaced my windshield wipers. I was told they did not, and was not charged for that service. I asked why, and was told I didnt ask for that specific service. I turned over the bill, and there it was, windshield wiper replacement service requested. I told them, I request the service, because I wanted it done. I was rudely told I only requested the service,and they didnt not charge me for it. I told them to charge me for it, and complete my service request. The guy huffed, and puffed, about it. Stormed off to measured the wipers, and told me they did not have the size wipers I needed, but they could order it. LOL! I told him I would get them myself! I left and bought my windshield wipers at AutoZone and had them installed for free. I will never go back to this place! They offer online appointments and dont honor them, then give you a hard time because you didnt call to make the appointment! Then act like they are doing you a solid by squeezing you in, and fixing things you never asked them to fix, then charging you for a service, and labor, for something you didnt intend on getting fixed in the first place! Im livid at the way I was treated, and heard other customers being treated. 0 stars if I could!

Went there for a water pump brought the part was told $280.00 to put it in sat there for almost 5 hrs!! Hopefully its fixed!!

Called Headquarters repeatedly with No resolution: A multimillion dollar company with no work ethics.We have many small cheap garages nearby, the reason we go to Midas and pay so much extra is to have professional guarantee on the work.Very high cost and misdiagnosed the issue. We took it to Subaru dealers who said engine is Lemon and we should contact Midas for reimbursement since they kept on working on the car and didn’t resolve any of the problems our car was having.1) They replaced the starter for no reason at all the issue still remains identical (rough start due to oily misfire)2) For the engine light they replaced the spark plugs and performed some kind of engine cleaning (look it up on paper) for over $1000 and the shaking came back within 1 week then the misfire light came back within a month.They also performed a few other jobs such as brakes we are not asking that money backBut we want our money back for fixing all the wrong things for very very high cost.To this day this issue has not been resolved. We have all the receipts with us.

My wife and I were in the middle of a long road trip when we pulled off the highway in Buffalo at about 5:10 pm only to hear an awful sound of metal on metal. Did a quick internet search for the closest mechanic and found Midas. They got us right in and confirmed that the front brake pads were entirely gone and had already cut into the rotors. They got the parts needed and installed them within the hour, this after they had already closed for the day.Fast service, the work as far as I can tell at this point was done well, and he made sure that everything was right for us to finish our trip out without much delay.Thanks for everything

Careless techs. DO NOT TAKE YOUR AFTERMARKET WHEELS HERE. They scratched up my brothers gold RPF1s during an alignment. They do not have properly trained staff nor do they posses the right equipment to align your wheels. Do yourself a favor and SKIP this place altogether. Find a small shop as they care about their customer more than chains like MIDAS. Trust the MIDAS scratch...

My tires were slashed at this Midas location during open business hours in broad daylight.This occurred after I was in an accident, had a free estimate done, but decided to get the work completed elsewhere.The owner became very aggressive, intimidating, and kept trying to tell me what to do with my car. Stating that hes been doing this for 30 years, that I dont know what Im doing, Im wasting his time, etc.Most unprofessional business owner Ive ever encountered to say the least.I called a tow truck that had a 2 hour wait. I was told by an employee that I could leave my car in their parking lot, considering it was undrivable. As I left the lot, the owner ran up to my car yelling at me asking if I forgot my car keys, calling me names, etc. I went home to drop a few things off, and when I returned, both of my drivers side tires were knifed and flattened.I was only gone for 45 minutes and there were employees outside all day. If a random person had knifed my tires, they wouldve saw it.When I returned to see my newly flattened tires, the owner avoided me. He was rude to the towing service that came for my car. They stayed with me while we waited for a flatbed because the tow truck driver could recognize that the owner was unstable.Anyone Ive talked to about this location since this occured has said this place scams people and that there have been numerous complaints. Apparently the owner has connections, which is why this business is still allowed to operate and victimize the citizens of Buffalo.

Staff chided police officers performing traffic stop across the street, taking their attention away from the person in question. This Midas location is unsafe for law enforcement.

Midas @ 315 Niagara St in Buffalo has been working on my car since i first bought it brand new in 2007. Patrick has always been extremely reasonable with not only myself but the other people i have referred to him throughout the years. He has even handled a situation from a cruise ship while in the middle of the ocean that i was having. he has picked me up and also has delivered my finished car to me at my work/home> i dont know of a more reliable mechanic in the city of Buffalo.

All I needed was to get a flat tire plugged and I was not in Midas for even 10 minutes before I was driving away as a satisfied customer.

I recently visited this Midas to get my muffler changed because it was making noise. Took my car there left my car there at 7;00 am while i was at work and then got dropped off at 3:30 after work. When i pick my car up my muffler was fixed and also Patrick had changed my light without my permission. Patrick (the owner) says I have to pay for something i did not request for him to fix. Said he was not giving me my car until it was paid. Ended up calling the police they said he had to remove the light he installed without my permission after the police leaves he took two hours to remove the light from my car. The service I received was awful I would not recommend this shop too anyone!

Terrible, terrible, terrible experience. PLEASE READ.I walked into Midas knowing something was wrong with my vehicle. When speaking with Chaz at the front desk, he just listened to me explain the noises and issues going on with my car before taking my keys and walking away. I had to stop him before he got to far to ask if he had an approximate wait time because I had just called before coming and was told they had time to see me. Chaz said they could look at my car but had no idea how long it would be. I took a seat and waited about 20 minutes before Pat, the shop owner came out to see me. He had asked me to describe what was going on with my car. I explained that my car was making a noise similar to what it would sound like if you pressed on the gas pedal while your car is in park and that my car was taking awhile to heat up. By the time my vents would start blowing hot air, it was only a matter of time until the hot air was blowing cold. I was laughed at. I was asked if I had ever started a car in subzero temperatures before. My reply was yes, given that I have been driving for 10 years and lived in WNY all my life. I was then asked if this was my first car. When I responded with no I was just told that a car makes a funny noise when started in subzero temps, BUT that they would look at it if I really wanted them to. Again, knowing something was wrong I insisted that they look at it. Pat went outside, started my car and lifted my hood. He then took it for a ride. When he came back he told me that both my thermostats needed to be replaced and that I needed a water pump. This diagnosis came with an almost $700 repair quote (obviously labor included).After being talked to like a teenage child driving her first car, I told them I wanted to hold off on having it fixed (though they offered to fix it on the spot) and I drove home. I decided to have a family friend look at my car instead. The first thing he told me was that I didnt have ANY antifreeze in my car. Should I have known to check that first? Maybe but I had just been at this Midas the week before for an oil change and thought to myself, they would have topped my fluids if need be. Well they didnt but then had the nerve to quote me almost $700 without trying the simple solution of putting antifreeze in first.With that being said, the issue was more than just the antifreeze being out. I did need 2 new thermostats. So I went to autozone myself and bought them, which cost me all of about $40. My family friend changed those, put in some antifreeze and MAGIC. My car is fixed. No need for a water pump (most expensive repair I was quoted for at Midas), its working just fine.Midas didnt start small. They started with the biggest issue and tried to charge me big.Am I ever so thankful that I got a second opinion and had the work done by someone I trusted.I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SHOP.If youve been here before, they may think they do great work and get you in and out. And when it comes to vehicles, most people will pay to have it fixed right away because that is their primary source of transportation. They seem nice at first, but dont be fooled. Have your car looked at by someone you know or trust. OR at least get a second opinion.

Biggest mistake of my life was taking my car to this shop. After paying $1180 manager refuses to give me any receipts because im a MUSLIM . I have filed a complaint against this location with the department of Motor Vehicles and will be filing a lawsuit against midas.Manager also treats his employees like dirt. Especially the spanish kid Chavez poor kid gets yelled at over the phone and in front of the customers. Entering this shop i feel like im going backwards in time back to the slave days

Horrible service. I called for an alignment and they gave the wrong quote over the phone. When I arrived I was told an alignment was $20 more when I asked why man yelled from the back and said giver her a brake she is new. I really needed an alighnnent so i still had them do it. That was a big mistake. I drove from buffalo to ithaca and something felt off when I got home. The steering wheel was tilted more to the left when I tried driving straight. I then looked under my truck and noticed my bolt above the sleeve to my outer tie rod wasnt tight. I called Pat and let him know what happened and he told me get lost and wouldnt fix the problem or give me a return.

Contacted them today JUST to see if they Could check my light to be fixed and the guy swore at me and extremely rude. I never asked him to do anything for free and He implied that and I just decided against even going to this location. I will be making a formal complaint

Brought my jeep in to replace rear axle seals. Next day the seals were leaking worse than they were when i brought the truck in, enough that there was a puddle of differential fluid around my tire. i brought it back in, and the mechanic tried to tell me another shop must have done the work and put one of the pieces in backwards. They were the only ones to tough the rear axle seals in the 3 years I have had the truck. they refuse to take responsibility. Now the same seals are leaking again after only 1 week. NEVER will i trust this company to service my vehicles. Would NOT recommend them to anyone for any reason. Dont waste your time or money.

11/1/11 - I am a bit of a cynic by nature, so when it comes to auto mechanics, I generally trust no one except my father-in-law. The problem is that Pats shop is only two doors down from my office and my father-in-law is way out by the airport (and most work requires that you leave your vehicle all day). For almost two years I second guessed every diagnosis they made on my 3/4 ton Ram truck––every single time they (Midas) came up clean! Very fair pricing. Honest diagnosis. Fast, quality work. I take my truck there and also my wifes Magnum (yes, my wife drives a Hemi :)7/27/12 - update - When you get your oil changed, is it true that if you grease the fittings every time youll damage the seals? Pat said it is.

The service was extremely slow. Everyone looked unprofessional. You could barely understand the man behind the counter. The waiting area is messy and strait out of the 1970s. There is no WiFi, coffee, or any other amenities for any waiting customers.I came for an oil change and tire rotation and waited more than 2 hours because “they didn’t have the right filter.” I had made an appointment. The mechanics were literally sitting, swearing, and laughing instead of working. In one word, this shop can be described as “sketch.”Pay the extra money at another shop and save yourself the headache that this place is.
