Great tire shop. Andy was so helpful and honest. Good workers and the waiting room is pet friendly so that was a plus! Also across the street to anchor bar the birth of the chicken wing! Definitely trustworthy and would recommend to anyone.

I purchased tires 4 years ago, and this week ran over a huge bolt. brought it to them, they plugged it. and Im off back in my vehicle safely same day and no charge. very good experience and great customer service.

I have now taken my car to Cleve-Hill (the one across from Anchor Bar) 3 times: once for them to run some diagnostic tests, the second time for my cars inspection, and the third time to do some brake work. I am very happy with all of the work theyve done on my car! Their prices are reasonable, and customer service is polite and friendly. Recommend!

DO NOT RECOMMEND! Waited 5 hours for an inspection, where they said my brakes failed inspection and I needed to purchase new brakes. I was charged the inspection price anyway and I proceeded to take my car elsewhere. I was issued an inspection at the new place in 20 minutes. I also overheard a conversation if he was going to pass it or not and then whether or not to charge me. This place is clearly a money grab with con artists at the front desk (Chris). Do not waste your time or be talked into extras, very untrustworthy.

Professional and knowledgeable staff. Family owned and operated. Did not feel any sales pressure like you would generally experience at a big box corporate auto service retail store. They told me my wheel bearings were going and something was wrong with my transmission. I took it to a dealership to get it checked they said the only thing wrong was the oxygen filter. And I love how they parked my car.

I have been using Cleve-Hill on Main St. in Buffalo for over 10 years. I can completely trust them for routine maintenance, tires and also major repairs. Their customer service is excellent; they do not try to oversell you and I think that their prices are fair. No doubt less than the dealer. One of the best shops in Buffalo (main and north location), front desk staff are friendly and professional - they dont jerk you around. Just recently had a side view mirror fixed there for $70 - West Herr wanted $570, i know dealerships are usually more expensive but just shows the difference finding an honest mechanic can make.

EVERY CLEVE HILL IS A SCAM. SERIOUSLY DONT GO HERE. My bf came in for simple new brakes and never had an issue with his car. IMMEDIATELY after we noticed his brakes were veerryy loose. He took it back after a few weeks to see if it would go back to normal and they said he would need brand new brakes..again.. we called them out for just selling us new brakes and they said they would look at the car and after said it was just a screw they forgot to screw in.... Now every other week its something new that he has to pay for. Please take your car literally anywhere else your practically paying them to brake your car

If you are having work done to your vehicle especially up under your hood make sure you check under your hood before you leave the repair shop and also make sure you do not have any loose change laying around.

I highly recommend this place. I dropped off my jeep for an oil change and to replace front and rear brakes. They called me and said the brake pads still had some life in them and to come back in around 3-5 months. Thats an honest mechanic shop.

I have been going here for years! I have a 13-1/2 year old car I’ve been bringing here for the past 10 years or so and used to love the service. Since Alan has left I’ve been back 3 times and have been sadly discouraged with the people. The first time the left oil all over the inside of my car dour (I had just had just gotten an interior cleaning at delta sonic the day before), I get they have oil on their hands but this was dripping down my door all in the handle. The second time and third time I had made appointments ahead of time , but it takes them ALL day for a scheduled tire change (with the tires being stored there already) and inspection?? I used to sit and wait for both of those things to be done, but Cleve hill used to be faster friendlier service I am close to finding a new car place. I recommended this place to a lot of friends and since the switch in people I have warned friends who I recommended they go here that it had changed.

I live and work in the immediate vicinity of the Main St location. Last year, my AC drain was clogged and they got me in quickly and flushed it out, which fixed all of my AC problems (had water leaking into the cabin due to the clog). Prices are fair and work is always done on time. Getting oil and brakes done there as well. genuine mechanics that arent upselling anything at all. Just doing the work that needs to be done.

Well,actually, I wanted to put one star. I used this place before and it was great. But now it is a mess. My tire was leaking and I made an appointment remembering how many times they saved me time and money before.There were two guys at reception,one of them took my keys, while swallowing coleslaw and talking to me at the same time. He told me it will take 10 minutes, so I asked, if they can do tire rotation after they fix air leak. I estimated it would take about 40 minutes and went for a stroll, the shop is located in prettiest downtown area. When I came back, I was informed that the car was just taken in. I said that it has been almost an hour and they would need to expedite their work, because I have to be at work at 1pm. The reception guy just went in garage and commanded to put my tire back on without any repairs. I told him that I am extremely dissatisfied, they wasted two hours of my work time and did not do a thing, and I will make sure to write a review. The guy did not care, he did not even apologize, replied:go ahead in a very arrogant way.So I am going ahead and putting this review in. Before there was just one gentleman working at reception, very courteous and caring and the work was done on time and it was done properly.There are still good mechanics in the shop. The one which worked on my car came out, told me what might be a problem with my tire and apologized, explaining that he had to work on other car.Resume: if you do not care about timeliness and enjoy arrogant treatment, there is still possibility that the work will be done properly, but seeing how reception faces changed, I would not bet on it.

Rob was managing the front desk and it was a great experience.I went there for a slow leak in my tire and they solved that no problem. They also noticed some problem with my tie-rod and I was able to call my car company and get it covered under warranty.When I initially called on a Saturday morning Rob was able to get me an appointment within an hour, and I was in and out of the shop in under a half hour.As a busy person I greatly appreciate their hassle free service. They definitely made my life easier.Thank you Rob!

Went in to get two tires mounted, work was performed in about 2 hours as I was told. They offered me extra services for a dented oil pan and struts, I politely declined and they werent pushy about it. They also educated me about mounting the tires which I was naive about. All in all pretty standard service, new tires look good! Will have to see how they perform in the weather !

This place is a rip off. I called and asked to have break pads replaced on a 2015 vehicle and when I get there they tell me I have to replace all brake system pieces. Took the car to the dealer they replaced just the pads. Don’t spend your money here. Total rip off scammers.

After driving around ALL day trying to get our car inspection taken care of, I found this place on Yelp when searching near by auto shops and decided to call. They immediately told us to come right in and wed be taken care of (other shops had 2 hour wait times). In the lobby they gladly give you the wifi password and have 2 stations set up for those who need to use their laptop. I was impressed with the level of customer service provided and friendly staff. Complimentary WiFi, bottled water, and k-cups = Win, Win, WIN!!! Ill be coming back here when I need something done!!

This location is in walking distance from my apartment, there has been several times. like this past week when my plans were interrupted with a tire going flat. I dropped the car off(without an appointment) walked home, and as they promised within 2 hrs, my repair was done and since I had purchased tires at the store there was no charge. What a blessing, the customer service is always exceptional I am grateful to have a wonderful place like this in the city. The workers have also replaced broken windshield wipers in the winter on the spot. Thank you !!!

My car wouldnt start although I had lights on. I had tried to jump it to no avail. I had it towed here and was expecting an expensive repair (alternator? starter?) and instead was told it was just a battery. They got me a new one and on my way in no time.It is great to have an honest repair garage in the neighborhood and I would recommend them to anyone.

I’ve been going here instead of the dealership I bought the car from because it’s much closer to my house. While the staff is friendly, I don’t feel like their service recommendations are honest. This review is a bit late, but I love Cleve-Hill Auto. Both the Hamburg and Buffalo locations. I am sure Cheektowagas location is just as superb.Went to these guys with some brake issues. They identified other issues around the area, fixed them FOR FREE, and gave me advice on how to better maintain my car overall. The work done was satisfactory.Bad luck ensued! Days after, a wheel dropped into an uncovered sewer hole in the street, totally messing up the brand new work they did on the brakes, wheel, and tire.The kickass manager said that because they could use the same parts, they fixed it that day without charge and I got back to work within an hour.

I work in buffalo but commute from rochester.. had a concerning dummy light come on this morning, and needed to get it addressed quickly before the commute home. I had never been to cleve-hill auto, but I called them up, asked if theyd be able to take a look and potentially fix the problem depending on what the problem was. They told me to bring it right in, so I did. They had a diagnosis and cost estimate within an hour of me dropping it off (bad alternator was the main issue, but also found a leaky power steering clamp). The alternator plus labor came out to around 340 (not the cheapest but definitely not terrible), the clamp and power steering flush was 40, and I had them change the oil which was long overdue. My total was just over 400 for the whole thing, and the best part is the entire thing was finished by lunch time. From never having been a customer there; to replacing the alternator, power steering clamps and flush, and an oil change; to being done before lunch.. really good service. Not sure how the prices compare, but I was expecting a few hundred dollars even before they gave me their quote

My brake lights were out, and i needed to get them fixed ASAP, called these guys and they fit me into their busy schedule without an appointment. Fast and easy, easily the best experience I ever had with any mechanic shop.

They were courteous. Thats all I can say. I needed them in a pinch to look at a slow tire leak. My valve stem was broken on my good tire which they stored under the truck and the lug nuts on the spare were left loose enough that my truck started to wobble and make a loud noise travelling on the 219. No wonder there was no charge for their services that day. I called to just let them know what happened and I was in their computer for an oil change, which was not why I was there.1st and last time customer.

Terrible shop! Give these folks an inch and theyll take a yard, with that I mean theyll take every opportunity to take advantage of you. Took my car in for a radiator replacement and 5 days later it overheats and combusts on the NY state thruway! Theyre non-attentive to customers and its pretty obvious that they want to get cars in and out quickly even if the work is mediocre. Avoid this shop, I highly recommend K&A Auto Repair. Youll thank me later.

Great experience. Rob was very helpful at the front desk and I was able to get my car in and out quickly on a Saturday.

They tried to take advantage of me I am still having problems with my car because of there so called work. I paid $457 for front brake they still squeak I brought my car in they claim they could find nothing wrong and now my tires are wearing unevenly. They wanted me to get 2800 dollar of work done and would not pass my car for inspection which passed when I took it elsewhere. I also feel like they did something to mis aline my tires so I will never take my car back there again

Dont ever go here. I went for an alignment. It took 3 hours. They burned my tie rod boots, stripped the boots, when i left it still needed an alignment. We took the car to Sears in Lakewood a day later because the car was still pulling to the right and thats how we found out about the crap job that these guys did.
