Jacks the best! From the moment we entered the store, Jack was great to work with! He is knowledgeable, friendly and a delight to work with. He went out of his way to be sure we understood the differences of all the mattresses and adjustable bed frames. And most importantly, he was always available after the purchase to answer questions. I cannot say enough good things about Jack and American Mattress in Buffalo Grove. Buying a bed during a pandemic is not easy as many other people are doing the same thing and demand is high. I had a bit of a issue getting the bed I ordered because of this, but Jack was professional and understanding, making sure to communicate everything that would happen. I ended up having to do a comfort exchange and Jack was so patient with helping me pick out the best fit for me. Not ONCE did he make me feel pressured. I felt so comfortable working with him; more so than any other sales person. What a nice, easy-going, patient guy. I cannot recommend him enough.

Bought the adjustable Restonic Artist bed and we are SO happy. Last four nights since the bed was delivered we’ve gotten the best nights’ sleep in ages. Were now 90 days into our new mattress from this store so I figured Id drop by and speak my piece on our experience shopping here.First of all, we had virtually no idea what to expect - this was the first mattress my wife and I have ever bought new. The salesperson working the floor walked us through the various tiers and types of mattresses and was, on the whole, extremely helpful (but equally pushy). It was wanted help, though.Eventually another customer came in and we got left to our own devices for a bit and came to our own conclusions while he was busy.The mattress we got was competitively priced compared to listings online and in other retail stores, although direct comparisons are a bit dicey because of the games mattress shops use in differentiating the models so that theyre exempt from price matching.Anyway, we picked one, bought it, scheduled delivery for the next weekend. Delivery occurred on time and without a hitch. They took the old mattress, left the new one, and its been sleeping great ever since.I guess at the end of things, American Mattress was the right amount of helpful and didnt mislead us in any way, which is about as much as I can expect from a commissioned sales shop.

Wow! My husband and I visited this store 2 years ago. We appreciated the education, but were not in a position to purchase at the time. After a recent vacation, we found we slept better in the hotel bed than in our own. We returned to American Mattress as they had been so patient and nice on our first visit. We explained we probably would not purchase that day, that we were re-educating and making a decision. Craig was very patient, helping us decide between two mattresses. With absolutely NO PRESSURE. We realized the mattress in the hotel was the same as the less expensive mattress we were considering. In the end, we decided on the higher end mattress. We are older and look at this as an investment in our health. The delivery men were prompt and efficient. Our stairway is narrow, and they delivered without a nick on a wall. I recommend this store. And I have spent the last few weeks pain free in the morning! Thank you!

We recently bought our King size mattress at this store. Chris was the one that helped us with our purchase. The store had a wide range of mattresses, and Chris was very friendly and methodical in introducing the different varieties of those. His approach helped us decide the right one for us pretty quickly. Great price, great customer service. 5 stars for sure.

Bought a mattress for my new house in July. When the day of delivery came they called to reschedule 2 weeks later. Since I was on a time frame and needed a mattress the sleep on in my new home I cancelled and had a mattress delivered from Amazon next day for 20% of the cost. Over 6 months later I am still chasing them down for a refund of my $1800. Everytime I talk to someone at the store they say to expect a call from their corporate office. Still no call. Please have someone call me to get this resolved.

We went in to scout out mattress cause were moving to NC. Turns out they ship there! So we bought a king w adj bed. Chris is fantastic! Easy going and let us have r space but was right there when we looked like we had a question. Very helpful. I was always hesitant to go into a mattress store but Chris made me feel comfortable immediately. We got an amazing price, so we bought 2 additional queen beds too. My boyfriend and I have never had our own brand new beds weve always had the handme downs. We finally decided that we were going to purchase a bed, never having done that before we werent quite sure what exactly we wanted. When we walked in Chris was very friendly and easy to approach when we said we werent sure exactly what we wanted he was extremely helpful! He had us test out all sorts of mattresses and didnt try to push us into anything out of our range. He was very thorough in making sure we liked the bed we were laying by having us try all the ways we normally sleep. We came in an hour before close and he was in no rush to get us in and out we even ended up staying past close talking with him. Such a great place if your looking for a bed! Good prices, friendly employees, and they make sure to deliver ASAP!

Today I had a wonderful experience buying a new mattress. I had avoided going again to look for one because of the high pressure experience I had recently at another company.. Chris showed me the different types of mattresses in a very informative way but without being subjective. We had a nice conversation about the moveable base and I ended up buying it as it fits my needs now and in the future . I will definitely recommend him to my kfamily and friends.

We worked with Craig, the manager, and he was so helpful. He explained all of our options and the amazing 90-day guarantee on Tempurpedics. My husband and I originally chose a mattress that a little on the firm side for us, but we figured we would get used to it. Three weeks later, we decided we needed to upgrade to the next softer choice, and Craig was more than happy to help us make the change. We also opted for the adjustable platform, which we were not considering when we walked in, and Craig was great with letting us try everything out was not pushy at all. There was a deal with the adjustable platforms at the time, so that helped. Craig also supports the customers local businesses and causes and let me leave brochures for the dog rescue I volunteer at on the table. :)
