If you are looking for a reliable company where you will feel like a valued customer keep looking. Customer service is nonexistent. You will not be able to call the local office. They do not communicate with a customer (or someone trying to be their customer)

If you go there in person the door is locked and the sign says do not knock. If you can get someone to open the door they told me I needed a new prescription before she even knew my name. When I called to speak with a supervisor the call was disconnected after being on hold for way too long. The representatives I spoke with assured me that if the call was dropped they would call me back NOT never happened.

Do not use this company if you or someone you love relies on equipment. They do not communicate with a customer (or someone trying to be their customer). I spent close to 2 weeks working with my son’s doctor and my insurance company. My dr and my insurance co did their part. But not AHP. They would not even pick up the phone to communicate with me. I told them everything on day 1 and my insurance co called them on day 1. If they didn’t want to do take care of my son, they could have told us then. Instead, our doctor and I spent a lot of time doing all they asked for. They never picked up the phone to call me. And every time I called them it was something else. Finally they said they couldn’t help us. My son’s bipap needed to be replaced. Doctor said so. Insurance approved it. Seriously shouldn’t be that hard.

One star only because there is no ZERO STAR option. Good luck if you have to use this company for any supplies. They do not care about the patients needs. After an eternal hold, you will be transferred around and hung up on multiple times.

After reading all the negative reviews - it does make me wonder about this company and it’s business practices. I called about equipment that we turn in in January and have continued to be billed for since...it is May now and I cannot talk about the bill to them because of HEPA. I don’t need any info on his medical condition-I just need them to know the equipment was returned and they continue to Bill me and my Insurance Company!!!!

I have been working with them for almost two years. While the local folks are fine to deal with once you are established and working through their corporate sales folks they try to force you to purchase supplies you do not need. I have to ask them to repeat the order back several times to make sure they arent sending products that I do not need. After doing some research I am finding most of these companies have very poor reviews.

The staff was very professional and polite. Everything was explained and demistrated so when I got home I would have no problems using my cpap.I have to admit that I was not expecting the high service provided by the staff so I was very and pleasantly surprised when most of the reviews were way off the mark.

The the CPAP I got from saved both my life and my job this place is horrible. Countless calls and reassurances that my monthly supplies would be delivered. Over a year and I have never received a single item from these people. Not even bills for the longest time when I called and asked because I was told id have a monthly charge they said i had a balance and would be notified when it was out and I owed. months go by. Then a 400$ bill shows up for unpaid rent and supplies. What freaking supplies?!?! I get my filters and supplies elsewhere. Ill pay off my machine and wipe my hands of this place

I brought in all equipment before I was to be charged the recurring fee for the machines I had but was still charged. I just called and after being on hold for over 15 minutes, I was told they would need to speak to my husband about the charge even though the credit card is under my name. So I’m stuck with a $115 fee for something I no longer have. No wonder this place has horrible reviews.

I am pretty sure this company is scamming my insurance for items they never send me. In the 6 months I have had my cpap machine, Ive had 4 different replacement items that were misplaced or never delivered, and additionally have to call them EVERY SINGLE MONTH to inquire why my items (which are supposedly set to mail automatically when the replace date is set) have not been shipped yet. Its always Oh, were waiting for FedEx or Oh thats so strange. Well, let me fix it. Its never fixed.They do manage to send the bill ON TIME every month though.The office itself is extremely sketchy looking. Nothing about it felt right. It reminded me of some low-rent warehouse selling items that fell off the back of a truck. I was half convinced I was going to be kidnapped when I followed the lady into the cpap fitting office. I gave this a 2 stars instead of one because of the fact that the lady who assisted with the fitting DID seem to know what she was talking about, and was very thorough in explaining everything.If you have to get your supplies from here due to insurance or whatever, know that some replacement bits are probably cheaper on amazon.

Worst customer service I have ever encountered. When I do place an order it is shipped with several wrong items. Every time this happens it takes months to get the right supplies and even longer to get the billing corrected. I will not be placing any more orders through this company. I have also had to deal with Lincare which is the same company as American Home patient. One is as bad as the other. I have found a source that is easy to deal with and the pricing is much much better than American Home Patient. The only reason I didn’t rate them no stars is that does not seem to be an option. Would like to rate the -10 stars.

Although the phone number on the website doesnt get you directly into the office, my experiences have been okay. I had worked with medi-care equipment before ad they are maybe a one star.My experiences working with Stacy have been good.

When my mother was discharged from the rehab hospital, American Home Patient was used for oxygen tanks and concentrator and a wheel chair. We were going to get a hospital bed but they did not have a mattress available; we would have to wait a few days. We ended up not getting a hospital bed. When we contacted them for more oxygen tanks, no one responded to my voicemail. When I called back the next day I was told they do not have voicemail. Huh? Really? I checked my phone to make sure I did not misdial the day before. I dialed correctly. When I had them pick up the equipment, again, they were slow to respond. Wont be using them again when she leaves skilled nursing. Customer support is too unreliable. Also, the tech who delivered the equipment never followed up on getting wheelchair brake extenders. (To get more leverage for weak patients to be able to set the brakes).

This has to be the absolute WORST business experience I have ever had! They never return a call and when you finally get through to them they dont have anyone you can speak to above the helpless person answering the phone and they say they will call back and NEVER do. And, Lincare was no better either. If you can avoid this company - save yourself and do so! I even had Blue Cross Blue Shield call and contact them and they wouldnt respond!

Very unprofessional staff. I wanted to change my Mass and they wanted to charge me a $20 office visit for literally one minute worth of work, all I needed was to exchange a mask and they wanted to charge me an office visit. It is impossible to get anybody on the phone and speak with them. I wish there was another Home Patient office in Bryan besides this one

Do not get medical supplies from this place. While the staff was typically friendly, I experienced several instances where CPAP mask fits were poorly done, resulting in relatively useless equipment I could not return. Even after my doctor switched equipment, they continued to send incorrect or unneeded supplies. Moved to another provider and they continued to send supplies and bill me for up to two months afterwards. I called to return the supplies and they said they would send shipping labels, which of course were never received. This company seems to be grossly incompetent and cannot get its shipping schedule right. Customer support staff is typically rude and only helpful when you press them for the information you need. Best to find another provider for CPAP supplies.
