We visited for the fall festival. We had kids ranging from 8-18 (or much older if you count me in) and we all had a blast! They have corn mazes, hay rides, pig races, giant bounce pads, and much more. The 300+ foot slide down the side of the hill (pictured) was definitely the highlight! Those young people hauling the burlap sacks back up the hill deserve a raise or at least a tip jar. The fresh, hot, apple cider donuts were amazing and washing them down with a cider slush was great. So many foods that smelled so good, but we couldnt try them all. Prices were fair. All of the employees were polite. It was very well run and enjoyable.

My favorite local spot to take sunset pictures, if people are smart enough to turn their lights off or even park backwards facing the valley then you have yourself an amazing time frame and view point. Its one of the best things to do in the spring, summer, fall or winter.

It was okay. For $16 per person you kinda expect everything to be open, which was not the case. Came on a Sunday during the rock festival. Music was great but the slide was closed (bummer) & apparently we took the last hayride to the big corn maze, but no one told us that when they convinced us to get off & go through the maze!! There will be another tractor coming around that will pick you up, but no one ever came. The pumpkin patch was non existent, literally not a single pumpkin left. Which I get, its a busy farm & we came later in the season, but it would be cool if you could post that on the website or somewhere so when people come to get pumpkins, they arent disappointed when they are gone. We did get some apples that were delicious. Overall we had a good time. But Im having a hard time justifying spending that much money to walk around a farm. Next year we will try something new!

Watch out for the ATV’s — they will nearly run you over. Super muddy, and for $16 a person, not enough activities for little ones. I guess my toddler had a good time but it didn’t take long to complete each event. I fully expected more of a crowd, and more arts and crafts, things like face painting etc. It was not worth our 45 minute drive, and I do not think we will back.

Fun things to do for kids & adults. Longer lines during the afternoon (to be expected), but if you stay long enough its less crowded after 8PM. My kid loved everything that Mapleside offered including the slide & big bounce area next to the playground. Looking forward to coming back again!!

The bakery wasn’t even fresh this year. Everything was boxed up or put in bags. Part of the reason I go to pumpkin/fall farms is too get the fresh doughnuts and apple fritters. Was pretty bummed especially since I had to pay $16 to see the rest of the farm

Hands down, the best apple products you can get locally. Cider to die for. Apple butter that is so smooth you would think it was red apple sauce. I used to frequent this farm when i was a kid. Its been 25 years. While some things have changed, the quality has remained the same.

We went for Pirate & Princess day and the kids enjoyed that. However, it was our first time and was very busy with lines for the rides, slide, etc. If we go back, I would not go on the weekend. Also very dusty and lots of bees, so plan accordingly. Beautiful views though and nice concession stands. Kids had fun.

Review №18

We had a nice time at the farm, but they had too many events going on at once so we had to wait in a lot of lines. The slide was about a 45 minute wait and each individual food/drink link was probably about 20 minutes. Also the pumpkin patch didnt have any viable pumpkins, but I wonder if there was a second patch we didnt find? Other than that, I know they are probably short staffed (like a lot of places are now), so I dont want to ding them too much. Overall we had fun and our little one enjoyed the bouncy thing which didnt have a line! We also enjoyed fresh made donuts and apple cider.

We dropped $100 to stand in line for an hour for cider, an hour for a tractor ride and their main attraction the slide was closed for 2 hours because of a wedding. Waste of money. No pumpkins, no apples. Weren’t sure what they are charging for. Tried to get rain check or refund and they refused and won’t reply to email. Many other choices are better… ANY other are better.

It’s a NO for me. My step mom - whom is from the area, took me here to check it out before I decided to bring my son for some fall festivities. It is very lack luster to say the least. They charge $13 for children three and up, plus you have to pay for yourself. It’s $16 every Saturday and Sunday. I think that is SO overpriced. We walked around the whole perimeter and I only saw about four children’s activities, of course including the huge slide (which is the only thing that caught my eye) the ice cream shop wasn’t open, nor was the BBQ eatery, located near a very small gift shop. I think they were very overpriced on a lot. Asking $3 for a very small lollipop? I don’t think so, sorry. Also, the bakery? What a joke. All racks were basically empty and the Carmel apples didn’t look appetizing. Save your money. They only had a few bins out filled with pumpkins and they charge .50 cents per pound. Otherwise I believe the real small ones were $3. I was very disappointed. It seemed busy but my step mom informed me that that is really all there is to do in Brunswick around this time of year, so of course the people hoard to it. I’m so glad she took me here before I decided to drive all the way and regrettably would of had to pay $13 per person. Please save your money. If you are looking to take your children to an AWESOME fall festivities extravaganza then go to Ramseyer Farms in Wooster. They have so much to do there!

I was there doing a wedding and I have absolutely nothing negative to say. The staff were team players and wanted to make sure that I was settled. The person that was in charge of the event wanted to make sure that everything was ran according to the schedule and they wanted to make sure that the bride and groom were satisfied. As far as I know they had a blast and loved that day. I want to thank the whole team of the venue for helping me out and being a team! Blessings to all of you!

Went for Rocktoberfest - absolutely not as advertised. Live music? Barely. Brewery garden? If you consider a building that sells bud light a brewery garden then sure. They advertised special beers specifically made for this event… never saw a single one. Even asked workers and they had no clue. If you’re under the age of 10, might be fun. But definitely don’t go if you’re looking for “rocktoberfest” vibes. And for the price of the ticket.. absolutely not recommend.

My family paid a good amount of money to go here on a Saturday during their fall festival. I was so looking forward to picking pumpkins with my son and enjoying autumn activities. Unfortunately, there were hardly ANY pumpkins in the pumpkin field and the ones that were there were smashed or rotting - we overheard someone else complain about this to a guy working at the booth who said the field was supposed to be restocked with pumpkins about an hour before...but had not been. The pig race was one lap around a tiny track - not worth the watch. And we waited about forty minutes in line just to go down the big slide. We didnt even attempt the hayride - ridiculously long line. So disappointed.

The facility is beautiful and our family always has a wonderful time. However, It is extremely difficult to plan events there because no one answers the phone and it is a long period of time before messages are returned if at all. It would be most beneficial to the community if someone was available to take calls even during standard hours from 8 AM to 5 PM to answer basic questions. This has been an ongoing struggle for the last several years. We are local living in Brunswick and it is difficult for us, so I could only imagine how challenging it would be for people who would like to drive in from different areas in Ohio to visit the facility.

I went to Ramseyer farms a few weeks ago and decided to try this one since it’s closer. It was alright. You had to do a lot of walking to get to everything and they didn’t really have it that organized or offer that much. For the money…I’ll be taking the drive back to Wooster to Ramseyer where they have a literal jungle gym for kids and activities are close together, the lines move fast, etc. just an overall better experience there

I spent $51 dollars for 3 people to go here over the weekend and it was not worth it. The parking lot was confusing. It doesn’t have a sign showing where to walk to get to the festival. We were walking uphill when a man stopped us and told us we were going the wrong way. It was a long walk to the festival. We also waited in line for 20 minutes for the hayride.. rode to the first stop - the corn maze. After we went through the corn maze.. we waited in line to get back on the hayride, but no one had gotten off. We waited three rounds and were told that we would have to walk back to the beginning of the line if we wanted to finish the hayride. Not sure why they didn’t just send an empty one for the people waiting. It was a 40 minute wait for the slide and there wasn’t a lot of activities to do for kids. Pretty disappointed.

Went here with my fiancé several years ago and also with family a lot further back. The atmosphere was nice when we both paid a visit but things have really changed for the worse I guess. The gift shop has been completely dismantled and old fountain is off and is decommissioned, the greeting card section of it is also gone and boarded up where it used to be, The Apple Butter Farm restaurant is now a lodge, the family that used to own Mapleside when it was really good- now they only serve as advisors to the current owners who run the farm now and things are not what they should be. I might return here again- because my last visit before the pandemic was not terrible- but a lot of things need to be restored to what they once were and then maybe Mapleside would get a great deal of its business back. We will have to wait and see.
