Im a big fan of independent coffee shops. And this is a wonderful example of all that is good! Free WiFi, Comfy chairs, great coffee and espresso drinks, sandwiches, oh, nice local art on the wall too! Well be back.

Usually hit this place up after my dentist cleaning and never disappoints! Ordered their Bagel with Lox this morning (everything bagel, cream cheese, avocado, and salmon) and OMG the combinations of flavors was incredible! Will be back for sure. I only finished one half of the bagel, so y’all are amazing! If you love salmon you owe it to yourself to try this!

Really kewl atmosphere. As I sat drinking my coffee with my friend Gaby, the aromas of some wonderful smelling food permeated the space. I couldnt decide what to order.I decided on a bagel with cream cheese, avocado and lox ... I thought a bit pricey until I saw it loaded with lox❗I could only eat a quarter of it at a time ... it was Devine❗❗💯In this photo I had already picked off several pieces of lox as it was to high for me to bite❗🍴🍔

Stopped in Brunswick on a drive this afternoon and wanted to grab coffee here. Havent been to little dog in ages and glad they havent changed quaint on the outside and in lots of open seating but dont forget to bring your mask. Prices are not out of this world either and little dog makes a great cup of joe

Been quite awhile since i stooped in, Definitely doesnt have the cozy home like vibe it used to. Now its cold and stale. Staff was rude as can be, like seriously, how about a smile or a hi how are you?. Prices were more than starbucks and they messed up my order twice. You cant blame covid for bad service.

Lost it’s home town feel with new renovations. To stark and not cozy anymore. Removed there frozen latte from there menu one of the best Lattes. Had been coming here sense they opened. They have lost what set them apart from all the Other coffee shops in Portland there home town feel/atmosphere.

First time visit today. Had a slice of the Southwest quiche. It was delicious and a very good sized portion. I would have given it 5 stars but we had to send it back once to warm it all the way through. Otherwise everything was good! I will visit again.

When I was in town in October 2019, the self-service kiosks were incredibly helpful and convenient to use!

The Little Dog is great! Very good place to sit and use the laptop or just read the paper and have coffee and a bagel. They serve Coffee By Design which is an excellent local roaster. Recently they underwent a renovation and though the service area is definitely improved I miss the couch and chairs. Its still a great spot in Brunswick. Highly recommend.UPDATE: Maybe I missed them last time I was in but I went into The Dog recently and the couch and chairs had returned! Yay! Excellent Coffee shop.

This cozy little coffee shop is within walking distance to the downtown Maine Street and recently went through a refresher! With new owners and fun new evening hours with open mic nights and board game nights, etc you have to check them out. They have a wide variety of specialty drinks and delicious treats. They have a specials everyday for your breakfast, lunch, and special menus for their events. There is ample seating inside or outside.

Went in today at 3:05pm (Having no idea they closed at 3) & was treated very rudely by an employee. Sorry buddy but I wasn’t the one who left the door open so I could enter the establishment. Simply walk up & talk to me like a human being & act less like a brat. Treat people with respect it will go along way in life.

I love this place its a cool relaxing area and they have nice menu I got a peach mango smoothie and yes u can mix the smoothie flavors so again its a nice area to just relax as long as you have your mask.

Great Roasted Vegetable Quiche today while looking out over Brunswick Maine Street. The renovations look great and there is plenty of space for everyone. Boardgame corner is a must play. Will have to check out the evening events coming up. The owner Mason is certainly doing a great job at bringing new life to the shop.

Lovely spot with a sunny sidewalk area with tables. The Little Dog blend coffee was very nice and I usually give for the darkest coffee. This coffee was smooth and roasty and a little sweet,and I drink it black! Enjoyed my breakfast sandwich. The egg was fluffy,and the service was very polite.

I stopped in here to get a quick bagel and coffee for the road. The California bagel was perfectly toasted and delicious. The coffee was great. I wish I lived closer, but this was a smart stop on my way out of Maine.

The cafe is incredibly pretentious, and would not get any business if there were more local coffee options. The food is decent, but not worth what you pay. The staff have been incredibly rude every time Ive gone in over the course of ten years, save for one time a staff was actually friendly, and I remember because I was so surprised. Like others have said, you will wait a weirdly long time for your coffee, food, or other drinks, while there is almost no one else there, and watch the staff stand there instead of starting an order. The owner responding defensively (and one rudely) to several of the poor reviews on here is probably where the staff inherit their lack of customer service skills. Go to Wild Oats or Bohemian instead.

Super tasty baked goods, possibly the best home made veggie cream cheese in the galaxy, and really fresh foods make this place a must stop in Brunswick. Thats even before you get to the staff and place itself!Very kind and patient staff, plus a fun setup up. I really like the environmental concern in the offerings too!

The coffee is great, the food on the other hand is not worth what is being charged. For two coffees and two breakfast sandwiches our bill was 26 dollars. The sandwiches werent bad, I mean they were better than something you could get at McDonalds, but you can definitely find better food around for this price.In response to the owner reply: yes I did get some extra tomatoes on the sandwich that were not actually put on said sandwich, I was saying that your cafe is better than the typical morning food joint. Our coffees were 16oz so around 5 a piece with tax. But thanks for the well wishes!

They recently had a COMPLETE makeover, I loved it the old way and I love it even more the new way!! I love the atmosphere, the dri ks and food!! Little dog is my go to place for studying, reading and meeting up with friends! 10/10 recommend 100 percent.

Never have I felt a more uncomfortable feeling then when I walked into this place. My family and I stopped in for coffee and it was like I was on the set of a new hipsters only sitcom. The looks from the other customers and a woman in her mid 40s (behind the counter, dark hair) were less then inviting, like as if we were lost and they were confused on why we were there. Did not feel welcomed in any way shape or form. We will not be going back.

So you walk in, and its an empty room with a miniature poodle in the middle and a mug of coffee at the far end. Its pretty straightforward, unlike these new-fangled coffee stores with the fancy drinks. The dog is mean, but as advertised its little, so its not hard to get past the tiny fella. Once you circumvent the pooch, you leave a few bucks and take the mug. Easy. The coffees alright, too.

They are the best at smoothies and a great place to hold birthday parties. We held my besties birthday there last night along with an art show opening.

I enjoy the drinks, and baked goods. Sometimes the wait can be a little long, but the crew is always working quickly to get you your order inspite if the backlog.

Decided to stop by Brunswick after a nice walk at Bradbury. Stopped in here for some hot cocoa. Man o man, definitely go for the mint if youre here... definitely some of the best hot cocoa around!

Little Dog is the perfect small town coffee shop: the coffee is hot, the pastries are fresh, the staff is friendly, and atmosphere is warm and inviting. Paul has done a great job running this place for many years and Im happy to be a regular. Pro tip: try the soup.

Quick service and great iced Chai tea

We were so excited to find a place with gluten free bagels and muffins! Our excitement waned quickly as it took 18 minutes from when we walked in the door to get two bagels. There was one person in line before us And there were 4 people behind the counter. These folks seemed to spend more time chatting among themselves than working on orders and urgency was certainly not a word theyve heard before. On top of that, the bagel was so bad, we each spit it out.  Weve both been gluten free for many years and have had more than our fair share of horrible gluten free things but these bagels now have the dubious honor of being at the top of the list!

I stopped here while RVing and had some great cold brew and a surprisingly good bagel. The staff was also really generous in assisting me with a travel need I had. Thank you!

The service was good but a little bit slow for only one drink that needed to be prepared, they had a good selection of self serve coffee but were out of more than half of them. Cute environment with decent amount of tables and a few food options.

This is the second time Ive gone and let me preface this by saying this place seems to have pretty good bakery items (crumb cake, regular bagels and carrot cake are ones I liked) and coffee ( Ive gotten the iced chai and its not too sweet which I appreciate) as well as hard-working people that try very hard to be fast and give good customer service. The atmosphere is good, usually pretty busy so be ready to wait (if you want fast, I recommend Dunkin).The two stars comes from my dissatisfaction with a recent order. We got a raisin bagel with cream cheese and a breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese.Neither item was beyond okay (in my personal opinion). The cream cheese didnt taste like anything to me or my partner. We are used to having a creamy cream cheese but the taste of this was very very subtle and so was the seasoning in the raisin bagel, both tasted like diluted versions of what Im used to. Halfway through the raisin bagel, the taste started to shift towards sesame/everything? Which was really unpleasant and strange. Im not sure if there was some cross contamination with a different bagel but either way I couldnt finish it and gave it to my partner who does like those types of bagels and she agreed that it tasted like sesame.As for the breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel, the bagel itself was nice, it was toasted well, but the cheese and egg on it were just disappointing. The cheese itself was more sour than what I expected but it could very well have been a mistake in understanding what kind of cheddar it was, the biggest disappointment was the egg. It was like a mix of the microwaved eggs you get in fast-food and fried egg which Im not sure how to describe. It was mostly whites and no seasoning I could taste.Last thing, this place does have outside seating for you if you have a pet which is a plus.

Nice variety of beverages & treats; found the staff personable. Seems to be a popular hangout for the college crowd as ALL the seating was occupied by young people with the computers and textbooks. Luckily, it was a warm day and we found a bench up the block where we could enjoy our coffees.

Had a nice early Sunday breakfast here today. Sandwiches and muffins were great, as was the coffee of course. Nice outdoor seating for people watching along Maine St.

I dont know why I havent tried this place before but now that I have Ill definitely be back (I have to try all the quiches after all). There is plenty of seating inside including a few couches. All the staff that I encountered were very nice and eager to help with any questions. The coffee is Coffee by Design.

Coffee is delicious. I appreciate that they offer a selection of gluten-free baked goods. They keep the music in the shop at a low volume, which is nice. Staff are friendly and helpful.

They served me the best Latte that I have ever had. I also recommend their sandwiches. Little Dog is a very comfortable place to spend time whether you need to work or relax. They always are always welcoming to their guests. Its a good place to play board games. They have all of the new classics like Settlers of Catan, Splendor, and Dixit, as well as the ones every one knows and loves like Scrabble and Cribbage. They also serve wine and beer. Wifi is always available.

Between my girlfriend and I were here daily. Never had an issue, they even secured a pair of expensive sunglasses for my girlfriend when she left them there. Its usually pretty busy but they handle the rush smoothly and get orders correct.
