I spent just over $400 on stuff mostly for 3 boys. Clothing, shoes, and new sleeping bags. I never felt like the prices were ridiculous. The only deduction is that a few of the shoes we had tried to get were missing sizes or none were on the self. The few employees I talked with were curtious and willing to help. The next trip will likely boost this review to a solid 5/5.

Great sporting and outdoor gear. If you are fishing, hunting , camping or just hanging out by the pool at home you can find the gear you need and can use. The staff is friendly , helpful and can guide you to what you are looking for.

I love this place they always have what I need! I went to 4 different places to get my granddaughter a bike for her birthday and they were the only ones that had exactly what I was looking for at the price I was looking for and they also had at least 5 options for her to pick from! She was so happy and we as the bestest GG ever! Academy made me rock that mission! Love this place!

Largest sporting goods store Ive ever been in. Academy is huge. They really do have everything and their prices are excellent.I was looking for a new pair of tennis shoes and was amazed to find 6 well stocked and extremely well organized rows of shoes.Never came in contact with an employee until check out but found two great pairs of shoes for the price I would have paid for one pair at Dicks.Very satisfied with the overall experience and quality of the products purchased.

Bought a Glock 17. Had to wait about 15 minutes for background check. If you purchase a gun they’ll give you ammo they reserve special. Most ammo on the shelf has been gone for the past year.

Wish there was a better selection of childrens shoes but overall, good store and nice employees

Best one in the area. We actually found some ammo! My friend bought a Maverick 88 for $199 plus tax! No price gouging during the pandemic. Thats a good reason to go back.

First time to ACADEMY Sports. Nice, clean and spacious with an amazing range of products. Prices seem pretty good. I wasnt able to get what I wanted because the on-line inventory is not synched with the actual products on hand. A happy surprise was they had.something similar I could actually use. Ill be back!!!

Bought some barbell weights from a helpful employee for $33.Cashier signed me up on the Academy Credit card and gave me $15 off on the purchase. Who beats that??? Brunswick ga next to Sams.

How did Brunswick do without this place ? I can find Crocs, workout clothes, and Rockers for the porch all in one place. Someone is always on the floor to give you customer assistance. Fast and efficient checkout! It always a pleasant shopping experience!

I miss Larry in the fishing department, that guy helped me find the perfect fishing equipment last year and this year hes so spread out I cant hardly talk to him about fishing equipment. 😢

Academy is always a lil pricey but a good selection

This was my first visit to this store, and my mother was with me. She wanted to go here to see the shoe selection. She is not used to paying a lot of money for shoes, but the cheap shoes are not good for her feet. We were not only greeted at the door by a very nice gentleman. But he also showed us the direction to go for shoes. Then we were greeted Again by another employee. My mother said she needed help and this girl stepped up to the plate. My mother has trouble hearing and also did not know what kind of shoe she needed. This employee was very patient and understanding and sweet to my mother. This means a lot in this world today. I myself did not purchase anything but will definitely be going back ! Just sorry I hadnt been there before. Oh and yes she found a great pair of shoes and is very happy with them.

Love shopping here for their store brands, as they are good quality for the low prices. Of course some name brands are high up there but what do you expect for the best of the best? The prices are way too expensive... Shoes, and outdoor pop up chairs, along with some other things, were just way too expensive; almost double of anybody elses around.

Awesome place.

They dont require mask, but give healthcare works a discount. I was surrounded by people without a mask at checkout. No social distancing was enforced. Never going back. Patients at my work deserve to have those around them protected. I felt unsafe there.

Had absolutely the best gun using experience with Jason! He got us set with a pretty good discount for being first responders, and some credit cards! He was super knowledgeable and super quick! The only employee I’ll be seeing to purchase a gun with from here on out!

Will never use them again. I buy from the big stores when out of town playing ball games. Big name stores are better for returns if something goes wrong. We got a quickshade canopy, the lady in one store said to just bring it back if anything was wrong. Good bc the first one was used and rusted when we opened it. They said sorry and made it right. After about 3 times using it in 3 months the frame started messing up. Took it back today and was told they dont take them back. I told the guy that yes you do bc of what happen the first time. I know its not his fault so I just left but why buy from the big stores to get treated like that. $180 canopy and it brakes in 3 months you should get some help. Will not use academy sports any more.
