Took our vehicle to another shop in town because of a popping noise in rear. They said nothing was wrong and they couldn’t hear anything. Took it to Barnes and it was a dried out Universal joint. They replaced it right away and the price was excellent! We also had brakes and shocks put on our work truck. Bob is friendly, knowledgeable, and his crew gets the work done fast. He has earned our trust and business. One thing to note...a lot of people feel the same and his shop is busy! Worth the wait!

Finally, I found a repair shop I can trust. They didnt have the tire I needed but they found one in town and had it installed within the hour. GREAT PRICES!! and friendly staff. Dont waste your time a MONEY with those other guys on community rd.

I knew the reviews for this place were good, but they don’t do justice for just HOW GOOD Barnes Auto is. I was vacationing in Brunswick from Atlanta when my wife’s car appeared to overheat. Coolant was bubbling and looked like it was leaking. I let them know what I thought and they were able to take a look SAME DAY! Not only were they able to check and pressure test the coolant system for leaks, we weren’t even charged! Apparently if there is nothing to fix, they don’t charge you! My wife and I are incredibly grateful for the service provided at Barnes Auto and we wish there was a place like them in Atlanta!

He’s worked on my 05 mustang multiple times (brakes, car lift, exhaust). He’s the only AUTO SHOP in Brunswick I trust to look at my car. They are very honest, and he also has a great team of employees. The beautiful lady at the front desk was sooo kind, even when I asked a million questions she never got upset lol. Thank you so much!! After getting a small screw in one tire, another mechanic said wed need to replace all 4 tires. Brought it to Barnes for a second/ honest opinion, and they patched it for $20. Love these guys!

Its been a month since I had my alternator replaced at the local dealership. From that time until now, my car had been overheating and was giving absolutely no A/C, and the days have been getting hotter. Ive had enough. Not wanting to bring my car back to that dealership, I searched for local auto shops for comparison pricing, expecting to spend hundreds to address and fix my issue. After settling on this venue, due to its proximity to my home, I am greeted by a friendly hey there and am assisted immediately.I cut to the chase with the manager about my issue and am given a short list of possible causes before I even put the period at the end of my sentence. I am informed that my vehicle can be looked at right away. I give Bob my keys, my contact information, and a goodbye.I barely get a chance to sit down when I get home when I get a call from Bob telling me that he fixed my car and was ready for pickup! Apparently whoever installed my alternator didnt plug in all the connections properly, and Bob was kind enough to plug everything in correctly FOR FREE. I was equal parts pleased with Bob and displeased with the experts who had ONE JOB at the dealership. So much so, that I expressed my gratitude with buying new tires my car desperately needed from the hundreds of dollars I saved here for very agreeable prices.TL;DR - This place is the real deal with people who know what theyre doing. Theyve secured my future business as well as my recommendation for others.

Had to get my back brakes done. Was in a hurry because I had to get to class but needed my car back right after. No problem they told me..i dropped my car off, picked it up 2.5 hrs later. I had the opportunity to use A+Tires to fix a water leak on my 2003 Suburban. The price was more than fair but more important than that, they were very courteous and took the time to accurately diagnose my problem. They got it right and in a timely manner. Just left Barnes Auto and wow what an honest and professional owner and crew. We are traveling through Brunswick and my truck steering wheel went to the 10:30 position. It was driving me crazy. I tried another national chain tire store up the road however they tried their best to rip me off and pull a scam. Bob at Barnes was extremely honest and told me nothing was wrong with my truck other than the alignment was out. He also noticed that my tire pressure was extremely low. I had just check it before going to the national chain tire store. Bob Barnes is a true honest professional man with integrity. He fixed what the other shop messed up and his prices are extremely fair.

Great shop with great people! I had a very small puncture in one tire causing a slow leak. A different shop told me I would have to replace the tire (which only had 10k miles on it). A Plus very quickly checked the tire and did a patch without any issues. In fact they charged half the price of the other shop I had check the tire. Will always go here first in the future!

This is one of the friendliest repair shops youll ever find anywhere, as Bob and Tammy are special people. Ive known Bob for many years, as he is always running here and there around the shop, as he stays busy going from one job to the next, lining up jobs for his workers, listening to customers as they come in to describe what problems they have or think they may have, as he will go out and take a look for himself, and he has a sense of humor that youll not find in many places, as myself, I really like someone like this. I mean, when something is messing up, you can act all sad about it, or you know something is bound to happen sooner or later, so why not just just try to make the best of it and have a great attitude about it, as it CAN be repaired ! But there is one really wonderful thing about this place, Bob will not rip you off ! He is really down to earth, he has a wonderful sense of humor and stays in great spirits every time I have seen him, so when the next customer comes in, he is the same way with them. He will always give his honest opinion about something. I called from my home, asking if he could mount a set of tires for me, as he said Yes for me to come on over and he would work me in, even though he had a full day already planned. And sure enough, he did the job and did it right. His workers were the same way, as they were grilling each other as they worked, joking with each other about which one was the best looking, as I was laughing the whole time. And Tammy has a wonderful personality, as these are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet when you need your vehicle looked at, or worked on. So if youre traveling up or down I-95 or are local around the Brunswick GA or surrounding area, or if you happen to be a drag racer passing through on the way to a drag race with a vehicle on the way to a race somewhere North or South and need a part or a tune-up, especially on a Chevy, this is the place to come, as Bob loves Chevys and is a drag racer himself. And if you have a Ford or Dodge, get ready to be heckled a little, but he will still help you any way he can ! In my opinion, they dont get any better than people like these folks.

Great shop and made a hectic time less stressful! My car broke down on a trip to the Golden Isles and Kester and his mechanics were able to diagnose the problem. Unfortunately the shop from Jacksonville wasnt able to get the parts into town until the next day. Kester was willing to drive us to a hotel, but we had to get to back to our home that was three hours away. Luckily we knew someone in Jacksonville that could help us out there.We werent able to get back down to the shop until the next weekend, and A+ watched my car for that period and garaged it at night. They ran drove it to make sure my car could make the journey. It has been running great since. They are experienced, have reasonable prices, and are honest. Brunswick is lucky to have this shop. Took my car and paid 1200 dollars to get everything fixed just to get it back and my glove box be broken and now my ac and heater are making a horrible sound. Cant run either one without a constant roaring. There really nice people hoping they will fix my problem without charging me out the ass.

A+ Tires handles all my car care needs. A+ Tires LOF Gold vehicle maintenance program keeps my car running at its best. When I had car trouble on the entrance ramp to I-95, I called A+ Tires, and they had a tow truck there in record time. As a woman I no longer fear taking my car to the shop as long as the shop is A+ Tires.
