This is primarily a used bookstore, but WOW what a bookstore! There are two floors of very well organized books, and the prices are great. If youre trying to live a little more sustainability, consider used - youll save resources and some money in addition to supporting a local business. If youre a book lover, give yourself at least an hour or two to explore.

Absolute nerd paradise. I bought the entire Metro 2033-35 trilogy used for like $15, some of the older Halo books as well... but they got games, movies, CDs and records, a full bookstore upstairs, collectibles, Pops... you name it

Thanks for reminding me how much I love a good bookstore! Its been over 8 yrs since I went into a bookstore, not since I got my Kindle. I went here looking for kids (a 2 yo and 9 yo) books for birthdays and Christmas. I spent hours in here. It took me a while to figure out their organization, especially for young adult books. They do new and used books. It was also a bit difficult to find an employee to look up if they had a particular book. Thats why the 4 stars.

I used to really like this place for finding some old games, but after my purchase today its becoming increasingly difficult to defend the mistakes Ive discovered here. The first one was a sega genesis that was bundled with the wrong power cable. Even after buying the correct power cable online, the genesis was dead anyway. Lovely. But today I found a game called Phantasy Star IV which is pretty rare to find anywhere but online. So I bought it right away, and popped it in after getting home only to find out that it was one of those 100-in-one game cartridges that you can buy online for about 10 bucks, but with a phantasy star label on it. I cant begin to explain how disappointed I was.So it seems they will buy nearly any game or console, and not test them before putting them up for sale. Even if the price tag is $75.If youre going to shop here make sure to keep your receipts, and inspect used items before buying. Because it seems they dont.

Second & Charles is hands down the most comprehensive 2nd hand store for a variety of Pop culture necessities. Books, Vinyl,Comics,Videos & Toys from all generations are packed into these Nerd Havens. I almost never leave empty handed and always find more than I was looking for.

The place is alright. Can feel kind of crowded sometimes but is a neat place to try to find some off the wall stuff. Out of print books, movies, albums, comics, etc... can sometimes be found here.Not necessarily the best place to find something specific but a decent place to browse.

It’s a great store full of great finds. BUT when my father politely turned down the magazine subscriptions the cashiers are forced to ask about by saying that he didn’t have time to read books AND magazines the cashier snarkily retorted with “not with that attitude.” I know the cashiers get paid a bonus for every subscription they sell, so perhaps they feel personally insulted by a “no” but being that pushy and rude to a customer is a great way to lose a customer for good.

Really low offers of the books I took in. The resale on them were valued at $400 and they offered me $27.00 I just took them back and sold them on eBay for $350.00 wouldnt recommend for resale offers. But have a great selection of Nik Nacks

2nd and Charles was epic. Great selection of music and books. We spent 2-3 hours here. Absolutely love the store.

My wife and I are cleaning out a property for a friend who has years of items built up in the house. We had a mass amount of books that we needed to get rid of and heard of 2nd & Charles purchase program from a friend. We took all of the books there and thankfully the store had flat carts for us to use. We rolled all of our books in and the lady at the buyback counter was very receptive to us and wasnt bothered by the number of books we brought in. We put all of our books in their bins they provide for processing. She had to search for and bring us more bins which she was really sweet about. She processed us in her system and stated that with the number of books that it would take several days. The lady was very kind and helpful. Surprisingly I received a call the next day stating they were done and I could come in to receive their offer. I went to their store the next day and was told they could give me $114 cash or $208 in store credit and that they had 5 bins to return to me. I was happy with their offer which was fair for the type of books and condition. She gave me a ticket to get the money from a cashier. The 5 bins they didnt want I told them to put in their free bin outside their front door. I appreciate the system 2nd & Charles has for buying back items which goes beyond books and the good customer service I received. I will definitely use their services again.

For Music, instruments and maybe books this place is pretty good. However, if your looking for video games, controllers, and accessories they have the used part marked a high as buying it new (and in some cases even more then new)

We went in looking to buy games for an old gameboy advance that my son was given. We found tons of good games and all the employees that we spoke with were super nice and helpful. Will definitely go back.

They have a lot of cool stuff, but its all overpriced. You can buy a lot of this stuff brand new for their used price. Theyre a rip off when you try to sell stuff. Example, theyll give you a nickel for something and turn around and sell it for 40 dollars

Theres wide variety of mediums, books, dvds, games, multiple forms of music.The only down side are the pices of the used retro games they are kind of high especially compared to other places in the area.

Ive only been to one other 2nd & Charles and this one is much nicer. Its big and has a lot of things for fairly affordable prices.Everyone was very nice and helpful.

A bit out of my way but always worth the 45 minute drive, soooo well organized! Found a stuffed bear for my nephew and a board game for the family.I end up parking at the Sonic ten minutes from here for a drink and a read.Heck, make that a date with someone special or a day with friends!

Good store for used books, used modern and classic video games. Went in looking for instant cameras and video games. The gentleman at the buy back counter was very helpful in helping us look for specific games and cameras.

Never been to one of these before, and i was surprised! Its probably the coolest bookstores Ive ever been; totally blows Barnes and Noble out of the water. Ill have to go here everytime i want a new book. Everytime i go in there i find something new, my only regret is there a lil pricey xD but LEAGUES better than B&N. Totally reccomend, would shop again (to get the book i had to leave behind because i couldnt afford it that day)

This place is actually pretty rad. They had board games, movies , old gamer stuff like ps3, ps2, Wii...ect on top of that tho they have amazing book selection with a pretty nice sized comic area to.Would recommend if you are in the area.

To note, I have had generally good experiences with the employees, everyone is nice and considerate, the manager is great, and I love the used book business model. But the magazine scam that they run has ensured that I will never return to a 2nd and Charles again. Three months ago, I had my arm twisted into setting up a free three month trial of a magazine. The guy at checkout would not take no for an answer and would not let me pay until I signed up for the service. I did not give them any credit card information and there was no verbal exchange letting me know that I was signed up for a paid subscription. Did not tell me that I had to cancel anything. Did not tell me that I would be charged at a later date. I am guessing they got my credit card info from my book purchase and had me accept something without telling me what it was? On top of that, the process to cancel the subscription is a horrendous garbage fest that took my only night off this week. I did not complain at first because they peddle this malpractice with 15 dollars of in store credit, which you think you will get with your receipt. Conveniently, the guy at the counter forgot to mention that it would arrive three months later. In the mail. With magazines that I do not want. At least, he did not tell me until AFTER I was set up for this filth. I am sickened that a company I love participates is such a scummy practice. To the higher ups at 2nd and Charles, I hope the thousands of future dollars and friends, that I will now turn to other corporations, were worth the small handful of change that you made from tricking me. They have both new and used options. I will go again; there are some real gems in this store. Everything from LOTR to Einsteins Theory of Relativity Papers to archaic history tomes. Good selection of children and tween books as well.

We all love this stuff. Theres a great selection of books and I particularly like the kids book section. Theyre also gifts and music theyre just I never changing supply of fun things to look at.

Wide and varied selection of comics, video games, board games, videos and music in every format, figures, and toys. Came here for free comic book day 2019 and had a blast.

Really good deals, especially on th he patio. Excellent gear geek repair lab and resale, retail and retail. Old games are fun too! Sheet music is awesome, but instruments on the upscale. The staff Ive met have been about 50/50 in knowing how to use a cash register. Not a place to go in a hurry anyway. Supper friendly and nerdy. . .just the way I like my record stores.

Oof the customer service here is next to your worst experience at the dmv. Many of the employees are pretty nice but one employee who works behind the electronics counter with short hair is absolutely atrocious. I wish it was a better experience but I’d rather be driving out of of Denver during rush than go back because of her. Smdh

Up to date selection of current trends and Nerd pandering. If you want a wide variety of largely surface level nerd hobbies its excellent.The book section upstairs is more than diverse, the music selection is top notch, the movies are reasonably priced, the video games seem to span everything from 1994-now, and the knick-knacks strewn about make the whole shop look like a roided up Hot Topic, for better or worse.

Pretty awesome selection of goods at this location! Super happy with their customer service as well. The fact that they dont use plastic bags is also a great plus for the environment!

This is such an awesome store. You literally cant just go in there and right back out. There SOOO MUCH to look at and shop for. My favorite is the movie section. They sell 100s of used dvds & bluerays from the most popular ones to that hard to find thriller from back in the day. 2nd fav is the music section, WOW I mean seriously wow. They have 1000s of LPs & CDs so cheap you want to buy them all. Then theres a whole 2nd FLOOR just for the library. Every book you can think of and then some. They have toys from movies, candy, snacks, etc.... You have to see this huge store for yourself. Right next AMC & P F Changs.

Advertised as a used book store, but be very careful and read all signage. Many signs say starting at, new or gently used books are shelved with used books and you will be charged full price.

Wow. I had no idea this place existed. I have been relying on Black & Read for my used book needs (a wonderful place, btw) but this place is something else. Very organized and a great selection. Catholicism has its own little division which was nice to see, often times it is not broken out of the broader Christianity area and that can make finding anything quite difficult. I bought two books from there this trip.Loads of other collectible type stuff (from vinyl to comics to all kinds of cards and figures) for those not interested in the written word.The only negative is the nasty bathroom. My picture does a poor job of putting you there. Think whiffs of stale urine and odd dripping noises. Im glad I can do it standing up.

I love this store. If youre a book worm its awesome. Last time I was here I bought a book by an author I love for 2 dollars hard cover. This time I bought 5 books for 15 and they have tons of cool collectibles (bags, funko coffee cups etc) including disney, harry potter, etc...

Something about being surrounded by books makes you feel at home. Really great and friendly customer service is a huge plus! The prices are satisfactory. Books and games are plenty.

This is my favorite 2nd & Charles location and I wish it was closer to my home. The selection here is amazing. Ive seen things here that wouls seem to be more at home in a antique shop, vintage book store, or the coolest record shop youve ever been in.Can you guys teach the Littleton location how to do what you do? That location is about 30 minutes closer to me but it has NONE of the charm that this location has.

Some cool stuff in this store. I could spend all my money easily here. Staff is very friendly and very nice but would like to see more customer in their service. They were easily distracted by other staff and made the customers wait, For example while they responded to questions once and a a few other things that came up after. It easily doubled my check out time. Not a huge deal but no apology or even a half hearted excuse for explanation it was as if I just ceased to exist. 3 times it happened during my checkout. I did buy a lot I suppose. But still would of appreciated an apology or for the other staff to of waited or ideally helped with my checkout.... out of all the thing that could of been, it was more of an inconvenience for me but the lady waiting next to check out. It must of seemed like an hour of waiting.

This is a well-organized second hand place. My boyfriend loves this place and returns time and time again. The folks that cashier are always super friendly too.

Of the 3 locations (Littleton, Aurora, Broomfield) I truly believe this one has the best selection. It is always clean, staff is nice and helpful and I love the setup. We can easily spend a few hours here.
