We had some very dusty street work going on, so I put my awnings into vacation mode so they wouldn’t get covered in dust. Improvements to the app are much appreciated!DO NOT hesitate getting these awnings due to cost. They are a high quality product. You get what you pay for!

Love these awnings. Purchased 5 of these for second story windows. They were easy to install with two people. Total time involved in installation was less than 2 hrs for all 5. They are low profile when closed and look great when extended. The automatic features are great and take little time to set up. They are controlled easily manually with the app also if needed. Automatically extend and retract based on sun exposure. Retraction automatic if it gets to windy.

Ordered a pair for my windows that get bright sun in the morning. They did the trick to cover the windows with shade throughout the morning. Not hard to install, easy to connect through bluetooth, and are automatic. No need to worry about them. I get a lot of compliments on them.

A beach front home with a cliff-edge, no shielding trees and lots of sun - what to do??!! Solar awnings were the perfect solution and easy to DIY install. Im a 54 female, competent and quite handy, but I really didnt need to be especially handy to install these awnings. The instructions both printed and on YouTube made sense, all went as directed, all awnings worked right away and continue to work as they should. Im buying more! Seriously!I needed a 2nd person to help me level the brackets and hold in place while attaching. The awning cassettes snap into the brackets and the system auto-initializes. The required app is easy to get and provides full-control of the awnings and the settings. You can set the awnings for automatic extension and retraction or manually control them. I wish Id found these years ago. I cant recommend them highly enough.I felt so lucky that Ben Berghoff picked up the phone and my call. He was incredibly helpful to me in my initial investigation of the awnings, and then with calming me down and walking me through an error I made during install. I yanked off the small black box covering the control-antenna below the solar panels on one of the awnings and bent it sideways. With Ben’s “good news/bad news” calm guidance I was able to bend it back without breaking (good news), but now need to stand fairly close to the awning for full control (bad news) as opposed to across the yard as I can with the other awnings. It was 100% my fault (I wanted to see what it was) and it still works, thank goodness. Note to self – don’t yank.Suggestions:1. order the samples to make sure you get the colors that look best with your home’s paint and trim. For $10 you can order 10 samples of different colors for the fabric and the cassette – it’s fun;2. make sure the exterior wall on which the awning bracket(s) is to be attached is level side to side (I had to shim one end), level the bracket itself, and dont over-drive the screws.

Its so nice to have the sun blocked automatically without me having to lift a finger -- yet I still have beautiful mountain views! It simply extends and retracts on its own schedule (but the app is easy to use and customize the settings if need be). Looks beautiful, fits my window perfect, and matches my home! I HIGHLY recommend Sol-Lux Smart Home Awnings to anyone who owns a home!

Fantastic product. Very high quality design and craftsmanship. Color selection is huge. These awnings are simple to use via the remote app. If you dont want to lose the view outside, but still control the sun glare, this is the product.

We installed our 106 inch awning yesterday in about two hours from opening the box to putting away the tools at the end. Everything was extremely well designed including the packaging with several shim options, the awning itself, and the phone application. Our installation was about 20 feet off the ground and the triple window wide size made placing the awning on the support frame a two person job for about one minute. Otherwise a single person can do all of the required preparation work. Dramatic temperature difference inside with the awning extended - highly recommended!

My back patio window next to our kitchen table has a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains, but the glaring sun forces us to close the curtains every night at dinner, so we lose our view. With our Sol-Lux smart awning, we can keep the curtains open and enjoy our view without sun glare. We liked the product so much that we purchased two additional awnings for our family room, and they have done an amazing job at keeping the heat down during this past summer, even though it has been unseasonably hot in Colorado. In fact, I reset our thermostat to a couple degrees higher, and our home still feels cooler throughout the day...it has really saved on our energy bills this summer!

Just got my Sol-Lux awning installed and it rocks! Perfect fit on my window which is a kinda rare size and it worked right out of the box. No programming needed. My kids think it’s magic. Even though it was kinda pricey, it’s perfect. Nothing else like it around.

The app that accompanies this product doesnt allow you to disconnect the blind when the battery starts beeping. The only way to stop the beeping (about 2 hours per awning) is to remove the awning itself. At 6 foot wide, it is not something that a homeowner can do on their own. Neither their phone number or their chatroom on their website was helpful because it was on a Sunday afternoon.

Love these awnings! Super simple to install, no wiring to run, and they do what they are supposed to do every single day without any thought or interaction. Theyre out when they are supposed to be out and closed when they should be closed. My house is much cooler in the summer and they look beautiful! Highly recommended!
