My car was dripping dark transmission fluid. Could be a broken axle seal, said my long-time trusted mechanic, but we dont do transmissions. So I took my car first to neighboring Active Transmission and Gear. Actives diagnosis: transmission overhaul, $3,800, 3 days work. I got a second opinion from Accountable Auto Care, two blocks away. Diagnosis: broken axle seal, transmission fluid should be flushed/replaced, $700, few hours work. Accountable Auto did the work. They were professional and efficient, and their communication was excellent. I had my car back the same day. 6 weeks later, my car runs well, no drip. Thanks, Accountable Auto Care!

Michelle was so nice and the team went above and beyond checking additional things in their safety check and more importantly telling how much longer I had until I needed to change them instead of trying to sell me on those services now. Example, the mechanic notice Ill need a new oil pan next time, told me I had one more oil change on my filter and that my brakes can go 2 more oil changes. Most importantly the mechanic noticed my break pins were loose and tightened them for me!!! I think I found where I will get all my oil changes going forward!!!

Professional and fair auto repair.

Great customer service. I was traveling from out of state on Christmas Eve and my muffler fell off and was dragging on the ground. Called a few places and no luck. They were all closing. Talked with Michelle at Accountable Auto Care, and she said they would stay open until I got my car to the shop. With some luck a bungee cord and a carabiner I was able to get my car to the shop. Mark took a look and was able to get me out the door and on my way back to my family that was waiting at a local park. They saved the day as I was worried how I was going to get my car safe to drive on Christmas Eve. They went above and beyond

Mark and his team at Accountable Auto Care are great! They did an oil change on my 2018 Prius and included a very thorough inspection, in which they found that the battery and air filter also needed to be replaced. The service was well done and prompt, and their prices were very reasonable - cheaper than Jiffy Lube for the oil change! I highly recommend Accountable Auto Care for all your car maintenance needs!

They are completely honest and transparent, (sometimes the hardest thing to find in a mechanic). I had a serious issue with my cars serpentine belt and had to leave it at a random parking lot. Accountable Auto Care was able to see me the very next day and provided me with an accurate estimate, great service, and did everything possible to leave my car in excellent condition. Im new to the area and I wasnt sure where to go for my oil change. I trusted googles rating of Accountable Auto Care, Inc. and I was very right in doing so! Aaron and the team were very nice and helpful. I went in for a regular oil change and smelly A/C. They found a problem in my car that had probably been there for a few years that had been overlooked. They fixed my stinky A/C and even added a discount to the total cost. A great experience all around and will definitely use them as my go-to auto maintenance center.

I went to get oil change for my 2009 Mazda 3 and Aaron was very patient and knowledgeable in explaining about types of engine oil and maintainence of the car. He also did overall check and condition of the car and gave me a detailed report of the car condition and things I need to keep an eye out. Would go here again.

Mark and his crew at Accountable Auto Care are top notch. I warped my front brakes and roaters after a few mountain trips and my steering wheel was really jerky while breaking. I brought it to Accountable and they gave me a really nice loaner car while they were working on it and they had the job done in under 24 hours. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. I needed new tires. Mark went to pick them up yesterday after I went into the shop. I dropped my car off this morning as soon as they opened, & was even given a car to drive to a work meeting! By the time my meeting was over, the new tires were on my car, and a full inspection had been done. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience:)

Ive been going here for almost four years now and have had consistent top-notch service. Mark and his crew have kept two of my older vehicles running like new. He is incredibly honest about what needs to be done. One time, while getting my tires serviced at a major tire chain, they wrote up a quote for $1800 in critical repairs. I called Mark - he said drop off the car and leave the quote on the seat. When Mark had a look at it, he said he wouldnt do a single thing on their list. With all of my consistent positive experiences, I wont go anywhere else!!

Aaron and his team were absolutely amazing. The car kept giving me a low oil pressure stop engine warning and I was at a loss of whether to keep the car or buy a new one. We have consistently had good experiences with Accountable Auto Care. Not only do they provide good service, they back it up. When an alternator they replaced went bad (manufacturer issue) at a later date, they replaced it free of charge. In addition, they are only interested in providing service that is required. They once spent an hour examining our car to determine whether it needed to have a part replaced. When they did not find anything wrong, they did not recommend we replace anything nor did they charge for their time. We appreciate their trustworthiness.

The short version of this story is that I ended up breaking down about two blocks from accountable. Thinking it was an issue with the fuel line and a relatively simple repair I looked for the closest shop. It turns out that I ended up meeting one of the most professional and caring car repair shops I have ever been in.Most of my interactions were with Aaron. He is an incredibly passionate and enthusiastic mechanic. Not only did it put in the work to figure out what was wrong with my car, but he also wanted to show me how the parts failed to work as intended. His enthusiam was clear in these conversations because he wanted to take the extra effort to help me understand what went wrong, and why he did what he did to my car.As someone who has owned an older car for many years, I have seen at lot of shops. Accountable was by far one of the best experiences I have ever had when I comes to car repair.

I have used Mark and his outstanding auto care for several vehicles over the years. He continues to provide prompt timely actions at a competitive cost.

One word, TERRIBLE. First, I made my appointment, dropped the car off that morning at 6:30 am. It took two days for them to look at it. Left me completely stranded and no apology. Second, if you have a Saturn dont take it there. He did not seem to know the first thing about them. After $400+ in work it still was not fixed. My car was mis-diagnosed with a bad head gasket and I was told that my car had only 2 thousand miles left before it would die. I got a second option which fould no problem with the engine. That was 10k miles ago and my Saturn is still running like a champ. I wont be back to this shop!

I have taken my 1993 toyota to Mark at Accountable Auto since 2007. Mark is a great guy, and very honest. I have had my car in his shop over 6 times ( it is 16 years old, and spent most of its life in northern michigan!), and not once did I feel we was spinning the truth, or over charging me. Mark is honest, and treats my wife and me with respect. He has had opportunities to rip me off due to my ignorance, but he has always been upfront, and has gone the extra mile for my family. He truly is an asset to my community!

They operate like a dealership repair shop in many ways. Very high shop rate for labor and high prices for parts because they only use OEM parts. The amount of labor one is charged seems to be excessive.
