We were remodeling a 1800s house and wanted a custom Island in the kitchen. We met with Tom Bingham and Jane of Lake and Mountain in Brookline, NH and discussed with them the Modern Industrial look that we were going for. We couldnt be happier with the finished product!! The top is customized Zink with the bottom of the seating side made from reclaimed barn boards. With their help, the cabinet side was custom made to fit our needs. It is absolutely beautiful! There were so many choice of materials and stains to choose from. They gently guided us through what we thought was going to be an overwhelming process and helped us achieve the perfect look.In addition to the custom island, we also used Bingham Lumber, (Tom Bingham), for the barn board accent wall in the kitchen and heart pine flooring throughout the entire house. I cant emphasize enough how wonderful the finished products came out and even more so the guidance and professionalism of Tom Bingham.

Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not buy from Lake and Mountian Home under any circumstances. They do shoddy work, charge top dollar, and refuse to take responsibility for poor craftsmanship. We customed ordered an oak table and paid for white glove shipping, totalling $5,400 for only the table, no chairs. Lake and Mountain Home in NH has a shipping contract with Plycon and after 11 weeks to make our table, Plycon delivered a damaged table.Plycon did not call ahead but just showed up. Good thing my neighbor was here to help with the delivery cuz their 2 man team could not handle this wood. The table required assembly but this team threw the top on the base and left. So much for white glove delivery we paid Lake and Mountain Home for. Btw, they tried to hold the table hostage prior to delivery by upping the shipping price another $500. at the last minute when $800 plus had already been paid in full for delivery. It took 2 months for Lake and Mountain Home to agree the table was damaged beyond repair and agreed to pick it up. They again sent the incapable Plycon team. Plycon picked up the table in March and still hasnt delivered the table to the furnishing company in NH. Its been 4 months and Plycon has no idea where the table is.On April 22, we sent the owner of Lake and Mountain Home Tom Bingham a request for our money back.Tom has refused to reimburse us because they blame Plycon for destroying the table during the delivery nor have they brought it back to the store.Neither Lake and Mountain Home or Plycon will answer our calls nor have we been reimbursed. So essentially, weve given them $5,400. for a damaged table we do not have. Were 11 months into this disaster, our dining room is still empty, Tom refuses to communicate at all or follow through with any apts for phone calls, emails, or contact from his attorney. No one wants to take responsibility for the damaged table and both companies feel its ok to screw the customer.Theyve forced our hand now by refusing to communicate and make customer satisfaction a priority. How long would you wait for a dining room table? The end result now is litigation. Well see you both in court.
