By far the best shop combo Ive ever seen! Adorable party supplies for every type of celebration, reasonably priced, and inside- a bakery worth stopping at for every reason. From ready-to-go cakes, custom goodies for a party, gorgeous cupcakes, to every seasonal treat you can think of- party favors has the most amazing bakery. I got a dozen of their seasonal cookies (pictured in a bowl I made up the street at Clayroom!!) and in the process encountered at least 3 people bringing their friends for the best cupcake ever or my go-to dessert place. A party store worth popping into!

On the fence for the bakery. Cake itself isnt very sweet, and the frosting is overly sweet. As if they are trying to make up flavor by over doing it.The way the cakes are decorated is amazing. But the flavor doesnt off set that unfortunately.

If youre having a party and need cakes, desserts or supplies, theres no better place in all of Boston. My absolutely favorite cake in the city. Give them a call a week or so in advance and have them build a custom cake for you; its amazing what they can do and they have really creative suggestions if youre unsure. Need a cake in a hurry? They also have cakes ready for pick up in standard flavors and sizes. They have cookies and cupcakes, cards, paper products and of course party favors. Such a fun place to walk around and the staff is so very helpful. Ive been going there for years and always enjoy a reason to visit again. Parking is a bit tricky being located on busy Beacon Street so you can look for a meter or theres a lot on the side street on the right just after the store.

Party Favors in Brookline, Massachusetts has some of the best cake that we as a family have ever come across.I have several family members who also order cakes from this establishment; we all go years back with ordering cakes and cupcakes from here for birthdays.Since my husband & I eat very healthy 90% of the time, when we come here, we really treat this place in a sacred way since we dont indulge too often.The other day I called in to order a cake for my upcoming birthday celebration.Andrew listened to all of the questions I had, he exhibited a lot of patience and understanding, and he expressed really wanting to make me happy. I told him how I wanted my cake, and he went above & beyond to make sure he comprehended everything.I want to thank Andrew for being such a professional, kind person, and for making me feel heard & respected.

I was a walk in and tried this place for the first time. The chocolate mouse was amazing and probably would be my favorite if I tried every flavor. The man working the counter was super helpful with describing what they had and where they were located in the store. I give them 4.5 stars.

Nice party store but really disappointed with the cupcakes. Every thing looked beautiful in the case and they have a happy hour where cup cakes are 2 for 1 at certain times but even at that price I would not get them again. Cupcakes were very dry and flavorless. So disappointed in the cookie I got, I threw half away.

Favorite place to get birthday cakes in the Boston area. They are reasonable with custom cakes. I have been going here for more than a decade. Recently my wife obtained a custom Norwal cake for our child’s first birthday. It came out great and it tasted great too. Their cupcakes are always good too.

Very full shop with lots of party ideas. However, the employee working when I visited was very curt and seemed bothered by questions I had. Any attempts I made to be polite or friendly were ignored. I will go back for future parties, but I guess Ill just hope I dont need help.

They ARE the best in the area, making true masterpiece cakes - every year for us.On the photo is a Treasure Chest cake for the pirates themed party - every little detail is a perfection, made from fondant or icing. Tasted great as well, this is not out-of-the-box cake mix. Whatever you have in mind - share your idea/email them picture, and they will make it! Sometimes it’s hard to reach someone by email - call them directly, customer service was always great on the phone, they are thorough, and will quote you price right away. Highly recommend.

Party Favors did our single tier cake and cupcakes for our wedding and they were absolutely beautiful. The cake was a painted style with gold flakes that they didnt have pictures of on their site, but assured me they could execute. It was gorgeous! The cupcakes were all topped with frosting flowers and they were so pretty. We also got six vegan cupcakes which were lovely as well. They were wonderful to work with and Id happily use them again for another event.

Went to party favors after scoping it out on my way out of chase bank 2 weeks ago. As soon as me and my friend entered Marshall helped us from beginning to end. he helped answer all of our bad boyfriend/last minute questions and he made it very easy. he knew everything about every product. ribboned us up. i am so happy i went with my instinct and stopped here first. i just moved to boston and i love shopping local. I lived in Brookline after college and fell in love with Party Favors for their most amazing cakes and cupcakes. Fast forward... We now live in Natick, with 2 teenagers and Party Favors is still our “go to” for all celebratory occasions!They did the most magnificent cupcake tower for our wedding back in 2002. People still talk about the artistic display and delicious cupcakes. We used them for baby namings, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, anniversaries, countless birthdays (every birthday in fact). They created the most beautiful cupcake tower display for my daughters Bat-Mitzvah in 2018, and even in a pandemic, they created awesome logo cupcakes for my sons Bar-Mitzvah which was this past November. So much history. Thursday is our daughters Sweet 16! Never did I imagine a place I would frequent in my early 20’s living in Brookline, would become a “family tradition.” They never disappoint. You know exactly what you’re getting. Kudos to Michael (owner). We need any excuse to celebrate and reasons to eat cake. 🎂 💜 🧁

Party Favors is not open to their customers. They change their mind if they let you shop or not on opening day. Im usuay all for supporting mom and pops small businesses but when you literally have the door slamed in your face its a deal breaker for if im going to support them again. I was surprised becuse I know many people who use their bakery service for kids birthdays. I dont like writing a review like this on the first instance. Previous occurences include being overcharged, and also the casheer didnt know how to process credit payments. I made a special trip 2 days ago and they had a notice on their door that they were closed till Friday. When I returned Friday morning and waited in line for 15 min. They told me they were closed snd slammed the door in my face. A little notice would have been comsiderate before I made a special trip.

Best place for any kind of sweet treat and the other side has everything you need as far as decorations for any occasion. Plus cards and gifts its party heaven right in Coolidge Corner. Now they have summer flavors for cupcakes that all make you drool a little, but I kept it to one it was a cherry lemonade and the frosting was whipped so it was nice and lite and the cherry was inside but that was lite too not like a jelly. It was definitely a summer treat

Who doesnt like a penguin cupcake? They even put a party hat on it. Even more, the had dairy free frosting for our allergic friends. Party Favors does a solid job.

I had a funny encounter recently, because it just baffles me when a business hires rude employeesThe man that worked the cake stand was very rude to me and my 65 year old mother.He was adamant on not helping us and very rudely and loudly asked if we were the next ones in line, there was only one other lady who was waiting (who was very nice and wasn’t fussed at all about the situation), so the staff made a big fuss out of thin air, cause there were three people working the counter, so even if I wasn’t next in line (which I was), it’s not like the other customer was gonna wait, she would have been served RIGHT AWAY. He eventually helped her and we got a nice lady who helped us!I think in this economy, no business can afford to be rude.. All in all, I didn’t enjoy my experience and even if they had the BEST cakes (I have yet to try them), I won’t be going backUpdate: I have tried the cupcakes and some of the other treats, and they taste like sugar, nothing more! Bought a 9×13 sheet cake. The cake was plain, surprisingly dry for a freshly made cake. The only good part was the decorations. But the cake was way over priced, ($$100.00 and change). Sorry to say, but very disappointed. Ive bought cakes here in the past, but this one was not nice3 months later, I ordered a chocolate cake at whole foods. A quarter of the price ($27.00). I requested the same flowery decorations. It was absolutely beautiful, and extremely moist and YUMMY!! If you want to pay 50%-75% less and be guaranteed a great cake I suggest whole foods. I went to the one at fresh pond. Lots of different kinds.

I got the petite cupcakes from here, the chocolate mousse one hardly had any mousse in it, the icing was toooo sweet even for someone like me who loves the icing. definitely not buying again and not worth the price. the people at the counter are just doing a mechanical job with no interest in the customers or an intent to help.

Although they have a large selection of party supplies, the primary reason to visit Party Favors is the cakes and cupcakes. The cakes and cupcakes are always fresh and piled high with frosting. They can also create a custom cake for you, with whimsical themes such as a pool party, a pirate ship, and more. Even just their plain cakes steal the show due to their high quality frosting and cake.

I recently decided to visit Party Favors for a dessert with a friend. I ordered a red velvet cupcake and my friend ordered a nutella cupcake. My cupcake was old and stale and was the worst cupcake I have ever had. My friends cupcake had a cake that was a better texture but the frosting ended up being hard and very grainy. We ended up throwing out the cupcakes. Overall, the experience was very disappointing. I hope this was just an off day for the bakery department because the store is a nice addition to Coolidge Corner. At least the two people working at the counter were very friendly which slightly made up for the cupcakes.

I’ve been ordering my cakes from here for years and sadly the last 3 cakes I have ordered was all done wrong I pay almost 2 hundred dollars for each cake and they never get the cake right the last cake was for my 2year old and the whole cake was done wrong it wasn’t nothing I asked for on top of that I picked up the cake at 1pm the party wasn’t till 5:30pm we cut the cake around 7:30pm and the whole time the cake was out on the table and when I cut threw it it was frozen all in the middle 😡 this place went from the best to the worst in 1year and I would never recommend this place to anyone 1star is too many

Nothing beats the cakes from Party Favors! When we lived closer we picked up cakes for every major celebration from there. Now were further away and cant make it there as often, but would if we could.

I have loved this place since I first moved to the Boston area. They have made my birthday cakes for the last few years and I just finished one for this year as well. I have read the reviews about how bad the customer service is, but I have always been greeted warmly and everyone has aways been helpful.

Unfortunately I had an extremely bad experience with Party Favors recently. I called for a very expensive ($150) custom cake for my sons 5th birthday party that was to be picked up on Sunday. The person who took the order did not inform me that the store was not open on Sunday, so when I showed up they were closed. I instead had to go buy a $20 cake from the supermarket which I should have done in the first place. I promised my son a minion cake, his only request for his birthday which he unfortunately didnt get. I am extremely disappointed with the service and the aww well I see here it says Saturday so oh well I received on the phone and will never shop at this store again.

I have been buying custom cakes and party supplies since my #1 nieces christening. That was 25 years ago. My #2 niece and my nephew all got their cakes here and I continue to buy them . I wont mention the family birthday cakes , wedding cakes , and holiday cakes I bought here too, theres just too many of us. Ive NEVER had a bad experience with the products. Always beautiful , fresh , and delivered on time . I too was also spoiled by the incredible managers that have long since retired , as customer service meant everything. I do agree that some of the current staff need better instruction with customer service as well as the products available , but with people on board like Chris it may just take a polite conversation with him to straighten out the issue or employee. Dont slam this place for a few part-timers looking to make some extra cash for school. Go back , ask to speak to Chris or 1 of the other dedicated employees and I bet everything gets taken care of ! !
