I was in serious need of an oil change and who knows what else. At the end of my day when I least want to stop and get it done, I called Midas and the guys there were extremely helpful! I was able to get in before they closed, even though I was kind of on the late side. They still made sure that everything was checked and all set before letting me head out. I dont typically go here but it was both convenient and quick. Thanks!

I came in with a low tire and the gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful, especially given that they were busy and I showed up unannounced. They took my car in and I was in and out within an hour AND they only charged me $30 to fix a small hole in my tire. Awesome service and will definitely go back!

Made appointment, they seemed pretty nice. I left with a bad wheel alignment, and I payed for an alignment.I have to wait extra 2 hours because the guy who does the alignment wasnt there. If they couldnt do it why make the appointment and charge me for it? The worst part is I didnt feel taken care of. They just looked at me like theres not much we can do

Didnt have the decency to tell me what was really wrong with my car. Had my car sitting there the whole day of Saturday and never touched it. I really dont want to give this midas any stars but I had too. Please dont take your car here if you need any repairs. The mechanics dont call to tell you whats going on with your car and have you thinking all day that they fixing it but they couldnt get the part. They are full of lies. DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR REPAIRS.

TERRIBLE.forgot to put the motor cap back on and my motor does not work anymore will have to change the motor because of them. When i called back to talk about the damages that they did they treated me with complete disrespect, the guy that was on the phone was rude, grumpy, incompetent.TOTALLY INCOMPETENT PROFESSIONAL.

I watched the guy incorrectly change my oil. They did not take out the old oil and did not put in a new oil filter. They simply put new oil in with the old oil.

I went in with my Jeep and a rattle around the muffler that sounded like the heat shield was loose. A guy there (named Charlie) took a look and confirmed my guess. Then, a different guy came out with paper foot mat and plastic liner to protect the seat, and drove it in and put it onto a lift. Then, about 10-15 minutes later I was told it was fixed. They removed the heat shield as it was broken and not necessary. It only cost $25 total!Friendly, professional and courteous people that provide a great value and service to the community and neighborhood.

Went in because my left driver side tire was low according to the sensors. I checked and it was fine. Made an appointment with midas to figure this out. Turns out my tires were rotated but the system was never reset. My front tire was low which makes much more sense. They figured this out quickly and didnt charge me. Highly recommend midas of brookline.

I did not get the chance to read the reviews before coming here as my car broke down a few miles from this shop and i had no choice at the time. so when i finally did get a chance i was a bit nervous as i read countless reviews of the awesome manager named harry and then a few negative ones in between. it didnt make sense at the time - the contrast of reviews. Now that my vehicle is back on the road - i will say this: there is nothing negative at all anyone can say about harry and his team. what they do here to repair cars and help people is nothing short of miraculous. it is almost magic. This shop is very small, seems like it should only be capable of doing maybe 10 cars at a time. but they are constantly taking in cars and people who trust in them for their repairs and they do not mind the wait because this is probably the only honest repair shop in the entire new england area. everyone i met here had a great attitude and they all were so happy to follow the orders and directions of their captain harry. sitting there for several hours (my car was pretty broken) i was able to watch this man plead with parts places for help, ask his technicians if they were okay doing certain actions that were above and beyond the scope of their job description - all to help the customer save money and time! i couldnt believe how this man actually favored helping save the customer money over making a huge profit. i watched this man crawl under a car, do a simple FREE repair on someone im guessing is a long time customer, negotiate a hundreds of dollars savings to another client, explain thoroughly to me the problems with my car (i am no car expert, but i felt so comfortable with his explanations), answer several calls - all in a 5-10 minute span. then i find out he is not even the owner! i cant wrap my head around how lucky this corporation is to have such a hardworking, likeable, and honest man. i was so delighted and impressed that i gave the man a 500 dollar tip (he saved me atleast 2400 from the dealerships phone quote). after adamantly refusing several times to take the money, i watched as he made sure all his employees got some of the money i was happy to give. you can tell they all love this man. it would be a huge disservice if i did not declare to the world this mans existence in our community. shame on all the people leaving those nasty reviews that are very obvious an effort to damage a places reputation because of their own nasty agendas!

A hidden gem. Made an appointment for an oil change which was still respectfully honored even though I arrived late. Customer Service is obviously emphasized - the manager Kieth took the time to answer ALL questions and more. All the techs there are amazing. I highly recommend!! For all your auto needs.

Great service! I called and got an appointment on short notice for new brakes. Harry was excellent and helped me find the best deal I could. He even fixed my broken car key while he had my car just to be nice (yes he fixed the key for free!). I would totally bring my car back here for future work.

Do not go here!!!!!! I brought my car here for a time up. They change my spark plugs now my cars misfiring like crazy. Not to mention new noises from my car was not there before. Never gave me info on my check engine light as well! On top of that they wrote my odometer wrong, now on my Carfax report says it was serviced 20k miles ago. Never agian will I go to Midas.

I came to this Midas after hearing a strange scraping sound coming from my rear brakes. They did an assessment and told me the cost and it was much more than I would have thought. I told them I would pay to do what was critical right now, but I would have to wait longer for the other things that were also crucial, but not as critical. Then they saw I was a nurse. They later called me to tell me they added additional significant discounts off of labor costs, so that I could afford to get everything done that I needed and not have to worry about the finances. They did not need to do something that generous, but they did out of the kindness of their hearts. They said they know everyone is working incredibly hard right now during this crazy time (i.e., COVID-19), and they wanted to lighten my burden in any way they could. Again - INCREDIBLY NICE and something they did not need to do! They just wanted to! I would highly recommend this Midas. Good people work here.

Friendly and helpful! After my car battery died, I called and they verified that they had the right battery in stock before I got a jump and drove down there. They told me up front how much it would be to have them change it and offered that I could change the battery myself in the parking lot if I would prefer. While I was working on it, they came out to check on me and make sure I was getting along OK, which I very much appreciated!

This is officially my new place when it comes to my familys car maintenance!! As soon as I walked in Harry greeted me with a big smile and took care of everything for me! He was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure my car was in great condition. He made sure I was done on time to pick up my son from school which I really appreciated. Had my brakes done here. 1st time there was an issue with how the guy installed them. Brought it back to have that fixed. They fixed that problem but now there is an issue with them squealing. Now I have to bring it back for a 2nd time when I shouldn’t have to bring it back at all. Don’t let the reviews of this place fool you, they do bad work. Lesson learned, will have brakes done at dealership next time.

Harry, the owner and operator of the place, is a great guy and very talented. The one thing that people dont realize is that Midas doesnt do just mufflers and oil changes, they do every kind of auto repair work.I went there for problems with air with my conditioning and found out it really wasnt my air conditioning but instead my alternator and they took care of everything at a very reasonable price. Cant say enough good things about the place. Very trustworthy and talented.

When you think of Midas you probably also think mediocre or moderate. You might be wrong, you might not, but one thing Harry at Brookline Midas is not, is either of those.Harry actually shows compassion and care towards his customers and employees. He ensures he provides the best deals he can offer at the time, and he does not disappoint. They may not have been able to fix my tire but they were able to still gain a customer. If he always treats his customers like this then he deserves a raise.

I went in for an oil change on a very busy Saturday. I had a reservation so was in and out in just over an hour. Without an appointment, I think I might have been asked to return at a less busy time. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable (I heard conversations with other customers) and polite. At the end, I was told of a few issues that needed watching but was not told that I had to have something done right away. I am always suspicious when I bring in my car and am told something HAS to be done immediately. Instead, I was told I seem to keep my car in good condition. This Midas seems to operate as a full service garage for many people as I heard the owner talking to people he knows by name and who seem to like and trust him for major issues. This Midas was a good find for me.

I moved here from out of state and was nervous to find a new mechanic as my last mechanic was a trusted friend. The guys at Midas have taken care of me the whole time Ive been here. They look for ways to make it less expefor me but still went me to get the most quality parts. They are extremely friendly and I recommend them to anyone who is looking for help with their car!

I have visited this location several times now for my car repairs. I continue to be impressed by harry and his staff. I have heard the way he has spoken to other customers, as well as his staff and he is nothing short of professional and honest. This location doesn’t come off as just another shop out to take your money. I know this because I sat in the waiting room listening to how harry approaches every customer and car, makes phone calls for better parts pricing, and ask his technicians in detail about the cars they are working on. This shop may not be the cheapest, but it’s definitely not over priced and well worth it to not pay for things you don’t need. They will honestly tell you when you don’t need something or if it can wait until later. In the last year, I have saved hundreds of dollars from dealer estimates for the same repairs. There is a reason why this place stays busy, it’s because they are trusted, honest, efficient and explain things for you to understand things that other shops won’t. I definitely recommend this shop and I will never let any of my family or friends go anywhere else but here.

I drive here from VA and have the engine checked as there is alarm on the dashboard. They help me to check the engine and tell me there is nothing to worry since it is all about exhaust system. The engine is running well. So I can continue my trip. They are very kind and really help me out.

However I paid the advertised price and the manager claimed I should have to pay a higher price since it was a Mercedes, to reflect the dealerships hourly rate which I believe is ridiculous. My car was making a high pitched squeaking sound. I didnt think it could be my breaks since I had the dealership where I leased my vehicle install breaks just last November. My friend recommended I check out Midas in Brookline since she recently had a good experience and felt she got a fair deal. Keith and Harry both diagnosed the problem immediately and without even lifting my car into a bay, they could see both front and back breaks were in need of replacing. I couldnt believe it!! I had spent over $700 last year just on my back breaks. They took my car in and told me to come back in a few hours. They were nice enough to show me how the last breaks were installed incorrectly and suggested I go back to my dealership, with the Midas diagnosis and invoice, to try and get some money back.The pricing was so fair and the customer service was prompt, professional and friendly. I would not hesitate to bring my car back here in the future.

Great shop they definitely knew what they were talking about brought my own custom exhaust and they installed it beautifully while under my car they found some worn suspension parts I missed and thankfully they did as I passed my inspection same day with their help will continue to return everyone was so helpful

Went there to change my brake pads and also to show my right fog light (it was not working). Just because i had a coupon i choose to go there but he still priced me over. And to my surprise those were also not the brand new pads. he just installed some cheap quality pads. And the best part comes here.. i asked him to check my fog light. he said i need to replace the bulb. And i said ill do it later. when i got the car there was no fog light thing. there was nothing. when i argued about it, he said there was no such thing when i bought the car. even the manager denies it. He did said to me the bulb is not working and now he is denying the fact that there was a fog light. Worst place. Hated it,.

It did take them over an hour and a half for a routine oil change but after I had made the manager Harry aware of the situation he got right back to me and told me he would take care of my next scheduled oil change for any inconvenience i had experienced

Totally liar and please dont ever go there if you dont want to be threatened. Totally rude and with no manner. They promised to replace for me an exactly the same tire but in fact they just fooled customer around.

I went in for an oil change and to replace a break sensor. After three hours the work was done. When I got home they called me to let me know they forgot to do the oil change! I went back first thing the next morning. They changed my oil and scratched my car!!! A 16 inch scratch down the rear quarter panel. I immediately let the manager (Yogi) know about the damage. He denied that it was his employees, said there isnt anything in the garage that can scratch a car, that it was on the lift the whole time and couldnt be scratched. He didnt even ask the employees. When I pressed him he said to contact the main office and this is why they have insurance. The insurance guy told me they have video and will get back to me. Two weeks later he said they dont have to release the video and its my word against theirs. I just filed in small claims court for the repair costs. Avoid this place like the plaque. Update: I won in court for $1200. What a huge waste of time!!!
