The visitsI make to this Walmart varies. For in store the associates are nice and helpful when you go inside. On the other hand if we order they say theres substitutions. If youre going to have it on your site to order it make sure you have it. If not take it off.

Store was clean and organized. Staff have been consistently helpful. It is always a pleasant shopping experience. Thank you all for your hard work! Special mention to the lady helping at the self-checkout. She seems to watch carefully and almost anticipates my issues. Very nice.

Its Walmart...not unlike any other Walmart. Nothing special. However, I would avoid driving any sort of nice vehicle to this particular Walmart out of a very real fear of losing it completely to the MASSIVE potholes in the parking lot. Ive seen bomb craters that werent as deep and wide as these things were. If you drive a little car in this lot youre not getting away undamaged, I promise. Youve been warned.

Absolutely ridiculous! 2 cashiers working and one side of self checkouts working! People were lined up at least 20 deep waiting to check out. Left my items in cart and left.

Update. Construction is done and it is no better.. This is the closest Walmart to us and we try and avoid going here. They never have the shelves stocked. When they started closing early to stock shelves and clean that was a joke. Everytime we go in there are boxes everywhere but nothing on the shelves. It is a hit or miss if what youre looking for will be there. I get it is like this everywhere since Covid but this Walmart seems to be the worst when it comes to keeping anything stocked.We shop at this Walmart quite often since it is the closest one to us. Right now it is under construction and it is really hard to find what you are looking for. Hopefully when they are done it will be a better shopping experience. Most of the time, they are stocked with items. The cleaner section is pretty bare and has been since Covid started. They have a bakery, pharmacy, order pick up, and an auto center. There is some staff that is really friendly and others are not. They do seem to keep closing doors. As of today, you can only enter and exit through the door by the produce. Makes the parking lot a nightmare over there. I went through the self check out and the lady working was really nice and pleasant and she washed down each station after they were used. When college is in, the store is a lot more packed and seems busier since it is right across the street. We try and do all of our shopping early to miss more crowds if we can. There is a Runnings, Lowes, car dealership, Perkins, Culvers, Taco Bell, and a hotel all in the same area where you pull in and out so it does get quite congested sometimes trying to get around.

The condition of the parking lot is unacceptable. There are MASSIVE potholes on the north end of the lot. They are big enough to do serious damage to vehicles of any size. They are not marked in any way and they have been there for at least the entire summer.

I was in this store with my buddies, and we were talking about who was better LeBron James or Michael Jordan. and we bounced a ball twice and got the whole store called on us plus the police. we did not do anything to deserve this kind of treatment. alls we wanted to do was buy pencils. for this act, we felt unsafe being followed around the whole store and to our car.

Theres always a store full of employees, but only 2 at the check outs. I havent spent less than 30 minutes waiting in line for months. Everyone is very friendly but they need to be more organized!

The new entry doors inside are not great. I tried to go through one that was open and it closed on me and started dinging. Im not sure whats going on with the womens clothes section. I look in the plus section and its not the plus sizes, then in the junior plus I see what I would expect to see in womens plus. The lady that checked me out barely said a word to me. I dont think she even looked at me when she handed me the receipt. I said thank you trying to get her attention and nothing. It wasnt even that busy.

This Wal-Mart is much better than the one in Northern California. People here are much nicer.

Quiet Sunday night this visit. Stock of certain items was low. I was looking at printers, excellent selection but almost none in stock. Parking lot lines are in dire need of repainting. Makes parking difficult.

This walmart in Brookings South Dakota is the worst walmart I have been to the people arent friendly hard to find any help when I have to drive 40 because I was sold a phone but couldnt plug it in cuz he didnt tell me I needed that part so I will never buy a phone there if we had a different store like target that would be my number one stop store

Sort of awkward. She Rushed me to look in the storage containers i bought after i had put them on the scale/bagging area. This means if I Had snuck something in there, like her manner and raised voice Betrayed then it would have had to be Weightless. Maybe they had a series of Helium balloon thefts. Lady, look at our Shoes. A shoplifters shoes will be Disgusting gross, cuz they have nothing to lose. My shoes cost $250 a pair, naot sandals.Im sure walmart has openings in loss prevention or Wrastling hapless customers. Yer wasted as a self service cashier.

The ordering on line goes very well most of the time. One of the things I dont like is receivng dented cans. The employees are always pleasant and friendly. You have made it an easy way to shop.

I only come to this Walmart when I have to! Nobody can help you check out! Was in tonight and 4 workers were just standing around talking and I asked them if someone could please help me check out. Nope had to go through self checkout and still couldnt get help! Not one normal cash register open. Not sure why this one is so bad. They say its because they have no help, well I see why! The 4 standing in front talking were obviously taught not to help customers! I have seen people in wheelchairs have to go through self-checkout with no help!

Had what I needed. Fair price on delo motor oil , also big jugs. No ammo tho.

Almost no associate to assist you with any questions you have. State has lifted the covid restrictions though store doesn’t hire enough to replenish the aisle and has anyone to help. Most checkout counters are now self checkout with just one person supervising / monitoring them. It’s a pity that small businesses got ruined under covid restrictions of the state and cdc while the big ones escaped each one of them and still cut the jobs shouting COVID-19 protocol and increased their profit margins. Later they will come back calling in corporate social responsibility/ giving to the community, mainly to those whose jobs they sacked but in return taking huge incentives from state and federal governments! Think before you buy from them, every penny spent at such stores will make your community poorer !

Walmart here in Mitchell is poorly managed. The front end managers dont do much. If u pass one in the store and ask for help. They say they will be right back and u never see them again. That store really needs new managers all the way around. They hardly ever smile. They are LAZY.......

Can never find a sales associate. Out of alot of products. Keep rearranging store so I spend too much time looking for stuff so I just leave without getting it.

A Wal-Mart employee knew I was looking for something and SHE was a customer helper for me and in good attitude and wish the evening would be like that ..

I asked the manager if they could prove match something for me. She said yes. I bring up my stuff then she said ohh no thats too much of a discount we can do that .. I showed her that is said it was on sale on the app, but in store it was more expensive. She argued with me for 10 minute brought another lady over and she said we dont price match. I looked up corporates number and called right in front of them and said thats fine 🤷🏽‍♀️ if your not going to price match!. Dont say you will!

My wife and I recently completed our Covid vaccinations at Walmart Supercenter in Brookings, SD. Every person on the pharmacy staff that we dealt with over our 2 visits, and phone calls, was FANTASTIC: They were professional, empathetic and courteous. Thank you Brookings Walmart Pharmacy Staff!!

The managers all avoid helping my mom and me when they see me or my mom they turn away and walk away just to not help me or my mom same for most of the workers there that we walk by.

Just an average walmart the only thing that gives this place a bad wrap is the employee restocking and personally shopping have no considerations for the customers and are dedicated that there task is far more important than your shopping experience

Why are they still only open until 830 other businesses are open till 10 -11 pm right around them for a month now come on Walmart man up. July 3rd I was there to grab a few things right before they closedand spent twice as long in line to pay that it took me to grab what I needed. If you make me wear a mask then you better supply it as I will comply if you give it to me. Again I would say mam up Walmart and deal with it better I show up at 1000am and nothing stocked if you are closing to stock early at night why are they stocking the shelves still at 1000 in the morning.

Thanks guys!(Store Mgrs, it would be good to allocate semi-truck parking over on the western edge of your parking lot because its easy to get into and out of over there - would keep most of the truck traffic over on that far side with quick / easy access to the road. I would have to look at it again, but I dont think the far southern portion keeps trucks out of the way of car traffic very well. It also looked like it may impose more maneuvering - not a good thing for big trucks.)

Manager must not be teaching any customer service techniques because not 1 associate was helpful, + grocery aisles are always empty

It has everything it has, and doesn’t have what it doesn’t. No issues with customer service, or employees. All products are what you expect. It’ll have what you need.

Doubt anyone reads these but please explain to me how you guys are so worried about COVID 19 that we all have had to wear masks even without mandate yet you make everyone shuffle in all close to each other through one door? Wouldn’t it be more logical to have all entrances open so there’s more space for social distancing? I’ve been closer to more people then I ever have at this Walmart because of this.

Its a nice store. The layout is nice. Workers I interacted with was very helpful and friendly. Prices seemed very reasonable.

Thank you to the Auto Center team. My Husband and I had a tire quickly losing air and pulled off the interstate and into the Auto Center. 30 minutes we drove out with a new tire and smiles. Can’t say enough about the service the auto team gave us!!

Not enough Gluten free items on shelves and Can never get gluten free soup is it always out if stock. And they use to have gluten free breakfast sandwiches from udis but could not find them either then they stock things that ate organic but not gluten free in the same shelves. Not happy with visit today. BUT will be shopping there again this afternoon hopefully some frozen and shelf gluten free items will be stocked by then.

IIhave to say my recent trip here was awesome I was having a pretty hard day and then had some shopping to do I was dreading it there pricing was surprisingly wonderfully I saved more than expected and the work staff were so helpful in check out my spirits were lifted by my cashier and the manager was right there as I think she was new a refreshing trip after a hard day these smiling faces made my day turn around thanks Brookings walmart .

A decent Walmart not to big not to packed for the most part and usually can get in and out fairly quickly.

Poor, pet supplies except bird feed, please put up digns, wearing masks mandatory is not enforceable. Get rid of it. If I had any other place to shop in Brookings I would. You dont have enough people to restock shelves, why add to the stress of mandatory masks.

Probably the worst Covid-19 planning Im ever seen. Instead of allowing customers to spread out as they left the store they closed the one set of doors and force everyone into a narrow lane to leave the store and since the store was still open for another 30 minutes people were also streaming in the same door. Definitely no social distancing allowed in this Walmart.
