Had, what I consider, a large installation in a Milwaukee bungalow. Full furnace and AC unit replacement, which included three Mitsubishi units in the upstairs. Even with the shortage of AC units due to the sudden heat wave in the Northwest, Gross did a fantastic job, kept me in the loop of any changes and the install crew couldnt have been better. Estimate was the total cost - no upcharges, changes, etc. and installers took the time to walk me through any decisions as they came up.Some companies say they will treat you like family. Gross Heating ARE family. My 5 year old grandson still asks when those nice guys are coming back. Best endorsement I can ever give.Summary - Didnt deviate from estimate. Great installation with great care. Communicative and always kept to their promise. Great crew, who treated the house like it was their house and fantastic interactions. HIGHLY recommend!

Had the ~25 year old furnace and AC replaced and the house addition zoned. Previously, we were never able to get adequate heating and cooling in the 40 year old addition without supplemental electric heating. The heating worked great in -15 degree Fahrenheit weather so that we can remove the electric baseboard heating. Needed an adjustment by one of the owners (Joe) after summer startup on the air flow for the air conditioner (shutting down on too cold temperatures) and the ac has worked well.

Gross is a high quality heating and air contractor Id recommend for any job.They installed a new Unico central AC system in our 1920s Milwaukee bungalow and were thorough and careful with the complex planning and installation. I was especially impressed with the time they took in the estimate phase, coming out to our house twice to ensure they fully understood the architecture and had a detailed plan that fit our needs. Running all new ductwork through an old house is an invasive job, but they were communicative and kept the mess contained throughout the process. The AC has really improved our lives this summer.They also replaced our 70+ year old gas boiler with a new condensing boiler. The new unit heats much more evenly and is significantly quieter than our old gravity-fed system. I was impressed with the speed and expertise with which they replaced the old system. The pipework was done very neatly, leaving plenty of space for the future.Gross is experienced and professional, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them.

We had an issue with a leak in our AC unit due to a clog in our condensation drain line. Randy with Gross came out and was very professional and knowledgeable. In the beginning of February Milwaukee was experiencing extremely cold temperatures and our 17 year old furnace (also installed by Gross Heating) failed. It was getting colder and colder in the house. We called Gross Heating and within an hour, they had a repair person at our house. It was a fairly expensive part that had failed ($837) and since our furnace was nearing the end of its life, the repairman mentioned we should consider replacing it. We contacted a sales person the next day who came out and discussed our options. If we decided to replace our furnace and AC, Gross would reimburse us for the cost of the $837 part as well as credit us for the thermostat we had replaced months earlier. They were extremely fair and yesterday we had a new furnace and AC (the outdoor unit will be installed in spring) installed. The 3 men were here from 7:15 AM until 2:30 PM. They put cloths down in order to not dirty our carpets, they wore their masks, and they cleaned up after themselves. Very professional all the way around. Thank you Gross Heating!

Randy came out to our home and performed maintenance on our boiler. He provided excellent service and was professional. I have used Gross Heating multiple times in the past, and to be honest, their service is just superior!

Gross Heating and air conditioning is always very professional. We were concerned that something was wrong with our furnace. We spoke to a professional that night who was able to tell us that it was not an emergency and they would call the next morning which they did. A service person came right out. The issue was quickly resolved. The service person was very kind and knew what he was doing. I appreciated that they did not try to claim something was an emergency at a higher cost and gave us sound advice that night. In the end, it cost us less to have it fixed the next day and it was done right away with no issues. We have always been happy with them and would recommended them to others.

The person who scheduled my annual maintenance said it should be about 1/2 to 3/4 hour since it was a hydronic system and about $70. The maint person milked the time to almost an hour. I swear that they set the clock when they were driving over here. Then sat in the vehicle for another 5 mins before coming into my home. After the work? was done, they sat in the vehicle another 10 minutes. They logged almost ONE HOUR of work. Total bill - $147. BS to that.

We had a complete new heating system put in. The 2 men did a fantastic job. Compared to the 30 year old boiler that we had, I told the men that the new piping and wall hanging boiler looks like a work of art! Since this was a 2 day project, the company provided multiple space headers for our use. They also completely cleaned up after the project. I would highly recommend their services.

We had a problem with our hot water heat in the Fall, as the baseboard radiant heat in 1/3 of our house was not working. Their rep came out to fix the problem. I understood there would be a trip charge. He came out and spent an hour looking at the boiler and looking at the baseboards. He did nothing and said we should probably consider replacing the boiler as it was about 26 years old. The repair would cost between $800 and $1000 and then it could still have things go wrong. He charged us $130 for that diagnosis said he could come back and fix it after ordering a pressure gauge, etc. but he would have someone call about new boiler pricing. No one ever called until a week later I called them again. I also called Toms Heating in Waukesha for a 2nd opinion. They came out next day and fixed the heat in under 1 hour for $169. The system was apparently 12 lbs low on air pressure and he added that and then bled the radiant baseboards. It has worked fine ever since. I would NOT recommend Gross Heating in Brookfield because their rep did not even try to fix our problem. We did NOT need a new furnace.

Very rarely do you get work done that is affordable, quality and fast. Randy Belongia was all three for us. Got in to do a job even a little early for us and got the job done fast. I know when it comes time to replace our AC and furnace well be calling Gross. Thanks guys

Gross was contacted as a 2nd opinion when problems with a heat pump were incorrectly diagnosed by someone else. After thoughtful and careful analysis, including contacting the manufacturer (which others wouldnt do), it was concluded that the heat pump needed to be replaced. Upon careful consultation with the contractor and electrician, a new heat pump and air handler were efficiently and professionally installed. All involved were polite, punctual, patiently answered questions, and worked neatly.

Had to replace 2 old (gravity) furnaces and install 2 AC units for my duplex in fall of 18. The people at Gross were very helpful in recommending what would work best and did a thorough job on the install and clean up. Ive had to have some additional duct work done since to reduce some noise as the ducts were old and they did it free of charge. Overall a great experience.

Large addition 2013 using another HVAC outfit. I came to learn just how badly the 2013 work was done.Lengthy evaluation by Gross Heating led to a new Carrier Infinity furnace, and significant duct work, including three zones. I was present during all their work. As now a much more sophisticated Homeowner, regarding HVAC, I am aware that the work they did was top-notch.Their estimate was accurate, fair, and appropriate. Each of their workers clearly had extensive education on HVAC principles and practices, unlike our prior contractor.

I replaced my 20 year old central air conditioner with a new Carrier unit from Gross Heating and Cooling. Since my Townhouse does not have a furnace, I needed to replace a fan-coil unit that was built into my inside wall as well as the central air unit outside of my home. The old fan-coil was 40 plus years old so the new one had to match up to the new Carrier unit with the new R410-A refrigerant. This job required experienced installers with expertise and Joe knew just who to assign the job to. Jesse and James showed up on time to do the install and apply their expertise with this type of system. They both spent the whole day installing, knew exactly what they were doing and kept the inside of my home clean while they worked. When I researched the different brands and models of central air conditioners, the message was very clear about installation. I learned that the quality of the installation determined the reliability of the unit more than anything else. I would recommend Gross Heating and Cooling because of the professional installation and competitive price.

The man showed up exactly when they said they were going to come. Very nice guy. He explained what he was going to do and that he needed to get into the basement for the furnace. Had the old A/C quickly removed and the new pad and unit installed within a few hours. Left for a bit to do the venting work and was back and finishing up within the time frame we were told. The original salesman is what got up. He was the fourth over here. He explained EVERYTHING. Gave us options on units and knew the differences between them. Nice and knowledgeable man. He spent a good deal of time looking at our old unit and the furnace and venting and showing us things. Sat down with us and gave us the details and costs. Gross wasnt the cheapest, nor was it the most expensive, but I know we got a quality product and a good price and guarantee. Will definitely be recommending them and using them in the future.

I had a new furnace installed today by Mike and Paul. They did a wonderful job. They were on time, very efficient, and did an awesome job of cleaning up. They protected my hardwood floors. Installation of the outside piping went amazingly well. Mike went over the operation of the thermostat and demonstrated how to change the filter. They even showed concern about my cat. Our 21-year-old furnace was on its death bed. As long as we were replacing it, we wanted to add air-conditioning and a humidifier. We got three quotes. Gross not only was the lowest, they quoted a better A/C unit and humidifier. The salesman was more thorough in evaluating our house and suggested a ducting change to make the A/C work more efficiently (included in the quote!). He also offered to loan us electric heaters if the furnace didnt make it till the new one was installed. My wife and I were both impressed with the crew of three plus an electrician -- we heard NO bad language while they were here! Our furnace is located in a dark corner. The electrician added a light while he was doing the re-wiring. Fantastic! I dont see how the experience could have gone any better. We will continue to use Gross in the future and recommend them to anyone who asks.
