Great Indian food collection here... almost everything is there...must visit

Very Rude Lady & male owner and items are overpriced and as mentioned by someone in the review above the shop owners do have prejudice and make you feel that they probably only want south Indian customers. On the multiple occasions, Ive faced problems with finding an item and never receive any help from the shop owners, prices are always higher than the nearby Indian stores, and to top it all they keep Snacks that are open with customers having to pack them where theres always a possibility of the hygiene compromise!!(who knows whether they have a license to sell snacks). I dont know why do people even buy from here and insult themselves to pay for overpriced items and witness unprofessional behavior and rudeness towards customer...Im going to the Patel Brothers Every time from now on even if its a 200 mile trip..

Very nice, little pricey but good quality mostly

Reasonably priced large variety of grocery. The samosas and other snacks that are home cooked are very tasty.

Extremely prejudice and terrible customer service!! Husband and wife who own this store, are always present and you would think owner would care about his customers but NO!!! They do not believe in smiling, helping or answering any questions. They do not put prices on any of their items and charge you randomly once you get to the register. Regardless of all that, one would pay for their extremely overpriced items If they would provide half way decent service. You feel unwelcome unless you belong to their part of the region (South India), they display extreme prejudice against anyone who is not South Indian. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You can get 100% better service and prices anywhere else in any other Indian store in Wisconsin.

Fresh vegetables are there on every Wednesday and friday

All items are not price marked. Tricky sale prices always. Definitely priced more than nearby Indian stores. Check the price before you buy.

Ive visited lots of Indian stores and this store seems to have every variety of green vegetables that I could ever ask for. I mean, I made thotakura pulusu and what not after getting it from here.

Lady cheated on $$$ every time... especially scale items!! I bought some vegetables which was entered twice as weight!! First I thought she made mistake not worth returning but this is my third trip she has done that...it’s clear that it’s Intentionally!! so watch out check your receipt carefully

Well spaced out aisles, and good stock of pretty much everything that one might need.The shelves can be labelled better with the brand/price details, as most are old, or torn.The storekeeper can certainly be more forthcoming, and helpful, to people who are not familiar with the brands, or the item availability.Nevertheless, the store is well stocked, and thats what matters.

Pathetic experience... The lady at the shop is ill mannered rude and lacks courtesy towards the customer. As I approached her to ask for something, before even completing my question she kept walking without any proper response with an unpleasant attitude. She is of no help. Still people are visiting as there is no other go. So please don’t lower your standards further and at-least try working on proper customer service henceforth. Business is not just about profit making but something more.

This place has everything you need for an indian kitchen. We like the fact that they are always stocked up. Very efficient, pleasant shopping experience. They even sell snacks and ready to eat dishes you can take up and heat up to eat. I buy all my groceries here except for meat, chicken and fish.

Except for fresh meat, youll find anything Indian here. They have a great selection of products and bring in all new items too. They even have home cooked food/snacks freshly prepared available. If you go on a Thursday, you could get yourself some biriyani too. Vegetables are normally nice. Thursday is when they restock I guess...They open by 10am. Queues can be long depending on the time you go because they have only a single billing counter. Once you are a regular at the store, the owners are quite friendly & nice. If you ask, they even use boxes instead of plastic covers to pack the stuff you buy - I think that is awesome! I know people from Franklin who travel all the way till Brookfield just to shop at Sri Gayathri Foods. You want Indian, go to Sri Gayathri. Around the time of any Indian holidays, you can also find all the necessary items you might use for that event.

Absolutely positively no problems for me I think the food price was fair and I thought the person checking me out was nice.

Dont agree with some other reviews that owner is rude or there are no prices marked. Mr Raju is definitely nice and customer friendly. Prices are all marked on items. Food available plenty. Fresh vegetables twice a week. Home made pickles available. Overall a good shop to go to.

Good place to get Indian grocery items. However a lot of items dont have expiry dates and lot others are expired.

Called for info on item needed for a Indian dish and if they had them in stock. Im not Indian but love Indian food. I asked a question. She told me to Google it while talking to another customer in the store and in my attempt to ask another question about a seasoning I needed, she hung up on me. 🙁

We get most of the Indian products. The owner and family are very friendly.

Very rude costumer service. I asked where the hot sauce was and then she pointed in an isle saying “there! Right in front of you!” And after five minutes of looking I went back and told the lady I still couldn’t find it. And after getting a nasty, dirty look from her she went to the isle and moved stuff that was in the way and accused me of moving stuff in front of the hot sauce. Rude service! Find other stores!

Good hygenic non spicy Indian food!

It primarily caters to Indian food requirements and has most of the items viz, aata, masala, vegetables etc..

This store sells food (SNACKS) that are prepared we don’t know by who. Is it licensed kitchen inspected by the city of Brookfield .They are placed in open containers with no adequate covers. Shoppers happily sneezing away, coughing, and spreading germs in this small place flooded with people and stuff.This is most inappropriate, especially when we pay premium prices for our favorite groceries.

Yesterday we got two boneless biryanis from this store and they said it was fresh but was smelling awful. They said they got it fresh from bawarchi. I wish there was a negative rating for such cheaters. Please be very careful guys.

Lovely selection of produce and staff were very friendly--especially when I asked for advice on making a good curry! Love this store and love that I live a few mins away! Samosas are the best!!!!

I visit this place very often, I never felt they are low in inventory. They always properly manage the stock.The owner are very friendly and the vegetables are very fresh.Besides that I love Thursday biryani!!Instead of buying vegetables from Woodmen or Walmart, I recommend you to support local businesses.-Abhiram.

I wanted to give a negative star but don’t have that option. Very rude customer service. Owner is not friendly. Prices are high compared to other grocery stores. They have lot of options and varieties but the attitude towards customer is not good.

People who purchase food at this store sometimes traveling great distances. I think that that means they have good products.

Food lying in open containers , especially when you are paying 20 cents on all almost all the items which are already marked premium prices.biryani eaters beaware you may take home foul biryani if its saturday - stocked fresh only on friday’s.One thing always to notice , and most of us do ignore this - they dont tender you exact change if you pay cash . Maybe a dime or a cent less bt they would handover the change very confidently . For eg - if the bill is $6.05 you may just receive $3.85 ( i know most of us dont care , but jst imagine roughly by this calculation 100 customers can pay him $ 10 jst for nothing)NO 1 cheaters !!!!

Products are overpriced. Owner doesn’t have a regard for the customers. He is rude and arrogant when asked for help. There’s only one billing counter and the queue is really long on the weekends. Vegetables are not fresh. You get all varieties of products which is the only positive thing.

No price tag on products... he always keeps expires products and if you reported to him saying that these product are not good because its date is already expire then he said Please do not trust us..so i dont understand how can people eating food from his store without trusting him..they are good until you are not report his fault...once you said this or that is not good after that they are so rude.. they started doing argument...

I went there for some specific items, but they have a lot of items - various vegetables, rice and miscellaneous grains, lentils, ready-to-eat foods and varieties of frozen goods. In addition to this, they have fresh samosas, pakoras, veg and non veg biryani/side dishes (I havent tried any of these but a lot of things to try), dosa/idli batter. Would love to be back again.

This guy needs a serious lesson on customer service. The guy is outright rude. He behaves as though customers are a burden and he is doing a favor by opening his store. No sir, we are doing you a favor by buying things from you when we have other choices.We have also noticed that several items are overpriced in his store. As noted by other customers the price is not displayed on the items. Only when we get the bill do we know the price of the item - such a rip off! I think this is deliberate so that he can charge more.We have stopped going to this store. There are other better options for indian groceries in the milwaukee area.

Neighbourhood Indian store with lot of South Indian grocery options. Their masala vadai and kachori is very good. They have not mentioned the item prices which makes it hard for the customers. Sometimes the items are overpriced compared to other Indian grocery store.

The store manager is a cunning person. He charged my card and told that the card got declined and forced me to pay cash. I paid the cash and later realized that my card was actually charged. When I brought this to his notice and asked for a card transaction decline slip, he said no such proof is with him. I am proceeding legally to file a case on him and sue him for this. Please do not trust such people.

Im on a tight budget although everything is worth the wait.

This is the Indian store around Brookfield area and has a good stock. Basically this is the only indian store around Brookfield and waukesha . Good owners..they daily make deep fried snacks which is Im the front and they make portioned curries to sell too.

Its a good place to get most of the indian stuff

One of the only Indian groceries in the waukesha area, so they have a captive clientele. Usual assortment of Indian groceries and bulk items. Prices tend to be poorly marked. Line at the register is slow most evenings after work. They have trays of fresh items such as pakora, vada pav, etc. Saturday mornings they serve ho-hum dosai and other eatables.

Find whatever normal Pakistani and Indian grocery items. Really good samosas. Price is little bit expensive.

Located at a distance of few miles from our apt, this place is a blessing for any Indian. It holds all the spices, packed ready to cook items, frozen items & snacks of Indian origin, Maggie :) . A must visit for frozen coconut & other frozen veggies to stock up for emergency. I also found frozen undiyu here :)They also have fresh snacks ( samosa, medu vada, dal vada etc.) for those who need to buy in their busy schedule. I have tasted samosa & they were Gud.They also do carry CURRY LEAVES ❤️ now who can stay without those!!!!!We visit every week to stock up & get our necessary Indian items. :)

*Their prices are very high because there is no competitors near by...*Their approach towards customers is very unpleasant .... They treat customers as if we are there to beg... I drive 15- 20min all the way westallis or Milwaukee to get fresh and reasonable price and good customer service which common man deserve*Main issue is every grocery item we buy will be packed (accept vegitables) so we wont know the item inside is spoiled or have any issue in it... So once we go home and open it if we find any mistake in it they he will never take it back as per the food act (for not selling damaged or expired items)*Prices are based on his choice when u reach to billing counter which u will realize only if u re check ur receipt.*I saw few gave good review on price - I guess they are not aware of Its actual price what we get in other store, or they are not bothered about what they spend.* I should agree on this that they have good stock of all most Indian food items (but again please make sure the expiry date on each before u pick things from there as we have seen he sell expired stufs)

The owner forced us to buy broken pani puri packets although there were tons of broken packets on the rack saying your wife broken it. They charge you heavily and all vegetables are not fresh at all. I will complain to food division Waukesha for this .
