What a great business! I called them to see if they could help me with my car alarm. I had tried multiple other places, and no one was able to help me. My auto start/alarm system was broken, and I wasn’t even able to start my car. Eric helped me to override the alarm system & start my car over the phone! And when I brought it in to repair the problem, he fixed it in under an hour. He was upfront about their fees & it was very reasonable. It’s very refreshing to know that people with integrity still exist. I can’t comment on their custom work, but from what I saw in their showroom, it looks amazing! Highly recommend them 😃

Jeff and Eric did an excellent job on a 1970 Cadillac Sedan Deville! They do excellent work, very thorough, and detail oriented. I thought the price was fair given their level of detail and craftsmanship. Would recommend them to anyone needing interior work, stereo, etc.!

You will not find a more detailed perfectionist than Eric when it comes to interior work! His custom work is beyond outstanding. He did such a beautiful job on my G35 some time ago and Im not kidding when I say it was so perfect I was blown away! Going back with my Yukon for some more custom touches this spring, looking so forward to having this truck done ! You will not find anyone! And I mean it , that will give you this quality of work here in Wisconsin.

I went to get an estimate for a stereo and back up camera install. I was given a date for installation for the following month. Two days before the scheduled appointment, I called to confirm and was told they have no record of my order. I was then told a price that was 500$ more than originally quoted. We were still ready to proceed when I was told they are unable to get the products in. Frankly, it showed they just didn’t want our business. After reading all the positive reviews, we are extremely disgusted and disappointed by the treatment we received. Definitely would not recommend this business.

Great customer service. Every time I stop in they are very helpful. Very talented custom painters. Can do just about anything. Here are a couple examples of their work.

A shop that doesnt tolerate slipshod work. I brought my car in from another installer and I am looking forward to completely redoing my install with lake country. Its a 3500W stereo so doing it right is essential. Ill update when its done

I had them install a new head unit and back up camera on my first generation Porsche Cayman and it turned out amazingly. They exceeded all expectations on the project.

Hope no Bucks player or other athletes take their vehicles here! Called about getting work done to vehicles of min was quoted price so today I came to drop deposit seen few guys talking as I walked towards entrance door was locked called number they sent me to voicemail walked to rear they locked door and ignored me never again! I don’t want to believe it was because I was Black? But find it hard to believe if I was any other race I would of been treated like this in middle of day!

Had heated seats installed, very happy with service and install and done very quickly and clean.. they had great communication and very helpful techs

Lake Country Customs never latched my hood after charging my battery. (Also charged me $$ to throw my battery on a charger with out informing me how much the cost was). My hood flew up driving 60mph with my infant daughter in the backseat. The next morning I called to inform what had happened. I was very disappointed with their response. Lake Country Customs refuses to pay for a new hood and was not apologetic at all. I’m lucky I didn’t get into a serious accident because of this.

Highly recommend them! Ask for Jeff, he is knowledgeable friendly and does great work.

I had them install a remote start in my Audi and they were one of the few that would work on a German car. They did a very nice job and tidy workmanship. The unit recently had some issues, no fault of theirs, and I made an appointment with them to diagnose. 20min later they had me back on the road with a working unit. I dont write reviews often but they deserve accolades and Ill be back to have some custom work on my cycle without hesitation.

I retract everything good I said about these people, they made some simple modification to my car and charged me double what a normal shop would have charged, and they made false claims of how many hours they actually worked on my car. I looked at some of the custom fabrication that they did in the pictures but I got nothing close to that the work they did was very shabby and does not match up with my car. Their are a lot better shops in Wisconsin that will charge you lesser, than these people I had did a lot of work to my car dynamat and other things the only thing they needed to do was re-fabricate some boards for me, and they way over charged me to do this ill never take my car back to these people. they had made a few calls to me to try and fixed the work but I refuse to let them, especially when I think their price tag was racially motivated and the work that was performed was less than satisfactory. they should have done right by me the first time around I would never recommend a friend to this shop.

Remote Start InstallationI am writing this post 1 week after my remote start installation. This is also 1 week from the time the Owner of Lake Country Customs, Eric Taerud, told me he would call me back, a call that I never received.I scheduled my SmartStart installation on December 17, 2016. I was told to drop off my truck on January 9, 2017 at 9:00 AM. They required a $100 deposit in the event I didnt show up for my appointment which was paid back in December, well before my scheduled installation date.I dropped my truck off on January 9th at 9:00 AM as scheduled and was told I would get a phone call when it was completed, but that I had to pick the vehicle up no later than 5:30 PM as that is the time they close. I did not get a call but as I had already made arrangements to pick my vehicle up at 5:00 PM so that I wasnt late and encroaching on their closing time. When I arrived at their shop at 5:00 PM I was told they were just getting ready to call me as they hadnt even started my installation yet which was projected to take 2-3 hours. I was told there were other items that came up and you know its a Monday. Now bear in mind that Monday is not the day of the week that I chose. It was the installation date that THEY gave me which, again, was scheduled 3 weeks in advance. I live in Burlington, WI so this was no quick commute to wait around for 2-3 hours for them to complete the installation. Obviously I need my vehicle so I complied and my mother and I, of whom was so gracious to drive me there to pick up my vehicle, waited around for 2.5 hours. At 7:30 PM my installation was finally complete and I was instructed how to use the system. Everything seems to work great for the system itself that is not the issue. The issue is that I expressed to Mr. Taerud that I would appreciate a refund of some sort for my extra time wasted. They required me to pay a deposit in the event I didnt show up but my time has no value? I wasnt some random walk-in, my appointment was scheduled well in advance. They had my truck for over 10 hours for a 2.5 hour install. Eric Taerud said the charge had already been put through so he didnt think he could refund it. Well it was charged before the work was even done so not knowing how to use your own accounting system is not my problem. As they were trying to close he said he would look into it and call me back the next day, again, a call I never received.To confirm, my remote system is working fine and I do not have a problem with the services rendered. It is merely the poor scheduling, poor follow up and lack of response that has driven me to provide a 2 star review. If in fact the owner, Mr. Taerud, would have offered me any sort of refund for my inconvenience my review certainly would have been different. It is unfortunate that he doesnt seem to care about customer service. I truly hope that they make better choices with their future customers so no one else has to go through this awful experience with Lake Country Customs.Kirsten Capps

These guys are legit in terms of what they can do and what they can handle but they cant even perform the basics when it comes to stereo installation. I have installed over 30 stereos myself in cars, I chose them to install mine because I didnt have time to do one for my cousin, I had them install a Pioneer avic 5000 nex headunit with an alpine power pack mini amp.Basic GPS nav stereo install with satellite radio no big deal, right? Wrong! Got it home the nav and dvd player dont work, they claimed they installed it correctly and said they dont normally do pioneer stereos. What kind of incompetent mechanic or car audio guy makes an excuse like that? Thats like working at a chevy garage but saying you cant do brakes on a ford focus because your not familiar with them. I had to fix it myself by connecting the parking wire to the stereo which wasnt done...Stay away from this guy hes arrogant, wont look you straight in the eye, wasted talent....

These guys did some real custom work for me at a great price. Will be going again for more!
