Great help with stuff about my old White tractor

Great place for all types of repairs for outdoor lawn and garden equipment. They even pick up large tractors for maintenance and repair. Great selection of new equipment as well, with friendly and helpful staff.

Horrible customer service!! The men talk down to women & think females don’t understand outdoor equipment!! Lolol very sad!! To many people don’t know what’s going on,& blame others instead of being accountable & solving issues!! Won’t be returning!! Waste of time & $$$!

The equipment display outside was nice, the store inside was clean and well organized. They handled social distancing very well. The two men who were working at the counter were quite kind and helpful and helped us to understand what part we needed to make our weed wacker work better. You could tell they enjoyed their work by the way they handled themselves. The price was fair for the service we received. Thank you!

Awesome selection of mowers including Toro Zero Turns. Also Echo blowers and trimmers, now Dewalt. Very good service, people are nice. Have trouble ordering and maintaining seasonal inventory.

Came in for a couple o-rings. What small engine shop doesn’t have o-rings for a commercial lawnmower?

I have searched and searched for a place to buy a quality used lawn tractor. I came across state sharpening while doing a google search and looked at their site. I had some questions so called and talked to a very nice and helpful woman on the phone. Later that afternoon I drove up to see some of the tractors they had. I was a little intimidated because I know nothing about lawn tractors. But the sales staff was very nice and helpful in teaching me about the different tractors and how to use them. They pointed my in the direction of what would work best for me, and even discounted the tractor (side note: they have the BEST prices around ). When I was rung up I paid in cash and card. They accidentally charged my card the full amount and took the cash, when they gave me my receipt I did not notice the mistake and they helped load the tractor into my truck. When I got home, I unloaded the tractor and took it for a spin around the yard. It ran great!! I am so happy with the purchase. The next morning I got a call from the store and they alerted me of the mistake in over charging me and wanted to let me know they refunded the amount that I paid in cash back to my card. I would have never realized the mistake and would have been out a couple hundred. But state Sharpening is a good company with honest people that are looking out for the customer. I know this was a long review, but I wanted people to know what kind of company they are dealing with. State Sharpening is helpful, courteous and honest! Thank you

Horrible customer service. Client service is not a priority. The people that work there are rude and incompetent. They do not care to have a resolution when clearly it is their mistake!

The staff are very nice and they have a good selection of mowers and other lawn maintenance items. All in all will be recommending to friends.

Best lawn equipment shop in Northeast Ohio. Drew is incredible. So knowledgeable and never intimidating. He goes the extra mile in assessing a customer’s needs. We have bought a snowblower and now zero turn lawn mower from State Sharpening. Delivery is also a breeze and on time, as the guy ensures you know how to use the machine. Couldn’t be happier and we often recommend the team at State Sharpening to family and friends. We will return back whenever we need anything!

This is an update on a review i left earlier. After my mower broke down after ten minutes of mowing i took it back to state sharpening. After being treated rudely and called a liar i unloaded my mower and demanded they fix it right. Apparently they read my first review and refused to fix my mower.I took my mower to Sterling Mowers on route 18 in Medina. I cant say enough on how polite and nice all their staff is. They had my mower for a few days. State sharpening put the wrong pulley on the mower deck which is why it fell apart after mowing for 10 minutes. I am currently filing to take state sharpening to small claims court to get my money back since i have another cub cadet dealer to speak on my behalf. I also have a claim with the attorney general.Moral to this story DONT LET THESE HACKS WORK ON ANY THING......

Need to work on customer expectations. I took in my rider for seasonal cleaning they said the price would be $119 plus parts. I asked what was included in the $119, they listed off a lot items including: Oil, Oil filter, air filter...I walk in to pick up the mower expecting to pay ~$130 after tax & the price is now ~$260. Thats a 100% price increase. They replace a belt that was starting to tear without calling and asking if it would be OK to do the additional work. If they would have called I would have opted out because I keep spare belts at home. The belt only made up ~$60 of the additional ~$130.2 Stars because the work was good & they cleaned up the mower nicely. I just felt like I got screwed when I checked out.

Awesome, awesome service! I was referred to State Sharpening by Mantis as an authorized service repair center. I was having issues trying to get my Mantis to start. The gentleman who was taking my information, took the time to show me the best way to start it. He held the throttle as he started it and the Mantis started right up. I told him that I had no idea that was the best way because it didnt even show that in the instruction manual. He said I was good to go! I told him to please take at least $5. He said no thanks, the next time I have an issue, bring it back! FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Update: I spoke with the owner who apologized for not properly fixing the machine the first time, and explained that their policy is to redo the repairs right away if there is an unresolved problem. That immediate repair policy was not explained to me during my initial phone call so I did not return to the shop. At that time, I could not wait another 3-4 days and quite possibly get the mower back with the same issues.Due to this conversation Ive upgraded my review to 4 stars, but if you read this keep in mind the policy of immediate repairs for work not properly performed the first time.Initial review, shortened:Shop did not properly diagnose mower problem. My mower was running at full speed all the time, and you couldnt change the speed with the throttle.Got it back, and they said nothing was wrong, ran fine, and had only adjusted the idle speed. When I got home the problem was still there. The initial problem was neither diagnosed correctly nor repaired.Due to timing - this was in the middle of the summer with the growing season in process - I decided to fix the mower myself. The issue was with the governor, which after two hours I was able to clean, correct a sticking interference in the governor shaft, and then re-assemble and adjust. The mower now works perfectly, and is what the shop should have done the first time (or replaced parts as appropriate).

Very polite, professional, and knowledge staff. They recommend the product that works, and also the less expensive option when there is little or no difference. They do not rent equipment and they sometimes close early, but they seem to have a very good selection of parts and they are honest.

Wouldnt let my wife use restroomTold me the riding mower I was interested in they had three and only had one but it was missing stuff they would have to order parts

They did an awesome job of repairing & tuning up my riding lawn mower! It was so bright & shiny when delivered, I swore it was someone elses mower. It looked brand new! Then when I used it for the first time, it ran & cut my grass beautifully! I am VERY HAPPY with State Sharpening! Also, their rates are quite reasonable. I will definitely use them again!

I had 2 people look at my Sears Craftsman lawn tractor (one from sears and one other repairman) and declare it to be dead-no compression and tell me to purchase a new lawn tractor (approx. $1200-$1900) .I called state sharpening , they picked it up within a day and called me the same day with an estimate of about $240.00. I gave them the go ahead and they returned it to my home within about a week. It now runs great and I did not have to purchase a new tractor. Kudos to State Sharpening-highly recommended!

Did a very good job sharpening kitchen knives and lawnmower blades. I also purchased a used snow thrower from here that works well for the price I paid. The only negative experience I had was their inability to cross reference a unique part, but I was able to find a cross reference later on Amazon.

They picked up my snowblower for a reasonable fee that included pick-up and drop-off. Then they made sure it was in proper working order, also for a reasonable cost. They have become my start-of-the-season tune-up crew!!
