Jeff is the man and he gave me excellent customer service. I brought my Elantra in for brakes. There was a delay in getting the parts--not his fault. However, Jeff made sure to break down exactly what was going on with my car as we waited. He was engaging, entertaining, and helpful. Price breakdown was very fair. Him and Steve are probably the smartest, most honest and kind employees Ive ever encountered in a garage. Jeff was really funny on top of all that. Bring your cars here, you wont regret it.

Ive been to this location 3 times. The three times I have been there the mechanics have been nothing but very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. I went back today for some maintenance. The manger was super friendly and very helpful. Jeff the mechanic who worked on my car was also very friendly, and knowledgeable, worked quickly and efficiently. Everyone seems honest.

One of the best experiences Ive had at a mechanic. Everywhere I went beforehand wanted to charge me $2000 for repairs on my exhaust but Monro charged me $700. I was so happy with the price and the manager Jesse who was super nice and helpful. 10 out 10 would recommend.

This is the only location I go to if I need something fixed on my car. The employees here are very trustworthy and honest, especially Jesse. I normally don’t write reviews but I have to...I went to Bristol branch today. My car had a vibration when I do around 60..This was my first time to Monroe . Did my wheel balancing and wheel alignment. Met the store manager Jesse Whalen, He was a nice guy. He told me he’ll do the balancing first and then if it is necessary he’ll do the alignment. Not everyone does that. Most of them just want to take maximum money out of a customer. I had some questions about possible issues in my car and he answered all the questions with a smile. I already told two of my friends live around that area about the location and to go there..Very happy with the service, price and the way did my car. I’ll go there again. This is going to be my permanent mechanic in the future. There was another gentleman who did my car. I don’t know his name. He did 2 test drives to make sure the car drives good. Keep it up Jesse and the team.

Went in for a new catalytic convertor, staff was very knowledgeable. The store manager was very helpful, and kept me updated. I never felt like they were trying to sell me something I didnt need, very honest with the work that they were doing. Definitely will be going back for any other work I need on my car!

Exceptional customer service and very helpful! I called Firestone prior to going to Monro since I’m new to the area and they are slightly closer and they told me it would take all day and possibly more to get my tire plugged since I ran over a nail yesterday. Therefore, I called Monro and they had me in and out in less than a half hour. I will be going to them in the future for any car issues and I would highly recommend!!

We had recent experience with the Bristol Munro that was excellent compared to the past. It’s under new management and the new Manager Jesse was friendly, knowledgeable and didn’t steer as wrong by getting a complete brake job. We were thrilled with the level of expertise of Jesse and the great techs that work there. We would definitely return.

Excellent service!! I called a few hours before to make an appointment and I got right in that same day. I enjoyed the safety measures that were being followed and executed and the amount of time the manager Jesse took with each customer despite being vastly understaffed. I enjoyed watching him interact with a customer by breaking down the more immediate fixes his car needs and what can wait. I was in and outta there in a timely manner, probably faster than usual considering there was legit only 2 guys on staff. Very friendly and clean lobby area, I will for sure be returning for more vehicle services.

I came here because I had an issue with other mechanics. The manager here is excellent he took care of my issue the same day and they have the best prices in town. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!

I have seen a serious improvement in this store location. Prior to the new store manager Jessie the store was a mess. The old manager was not friendly at all and made where you didn’t wanna step foot in the store. Jessie always has a smile and wants to help to the best to his ability and has no problem explaining what is going on with your vehicle or what parts that you need . The environment has changed there with his positive attitude.

In simplest terms, extraordinay service and quick and easy process. Mark especially was of great help. He provided a great price and an amazing experience.

My experience with monroe auto service and tire center was a horrible experience!! I was charged twice for a job only done once!! My truck was sitting there for a week for a 20 minute job they tried the dident do It correctly because they needed a part or something just to charge me more money which is insane I would not recommend going to monrpe unless you wanted to be taken for a ride horrible place very rude they were throwing f bombs at me like it was the polite thing to do stay away from monroe

Jesse is an awesome store manager & he made my experience wonderful. I always go to monro muffler for my breaks & sometimes oil changes and I can trust them when they tell me something is wrong with your car. They explain everything they do in detail & always try to save you money!!

Jesse Whalen, the Store Manager and TJ his Tech did an outstanding job on replacing both the front and rear brake pads and rotors on our Nissan Murano. Monro happened to be running specials and Jesse was able to save me a lot of money. TJ is a Super-Tech and did a fantastic job on the brakes. Overall, this was an excellent customer experience with no hassles, high quality work at very competitive prices. I give them 5+ Stars rating.

Ive been going to this location for 4 years. Today I went in for an oil change and had the pleasure of meeting the new manager Jesse. He is so friendly and personable. A different experience from prior visits Ive had. Look forward to my next service.

Quickly taken care of. per appointment.What was found was a tire with a faulty valve which was promptly repaired....and, astonishingly, when asked what I owed for the service, the manager, Jesse, shrugged and said no charge. Im old enough to remember when this was done out of courtesy---rare to find nowadays.Will be my go to place for my Prius.

Absolutely astounding customer service! Went in to have my front brakes replaced today and Steve did an amazing job at breaking everything down and helping me get the best service possible. Not only did my front breaks get replaced for an exceptionally great price but they went above and beyond to help me. They replaced a bald front tire I had for a fraction of cost and even allowed me to maintain a payment option with them to pay off the BACK brakes that they ended up replacing as well. Absolutely the greatest car servicing Ive ever experienced. Very pleasant and very quick for a very reasonable price!

Last weekend we used Monro Auto Service to the replace my car starter. There was a small miscommunication which delayed when my car would be ready for pick up. When we called Monroe close to our original pick up time, one of the representatives explained the situation to us that my car had not been repaired. However, due to Monroes excellent customer service, they fixed my car the same day, meaning that some employees stayed late than their usual end time. I work in customer service and I understand how a miscommunication can spiral into more work and more time, so I appreciate what Monro did for us, even though they could have easily repaired my car the next day. They deserve the 5 stars for their explanation of the delay and their proposed resolution. My car has been running perfectly ever since the repairs were complete, so I know that they didnt rush the repairs either, and that also solidifies the professionalism and experience that Monro has.

First time going to Monro this am. Sean is awesome! Very intelligent regarding the needs of your vehicle and very responsible. Made a very small suggestion to the tech regarding my oil plug that could have been a larger problem down the road. I appreciate him saving me the headache. Ive been going to this location for the past 4 years. About 6 months ago I stopped coming when the previous manager made no attempt to help me with a concern about something his mechanic did to my car. I actually only went back recently out of desperation of getting an oil change last minute because my I had a road trip. However, when I walked into Monro that fateful day and met the new manager Ricardo it all changed. He knew I was desperate and made accommodations to fit me in immediately. He was so courteous and professional. He really cared and had a sense of urgency. This was by far the best customer service and he is a wonderful manager. Monro should be grateful to have him as I have had many dreadful encounters with numerous managers at many locations. The business is only as good as their people. I have an older car so I am a loyal and continuously returning customer LOL I will be sure to go to the Bristol Monro every time and I do hope that Ricardo gets some recognition for being exemplary. Ill say one thing for these guys, they are HONEST. After a trip to a nearby competitor that told me i needed a complete exhaust system, I went for a second opinion at Monro. They replaced an exhaust gasket for 65.00 and that was it. My exhaust is completely quiet and I didnt need any other parts. Firestone wouldnt even look at it!

Very sketchy customer service. Kept my car overnight because they simply wouldnt say they close early meanwhile the sign on door says they close at 7pm. Apparently they closed at 5pm but told me my car would be ready after 5pm EST. How is that? I show up to pick up my car before 7pm and shop was a ghost town. Wow!!

First time at this store, but very pleased. The Man Behind the Counter was very knowledgeable about tires and was able to help me with my decision. I had called a competitor and they seemed to know little about what they were talking about. I would recommend this store highly.

Have been going to Monroe for oil changes on both my vehicles. Always good experience, just wish they would keep on extra person in the office at all times instead of having one guy go from in the office to the shop back to the office.

I’ve been going to Monroe for many years now and Im always seeing new employee faces. Today Ricardo P. (Current Store manager) showed me just how caring a dedicated worker can be! He showed me what was wrong with my car and gave me an amazing deal. Being a young female I often see auto shop employees taking advantage of my little knowledge on cars. Ricardo was nothing but professional and extremely helpful. Very please with his work ethic !!

Very honest and frugal! Brought car in for a scary knocking noise. Also it appeared to be leaking in the parking lot. Turns out it was only an old heat shield -- a piece of metal that goes over the muffler to keep the heat away from the car. They could have made me get a new one -- keeping the car while ordering parts like another mechanic suggested a year ago -- but they didnt even suggest it. They just removed it for 17$. Also, they thought my break pads needed changing, and i thought my breaks were getting weak too. They took the wheels off (asked to borrow tools that were in the car to remove them...), looked at them, and said they were fine. Over an hour of work -- break inspection, fluid inspection -- total is 17$!!! If you are an affluent person who actually wants the kind of place that will make you pay 200$ for a heat shield and that doesnt ask you to borrow your tools, maybe this place isnt for you. But I know what my new go-to place is for regular maintenance and emergencies. Also they were open when other places are closed and are open on Sundays, and the manager very polite and listens carefully, and the mechanics seem to really want to do a good job for him.

Shawn the store manager is a great, and so is the staff. They are very trustworthy and don’t try to have you fixed things if it’s not a safety concern. I will ALWAYS go here and NEVER anywhere else. And they stand behind there word and projects.Trisha

I have been going here for over 10 years for my oil changes.Took my car there for an oil change and they drained my transmission and overfilled my oil by 2 quarts.Mechanic boasted about how he is self taught and asked me why my oil was clear.These guys must have lost some really good employees and are left with the bottom of the barrel.

I was having issues recently with my Rav 4 and I am glad I spoke to Shawn (Sean) at Monroe Muffler in Bristol, CT. He saved me, easily $800 -$1000 and I felt he was a pleasure to interact with. DO NOT GO HERE. I went for a problem with my window and had an appointment to get it fixed. I tried to get an earlier appointment and they tried to cancel it even though they knew I didn’t have much time to fix it. They waited two and a half hours to tell me that they had ordered the wrong part. Did not offer to do anything for the inconvenience. If you are going in the winter the driveway is covered in ice and as opposed to melting the ice they told me not to slip. They also were supposed to open at 7:30 and no one was there before 8. Lastly, they misdiagnosed my car and told me that I had a problem costing about $500 when it was actually way less. Do not recommend.

Took a car there on April 9th almost 2 weeks ago. Was overcharged by almost 300.00 and was told the money would be refunded the same day. Every day since then I have called to inquire about my refund and have yet to get the money back. Called yesterday and Shawn told me he contacted corporate because the amount was out of his range and the regional manager approved the refund which will take 24 hours. Woke up this morning and still no money. Unfortunately Im on vacation in another state with my children one of whom is handicapped and we have no money to travel home. Called corporate office and was told by Christina in customer service that this is the first corporate is hearing of this and it will take 2 to 3 business days to get the refund. Considering today is Thursday its likely these children and I will be stranded until at least Monday. No one cares and when I finally got upset and yelled and cursed at Shawn he told me dont get nasty with him because it will not help me get my money back any faster. So basically I should remain calm while trying to figure out how to feed these children and how to get home. In case I did not mention, Shawn was the one that swiped my card in error to begin with. This is the worst form of customer service Ive ever seen. I am hopeless as there is nothing I can do but sit and wait.

I absolutely used to love this shop. I swore by it. I went yesterday for an oil change and they didnt put in the right oil. It was the basic oil when I have been using the synthetic blend. When the price came up different I asked the manager about it. He told me I didnt ask for the synthetic blend, which is true, but I explained that I never needed to before. It was in their system. He gave me a HUGE attitude. He said, Well its only my fourth day as manager. In a rude way. He didnt offer to fix the problem or any other solution. So now I have to find someone to fix my oil before I head to maine tomorrow. I will never go back to Monro.

Andrew Hall and Matthew Burdick did an amazing job fixing my tire promptly when it got popped by a large metal object on the highway. They fit me in to an already busy schedule and we’re professional as well as efficient.

Had some brake work done to the car April 2018. The old staff messed something up with the rear caliper bolts. Took it back 11 months later under the year warranty and the new staff and new manager Ricardo took care of it with no issues.
