Prices arent bad, but would be great if the shelves were stocked and there wasnt always a 2nd cashier sitting behind the register not open with 15 people in line.

Its the only place on the island to get alcohol. This place is always out of stock on plenty of items. They need to orders at least 3 times a week during the summer.

Don’t even bother coming here if you have an out of state ID. they don’t have an updated system to look up the number and don’t even have a book to look for possible fakes in a LIQUOR STORE. they literally kicked me out because their system was behind and couldn’t look up my ID. now i cannot even come here ever again since my ID is federal and doesnt actually ever scan. and who carries around their passport with them everywhere? yeah bye

Great prices considering the location and selection.Ocean Beverage offers a wide selection of domestic beer, craft beer, wine, liquor, seltzers, and more. A decent percentage of beers (excluding IPAs / craft beers) and seltzers are refrigerated so you can enjoy them once you get home.Parking can be a challenge, but nothing out of the ordinary for a beach town.COVID protocols are clear and customers have been following rules well from my experience.

Gotta watch the the double charges when you pay with a card, I only pay cash there. Been double charged several times, pretty hard to get it reversed on a debit card.

Needed o get the job done right

For 17 years Ive been visiting Brigantine (I married into the island). Many businesses have come and gone, but Ocean Beverage has remained a welcome sight every visit. Theres a large selection of wine, spirits, beer and a few Belgian style ales. Everything is reasonably priced ... especially considering youre on an island and likely on vacation. Be careful not to paint yourself a tourist by driving the wrong way (12th and 13th are one way) parking adjacent to Ocean Beverage on the side streets.

Selection/stock was low when I went there. The cashier was not too friendly. I spent a lot of time in customer service and expected my employees to present a friendly demeanor when engaged with our customers...

Nice place, great prices, and the staff is basically friendly. Frustrating when they accuse you of using a fake ID though and dont thoroughly check other forms of documentation that validate said ID. Not once has an officer ever pointed out the flaw they claimed my ID had. Next time Ill be prepared with my passport, SS card, and documentation from the DMV proving that I obtained my ID legitimately.

Liquor stores on the barrier islands of South Jersey dont discount their goods because they figure that once youre there, youll pay for the convenience of not having to travel miles inland to find discounted wine, beer and spirits.Ocean Beverage breaks the mold and offers true DISCOUNTS across the board!

They redid the store and have a great selection of each category, great wine choices. They have a ramp built in the sidewalk going to the store making it easier for the handicap.
