Food was excellent! Gave lots of food! Had breakfast was super duper yummy! Best hash browns. Not over cooked which I loved. Very reasonably priced for breakfast. Would totally recommend for anyone!
Southern Bell’s has the best breakfast. I’m from NC and every time I come back to Chicago I have to have breakfast from this restaurant, it reminds me of down home and the omelets custom built are too die for, the portions are plenty. Love me some Southern 🔔
Soup Chicken Dumpling nothing in it just cream .Waitress seemed overwhelmed. Young staff kept touching thier hair not very good sanitation rules followed girl filled ice and used the ice bucket that was on floor to hit the ice down to put cover back on . I think with management that i didnt see any .that could be corrected.
Nice big place, gets busy. Good food had breakfast with take out order of liver and onions. Very delicious, hard to find liver and onions. Reasonable price, will be going again. Coffee is good, very important for me.

It was ok, kind of pricey for the quality of food.. They need help in the kitchen and on the floor. My cousin waited 20 minutes after we all received our meals to get her Nutella crepes. When she did get them, they had no Nutella 😐 English muffin that came with Egg Benedict was dry and hard as a rock... maybe they were just having an off day, But our waitress was super sweet.
Ordered for the first time on Uber Eats. My grits were souppy and lumpy. Now being a native of Mississippi I was very disappointed because I picked this resturant because of the name Southern Belles. I really had the taste for grits. I should have ordered the hashbrowns..not everyone can make grits right..maybe its better in person🙄
Our family was just driving through and meeting some friends for breakfast. They could not have chosen a better option. Moe was our waitress and was so friendly and VERY attentive. She made sure all needs were met & always smiling & interactive. The food was absolutely delicious!!! More than we could finish!! I highly recommend this restaurant & hope we have the opportunity to stop by again sometime. Thank you
There were 8 adults, 5 kids.The waitress seated us in the room to the right when you walk in.It was very warm in there...The food didnt look appetizing at all...& wasnt that good either!!!The bill was over $225.00Plus we left the waitress a good tip!We all said...We wont be back there!
Huge serving sizes (higher prices). California club real carved turkey, cheese, avacado, bacon, lettuce, tomato, no bread for me. Huge selection. Comes with choice of side - excellent Cole slaw, complimentary soup. Very good food. Short staffed. Plenty of parking and convenient location right on Archer Avenue.
Normally I love this place and Taylor is an amazing waitress. However, she was on vacation this week, and my experience was not so amazing. We had a different waitress and that wasnt the issue. However, the person bussing the table was an issue. I was in the middle of eating when they reached for the emplty plates on the table. When they did, their entire arm was directly over my plate of food! Elbow bent and all! That is disgusting! The thought of hairs in my food and no warning or excuse me! I sent it back without finishing even half of it. I tried to speak with who was supposed to be the manager. She stated that they do that all the time, and she didnt understand the issue. I ended up getting into it with another customer who was upset that I was holding up the line. The manager tells me to be quiet and nice but never says anything to the customer who was rude to me and got in the middle of my conversation with her. Unbelievable! I am giving this 2 stars because of today, but Taylor is definitely worth 5! Not sure if I will return if thats how they treat customers who come in regularly.

If you dont care about terrible service then give them a try! I walked in around 11am it was completely dead maybe a total of 3 tables max. I get seated and waited 23 mins without coffee water waiting to order while 3 workers just casually sat and joked around and as I walked out they tell me they are ready to take my order never again!
Great service and good food. The older waitress was very nice. My only issue was that the cook did not know how to make my eggs the way I like them. I asked for my eggs scrambled hard, and they came back running. I sent them back so that they could cook them a bit longer, when they came back, the eggs were seared on the outside but still runny. Scrambled hard means the eggs are not runny and you can scramble eggs hard without searing them. Ill probably get something else next time, if there will be a next time.

The staff was a little busy in there. Waited at least 20 minutes for someone to take my order. The food, however was great. If they hired at least one more person there, theyd be up to par with similar restaurants. Overall, good experience. The kids, which can be picky at times, enjoyed as well. Id more than likely return.

Had breakfast at Southern Belles (first time here). I had the chorizo omelette with hash browns and Greek toast. My husband had the Southern Belle omelette with has browns and Rye toastd and our 3 year old had silver dollar pancakes with chocolate milk. Anna, our waitress was GREAT. She was friendly (talked with us and our daughter), accommodating (brought us a chocolate milk after our daughter decided she didnt want apple juice anymore) and kept checking up on us to make sure we had what we needed. The pancakes were DELICIOUS! The chorizo omelette was a bit spicy (lots of jalapeños), but good. My husband was really happy with his omelette too. And the silver dollar pancakes were more than our 3 year old could handle (we took a lot home). I recommend this place for breakfast. Well have to come back and try it for lunch.

Great service great food, food comes out fast.. coffee is great.. weve pretty much tried everything on the menu: breakfasts, soups, lunch. The girls are always very attentive and caring.. today the red head opened the doors for me (I was holding my baby). They chat w my little ones and give them lollipops.

First off the waitress was disrespectful and gave me attitude infront of my family when she was taking our order my partner said he wanted to get extra patty for his burger and she says “its gonna cost you” first off you dont need to mention that and then she completely forgot to order our drinks and i even mention my younger brothers birthday that we were here to celebrate and she says its her birthday but with an attitude and we did not feel welcome here at all

Came here before for the vegan options and had a really great experience. I decided to bring my family here since I liked it so much for my birthday breakfast together. The waitress Toni was very rude and inattentive. We were only given 2 menus for the 4 of us. My family did not enjoy the food. My food had hair in it. Soon after finishing the meal I got very ill and had to vomit in the restroom. Very different experience this time around. We will not be returning.

Horrible! I ordered a Philly Steak skillet for my children and I’m dividing the meal amongst them and Lord behold I find a produce sticker in my children food. I’m beyond disgusted and irritated with this restaurant. So, I called to let the restaurant know of the issue and they give no regards at all. My husband took the food back and asked for the owner’s number and was told they don’t know or have the owner’s information. I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN!

We took a small funeral party of 15 and everyone ordered something different. The portions were amazingly huge. They understand how to serve a big group. Awesome breakfasts, comfort food, salads, soups. It is the way to keep a small, hungry group quickly fed. Gobs of left overs. Dont forget to snoop at the barrels of Claeys Candy and pick up a bag of old-fashioned, superfine sugar coated candy.

Visiting Chicago for the second time and I enjoy trying new restaurants each time I visit. Outside seating, it was slightly cool and windy. The food was cold when it was delivered to our table. I may try them again when indoor seating is available.
