Originally built in 1852 as a church this general store is not only a Brewster institution but Id go as far as to say it is a Cape Cod institution. Definitely a must see if you are in the Orleans/Brewster area. Great place for kids too, with an old fashioned type candy area/display. Walking through The Brewster Store is most certainly a step back to a simpler time, a real slice of Americana that is today hard to find. As you shop and browse this 2 story historic building you will find almost anything you need from souvenirs to everyday items you may have forgotten to pack on your vacation. It also has a old fashioned counter area to grab a cup of coffee etc. The Brewster Store will definitely be crowded during peak summer months, thats why I tend to go in the fall when the Cape returns to a more peaceful spot.

Anyone complaining about this place should rethink life and slow down. Great place to go to when your out on the cape whether you’re staying in Falmouth, Hyannis, Chatham, Harwich or obviously in Brewster. Either way make the drive. If you have little kids, bring them there. It’s a really nice spot to remind a younger generation what it looked like back long long ago. That’s important to us. My kids say it’s Mrs Oelsons General Store from Little house on the prairie. lol . We stop in all the time, never gets “old.” 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

A must-see for anyone visiting Brewster. All kinds of Cape Cod souvenirs including their own well made sweatshirts, candles, mugs, soaps, herbs, cooking utensils and delightful cookie molds. I bought some neat Cape related cookie shapes like a lighthouse, fish, seahorse and seagull. They are so nice there that they hold the New York Times newspaper every Sunday for my elderly parents.

Love this store. Can find a little bit of everything. Found it last summer on our visit to the Cape. Fast forward to this winter when our monster of a cat (we do love her very much) knocked a 50 yo sentimental lamp off a desk. It had a glass shade that I knew would be hard to replace. Lightbulb goes off. The Brewster Store. Sure enough, Labor Day Weekend we go to the Cape. The Brewster Store helps me find the perfect shade. Im sorry I never got the womans name. She and the store are the BEST!!!!! Go you never know what you will find.

This was a very cool landmark & shop. The only thing I wasnt happy about was that I asked about purchasing postage stamps when I first went in the store. I was told I could only buy them if I bought cards there. Which I did end up doing & the woman let me buy 2 postcard stamps. She was initially gruff and that turned me off.

This place always is a must visit even if we do not buy anything any time my family visits my cousins who live around the area. While they do not have things like a grocery store or Walmart would, they arent supposed to. They are a historical little gift shop. They have fun little knickknacks and toys to remember your visit to The Cape. The upstairs room features more valuable replicas and collectibles for those who are so inclined to purchase. Overall, the Brewster Store is a fun place to visit with young children and children at heart alike.

Iconic Brewster attraction. They sell a bit of everything with a huge penny candy section (well, a buck is more accurate), a Brewster logo-wear section, and even toys and sewing notions. Next door is the Brewster Scoop with great ice cream and the Brewster Stores front porch has lots of seating so you can watch the world pass by while pretending to be a local.

The Brewster Store is an awesome old fashioned general store where everyone knows your name. It is set up just like it was in the good old days. I went in 5 minutes before closing and the two ladies were so helpful and told me not to rush. I knew what I wanted. My nephew had seen a stuffie in there a couple days before and really, really wanted it for his b/day. He said it needed a good home. All in all, its an awesome store. Check it out. This place is a throwback to those old time country stores you would find on the backstreets of Vermont. The place may look small on the outside, however it is two floors of everything from yesteryear, from kitchen gadgets, penny candy, old time drinks, coffee, toys and all sorts of Cape Cod souvenirs including T-shirts and mugs etc. The staff is friendly and fun and loves kids. The second floor of this place is stocked with beach toys and cool military models and all sorts of crafts, puzzles and games. Prices are what you would expect and this place has plenty of food items like donuts and pastries and some lunch items. Definitely worth a stop.
