This place is great, really knowledgeable and friendly staff and a ton of board games, table top games, hobby supplies and comics. They’ve got some good sized gaming tables and an area for working on hobby projects (modeling, painting etc). Customer service is huge with niche’ hobbies and these guys get it. Have been there several times and will continue to in the future.

This place is great! Most of the board games we have came from here. You can essentially take 10% off of any price listed on board games. I cant really speak to the comics there, so youll need to check another review for info on that, but Im really happy with the customer service and pricing in general.The only thing holding back a 5th star is the selection is pretty limited.Edit: Upgraded to 5 stars. I had no idea that special orders were an option. Forgot to mention the variety of hobby supplies they carry (Im approaching this strictly from the perspective of someone shopping for board games) and the availability of gaming space in the store.

Excellent place for comic books both old and new. They sell associated merchandise there as well as various accompaniments for table top games. They even have game nights for people who want to play table top games. Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Clean store that is neatly laid out and organized in a logical manner that is easy to follow.

Friendly staff, great variety

It seems like the only people that receive any sort of customer service are regulars. I came in today and immediately felt like I was some stranger who walked into someones clubhouse without permission.

Really well stocked local comic shop that dabbles in games. However, they have a really great RPG night. Staff super helpful- if you need anything theyre willing to go to another store to get it.

Great comic shop! The staff is really helpful, especially the owner John. Great selection and fun game nights. You get a very welcoming vibe to the culture of comics and gaming in this store. I highly recommend this store. They also have a loyalty reward program. It keeps me coming back. I drive 30 mins to get to this comic shop and will never go anywhere else.

Be carful of this store. After years of spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars here (even though eBay tends to be 10-15% cheaper) the store manager, Glen, decided to not let us host tournaments (9th age, community supported). We’ve been hosting tournaments here for about 5 years with 10-14 people showing up each time. All of us buy our models, paints, and other hobby supplies there but because the game has no official product they won’t support our tournaments anymore. The weird part is they still have legacy game tournaments and those don’t have product support either. I think the store policy is more set by which games the manager, Glen, likes or dislikes. Luckily Brookhurst hobbies is just a couple miles away and they have already agreed to support our tournament scene as they have a “come one, come all” open door policy and they have a wider selection of inventory! Although I can’t change store policy, I do get to vote with my dollar. In an industry that thrives off community building, it saddens me to have this stores manager push out customers that have been there over a decade.

Just moved here, so been looking for a new comic shop, and very glad I stumbled into this one.I walked in and it was table game day, so a little cramped... didnt get to look around as much as Id like, but I like what I saw, got caught up on some issues Id been missing, and look forward to exploring it more.

Amazing staff amazing people amazing products. Personally, as a huge fan of Warhammer,I feel at home everytime I step in. Whether an occasional chat with an employee or another customer, I always feel welcomed. This is by far my favorite store.

I loved going to this place for Heroclix games. The judge at this venue (Will) is knowledgeable and friendly and prizing is always generous.

Great local hobby shop with good selection for a relatively small space. They host weekly events to encourage people from the community meeting up and have something for just about everyone.

Real cool people to play games with. Intimate selection, and theyll order what they dont have in inventory quickly. They host the Edgemont Role-playing and Adventurers Club.

Went in trying to look for some back issues, got slapped across the face with the smell of nasty Chinese food as soon as I opened the door, seemed like a nice store looked around and found the back issue area which is right next to some tables for playing card/board games, tried to squeeze in there but it was littered with the backpacks of some kids playing a game, whatever right? As I make my way down to search for what I need it hit me, I was suffocated by the smell of a Los Angeles hobo who soiled himself on a summer afternoon, whoever that guy was needed to reconsider his priorities, Ive been collecting comics for 15 years & Ive always had time to shower b4 heading to my local shop in consideration of my fellow mans nostrils. This place is really nice but damn make it where these kids can play their game and allow the customer to have access to your products without having to spoon with the guys on the table. Not that youd considering spooning them anyways cus even on his worst day Swamp-Thing smells better and hes from a freggin swamp, If youre done with the Chinese throw it out man, it smelled like the dog peed himself before they made him into orange chicken and just used the pee to marinate the meat, 1st and last time here

Best card shop in area for Magic simply due to the fantastic crowd that plays there. They dont have the selection of Frank and Sons (no place does), but Franks doesnt draw in the same sportsmanlike crowd and is only open 2 days a week. Magic players meet on Friday and occasionally Saturday.

It had a wife variety of products for fair prices.

John (the owner) treats all of his customers really well and goes out of his way to help.Regular gaming is scheduled for Magic the Gathering, Warmachine/Hordes and Star Wars X-Wing & Armada.Store is kept clean, unlike many other game shops and has a restroom for customers.

Clean and neat store BUT Incredibly stingy on game prize support and lacking in judge support. When you make $20 on a store champ kit, you dont hand out one promo card a piece and keep 20+ THEN not give out the most valuable cards to save them for a future tournament people from out of town cant and wont be able to attend. On top of that, then have your TO and judge (who didnt really know the game) leave halfway through your biggest tournament for that game? Cmon. We were left self reffing at an official store championship with a lady who knew nothing about the game and wasnt very friendly.To top it all off, when you have people make the trip to play in said hostage Promo tournament and can break even on a $15 prize kit, you give the whole thing out! You dont refuse to run a tournament. I have no doubt if 4 people had showed up we would have been given half the kit, because thats how stingy this store is.You break even and maybe make a few bucks and players will come back. I know a good number wont be back now after this garbage.Visit gameology or dice house instead. Theyre not into micromanaging nickels and dimes.
