Initially I was extremely excited when my wife found this place on the internet. They were a distributor of our favorite high end meat from Snake River farms and now that we found this place we didnt have to mail order and wait days. It also didnt matter to me that they were 50 minutes from our home in Torrance. When we arrived, the store looked amazing and we saw so many cuts we wanted to purchase that we made several rounds looking at them all before asking for help. Even the employe that helped us was friendly and even suggested a few cuts that we ended up gleefully purchasing. We opted for the Prime Saratoga Ribeys at 44.99 a piece. I was pretty impressed at how they trimmed and prepped them for us. After we rushed home and fired up the grill with a combination of hickory charcoal and white oak... they cooked perfectly on our cast iron and we were stoked!We couldnt wait to eat even though they needed to rest...SADLY, and Im bummed out to say... they flavor was pretty bad. Unfortunately they tasted no different then Ralphs bargain ribeye. I know I seasoned and cooked them perfectly... but they were just flavorless. It pains me to write such a bland review because truly it was a great experience for us (except for the eating part 😭) ... but dinner was just bad. Im sure were just that odd percentage that doesnt work out because there are so many other five star reviews...but for whatever reason... it didnt pan out for us. Service was great. Maybe well go back again someday.

Yeah this place is awesome. It is super classy and just walking in you feel the cleanliness and the presentation of their products are just top class. Quality is definitely important here. I will update this after the weekend to give a review of the meat we purchased.The quality of the meat was excellent.

Ive bought bison steaks here before, always fresh and good quality. Had to try bison after reading a number of western gold rush era books , that got me interested . I cant believe bison is not more popular its better for you ,it has less fat. Im going there today an buy a rib eye, its gonna be good along with watching the super goat and the little goat go at it on Superbowl Sunday...cheers yaall !

Got the Italian sub. It was a heavy sandwich but almost flavorless if not for the pesto sauce. At $12.99..hard to say its really worth it compared to other places. I think even subway was better to be honest. Yeah, this place will pack your sandwich with a great deal of meat but thats not what makes a good sandwich in my opinion. Gotta have pepperoncini, other spices, etc to make a good italian sammy. It weighed 1 lb 6.8 ounces. Heavy yes, flavorful not too much

Amazing butcher shop. We came for some hanger steaks because it’s the only place I could find that sells them. I’d recommend you come check this place out, especially if you’re a meat enthusiast.

Highest quality beef, pork and chicken as well as Buffalo and some exotics. Fresh cheeses and delicious meats too. Even the ground beef is amazing!Try the jidori chicken breast. You will never eat grocery store meat again.

After a whirlwhid year like we have had meeting establishments and people like Ryan at the butchery serves to erase all the bad the world can sometimes dish. I only gave this place 5 stars because that was the most google would allow. Their level of quality and attention to customer is beyond that you find in most businesses these days. Great selection, very informative and transparent with their products and origins. The staff is attentive and helpful.Bought some beef plate ribs and pork spare ribs. The beef ribs came out very tender and flavorful off the smoker.The pork ribs were among the best I’ve had. Not sure of the breed, I forgot to ask. It’ll be hard to ever go back to commodity pork though. Will be back, hoping they have some heritage breed pork. These people will take care of you, and their product speaks for itself!.

Ive been coming here since they opened about 3 years ago in brea and all I can say is this the best butchery I have ever been to. All their meats are locally sourced and they even give you the name of the farm where they are raised . I care strongly about where they are raised and cared for. The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help every single time.They have a large selection of cheeses as well and you can try every single one before you buy. I travel a long way for this quality shop. They have a big beer selection as well as some specialty items like chimichurri and dry rubs. This place is 10/10! Not only is their beef but incredible but their chicken wings and chicken breast as well. Im a returning customer many times over. The price is very reasonable for the quality you will get!

Ive been going here for years for various high quality meats and cheeses. They provide a great atmosphere, experience and have great excellent customer service.

Bought some pretty affordable steaks, and they were the best Ive had in a long time. Were talking only like $40 for a few hanger steaks. Theyve got some really high-end stuff if you want to splurge, but theyve also got good quality meat for folks who arent made of money.

Amazing quality meats. The best cuts Ive seen anywhere. Exotic choices for the adventurous pallet. My go to is the whiskey bourbon tips and house chicken. Well worth the price for special occasions and family functions. Spendy for the daily meals. However, quality is never cheap.

If you want to cook a great steak, you need to start off with great meat. Ive NEVER been disappointed here. From the selection to the quality or to the knowledgeable friendly staff.Word of caution though, you get what you pay for. Its pricey. And worth every penny.

First time here! Found this place in a Google search, read the reviews and headed over to check them out. I was specifically looking for pork belly and Nicole told me they had it when I called. The folks working there were super helpful and I left with 2.5lbs of pork belly, a pound of ground venison and some pretzel buns. My son grabbed some candied walnuts as well. They offer a huge variety of quality meats including American Wyagu beef. Prices are what you might expect for quality meats and the choices are amazing for the size of the store. Great first impression and I will definitely be coming back to try a variety of their offerings!

It is expensive but you just have to try this life affirming experience. Purchased a filet and a ribeye and some chicken. Cooked the steaks to rare medium rare and had my mind absolutely blown. The filet literally began to disolve in my mouth. I could eat it every day of my life and never gain a pound. Just the most lean and tasty filet Ive eaten. The marbling on the ribeye was spectacular. I usually dont eat the fat on my steaks but this was something special.Why are you still reading? Just go. Battling depression? Go buy the meats. Im not a doctor but if I was, I would prescribe this to anyone feeling like theres not a lot of reason to grind through tough times. Seriously, do yourself a favor. Give these people your money, you wont regret it.

The place where I regularly buy my cheeses. My favorite, Noord Hollander, 4 year old Gouda! I love the aged Beemster too but they stopped selling it. Please dont drop the Noord!
