I had my septum pierced here by Kevin. I walked in nervous because this isnt my usual studio but after my experience it will be! As soon as I walked in I was put at ease, Kevin was very nice and immediately started joking around with me and made it an overall pleasurable experience! My piercing came out great and I was given a card to call if I had ANY questions. Overall a very good, professional, but fun experience I highly recommend!!

Went for a piercing. They made sure I was comfortable the whole time and it was over before I knew it. Love Transcend for my tattoos andmy piercings.

Alethea is INCREDIBLE! so patient and kind. her experience with almost 30 years of being a tattoo artist means she knows what she’s doing inside and out. i will absolutely go to her for any other tattoos i plan to get.

Tl;dr got tattooed here, developed a bad infection despite following all the aftercare to the letter.I went to Meghan for a tattoo on a recommendation from a coworker. The day-of experience was very positive, and I was happy with my tattoo. However, within days - despite following aftercare instructions to the letter - my tattoo became infected and I developed cellulitis. I texted Meghan, who told me that she didnt see anything to be concerned about. Do not go here; they dont care about your health, just your money.

DO NOT come here for piercings. I booked an appointment for my daughter to have her ears pierced as the one and only Christmas present. I researched the best place on the shoreline but am extremely disappointed and shocked! When my daughter arrived they claimed to not have an appointment but said they could take her. She stated clearly that the only caveat is she wanted them even. She came out in tears with uneven piercing, she subsequently went back to have him take the earnings out and he said he could not do that??? I called to talk it out with him and he was RUDE and dismissive!!! I’m not a person who expects perfection and I’m very flexible but this was such a horrible experience!!! Inexcusable!

Besides the focus she put into my tattoo ( expected of any tattoo artist) the place just made you feel uncomfortable. This was not my first tattoo so I have been around other tattoo shops and they all seem to welcome you and you work together to get the art you want. The first couple tattoos I did were with a man from another location who always took time to ask how your doing and made sure you were aware of all the details he would be adding just in case. This shop takes professional to the next level. I probably only said 4 full sentences to her and towards the end of the appointment she seemed to get a sarcastic tone. I had someone with me and she clearly understood that when I looked at her I was done being here. For most of the tattoo I had to keep my arm above my head and it obviously began to fall asleep so I would bring it downward a bit when she went to get more ink. According to her it was way to much movement and it was becoming stressful. It went for longer than an hour and my arm was losing blood to it so I didn’t see the problem with flexing my arm a couple times. This isn’t targeting the artist but I probably would go somewhere that is worth taking the time out of my day and leave me with a better memory of getting the art done on me.The artwork turned out great so I can appreciate the job but when I go get my others I definitely will be going back to my old location.

This place was awesome. Kevin pierced my nose for me. He was amazing I didnt even feel it. I will be going back in a few weeks for a tattoo next. The artwork on the walls are amazing.

Great experience here! Got my cartilage pierced last year and cane again to get my nose pierced. Kevin is very friendly and made my experience painless and easy. Will definitely come back and suggest this place to my friends

Amazing artists! Colin H. did my tattoos and a relatives. He definitely works with you to give you what you want and will explain what would be in your best interest.Hes the guy who would say, I can do X if you want, but I recommend Z. Clean facilities, private rooms, proper needle disposal, super relaxed and comfortable. Colins serious about keeping his workspace clean and preventing contamination of any sort. I have not received any service from the other artists there but they are kind and helpful, based upon my brief interactions.

Alethea is AMAZING. She’s my go to for any work I️ have done. She’s super sweet and just so talented! Highly recommend her and Transend!

Ive gotten a nose piercing as well as a double forward helix piercing here. Both were great experiences. Piercer was nice and everything was done sterile and safely. The piercer was straightforward and I left knowing everything I needed to about my new piercings. I would definitely recommend and I will continue going here for my piercings.

I recently was tattooed by Alethea, who was friendly, nice and who did an amazing tattoo. I havent gotten one in over 15 years and she initially went slow and made sure I was comfortable throughout. The tattoo healed beautifully and I am obsessed with my new ink! I highly recommend Alethea!!

Tattoo artist Anthony Plaza did a led-zeppelin swan song piece on my shoulder and it came out amazing!!! It is the best, most realistic swansong tattoo that I have ever seen. Anthony is a purely talented tattoo artist! Transcend tattoo studio doesnt have one artist who is not awesome!

Incredible experience! This was my first tattoo, and Meg helped me to feel so comfortable. She was so easy to talk to and totally understood my vision for the tattoo. Three and a half hours later, im left with an amazing piece of artwork that i am so proud to have on my body.

Alethea is the best artist Ive worked with. She knows just how & where too place your artwork. Is very creative.

Wouldnt say it was my worst experience but not worth the time. Felt as though the staff didnt want to do their jobs, when thats what Im paying them to do! Found primordial ink, also in Branford, not far from this shop and fell in love right away. Would recommend checking them out first!

Editing this review: I went in to get my nose stud changed and they downsized me without me knowing, so when I changed to a ring a couple months later I had to stretch it a bit. not a huge deal but kind of a lazy mistake
