Very tired. I am 50 yrs old. My point is. Misunderstandings can happen. I dont dive. I am a Hazmat hauler. My interest with any company was defogger. .All is well wellanswered my question ..

I have nothing but good things to say about my Open Water diving certification that I received from Woods and Water. Our instructor Eddie was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond answering any questions I had. Eddie made the class time, pool and open water dives truly enjoyable. The store is a one stop shop of great gear and should have anything you need might need for whatever kind of diving you are wanting to do. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Woods and Water for any of the SSI dive certifications they offer!

My girlfriend took the open water certification with Eddie as the instructor. I joined in the course as a refresher. We had a great time with the course all around. The content, the instruction, and skills practice with feedback combined to give a beginner diver the confidence and comfort to get a great start for scuba diving. Looking forward to take advantage of the shop and dive trips they offer.

Friendly, knowledgeable and no pressure! Large, father-son family friendly shop with lots of new, modern and old, hard to find items at respectable pricing. Heck, I found a hole rack of $20 Lycra Skins! Their training philosophy focuses on making you a real self-sufficient and safe diver. If you are self-entitled, pampered, or have the will you take care of that for me mentality, dont even walk in the door. My family dives because its relaxing, rewarding and promotes individual achievement. We will not carry or assemble your gear just because you want a perspiration trophy. You have to earn it!

They seemed nice at first and gave the impression they were there to help. But I soon established the agenda was to push their products and make sales at the customers expense. I explained to them that I simply couldnt afford the equipment from them so I had to buy online. I was then told they would not let me take the certification course unless I bought their equipment. I have no intention of recommending this place to anyone and advise that you seek out any other shop but this one.

Woods & Water was the first dive shop we went into looking to purchase gear (BCD, regulator, etc.). After leaving to visiting a couple more shops in the area to see what was out there, I found that Woods & Water had the best gear, at a great price, and with staff I was happy to give my business to. Eddie was friendly, thorough, knowledgable, and patient as we asked MANY questions throughout the process. Im looking forward to going on dives with this shop in the future! I feel compelled to share the terrible encounter my wife had today at this store, and to a lesser extend, ensure all understand their non-standard return policy.My wife took our kids into the store to purchase a few items for Boy Scouts. As kids do, they ended up touching items in the store...specifically during the time my wife was signing the credit card slip. While she was signing, the salesman told my wife that our kids were touching stuff and were about to get yelled at. Before she had the opportunity to react, he felt it appropriate--as a stranger--to address my 8 year old son by sternly telling him that whatever he was touching was not a toy and he was being disrespectful by touching it. This, in itself, is not what really offended us--although I cant necessarily agree that it was appropriate. It was his follow-on comment after my wife sternly addressed the wrongdoings of them touching something with our kids and apologizing to the salesman stating that she was very sorry and kids shouldnt act like that, that he further felt that he should say, No, they shouldnt. This service is unacceptable, and if my wife wouldve let me, I wouldve went in and had a face-to-face with this gentlemen. Instead, were leaving reviews and sharing with all the Boy scout and Cub scout packs (and camping/scuba buddies) that we can that this is not a family friendly store. Lesson learned...we wont go in there for Cub scout items...nor all the scuba stuff Ill be needing as Im starting scuba.On a side note, all should understand that the return policy is--in general--there are no returns. In the rare case they take something back, you only get store credit. Of course, this is contrary to most stores these days that allow you to return unused, in new condition items within a certain period of time with a receipt for a full refund.Go elsewhere.Cheers!

I learned how to scuba dive here, they were very helpful and respectful .I appreciate all of the effort from the staff whenever I go in. Definitely recommend this great group of people for anyone looking to learn how to breath under the water !
