Went to the store a few weeks ago with my daughters to pick up a few things. One of my daughters works there and Debra the manager didnt acknowledge me or my other daughter. The vibe in the store is negative energy from all. I was in Columbus, Ohio this past week and went to their Joann store and felt at ease and the employees were happy and helpful. I would love to see the Brandon store be half as good.

I usually go to Michael’s but I wanted to give this store a try and I regret it. Customer service is really bad. They move everything around to random sections and get bothered at you for not finding it and then ladies up front cared more about their conversation then the line and when she was going to ring me up she acted like I was interrupting her and didn’t even greet me or my two children and failed to say anything polite or nice. Made me feel like I was a bother instead of a customer.. NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN.

Great store with almost everything that you need for day to day crafting. Staff is generally friendly and helpful.Took off one star because it is always hot in this store and they only have one disabled motorized cart and its not kept in the front of the store.

In there are some pretty cool stuff that you can do it if you cant get because you dont live in the kind of country that really makes it happen. Like if you need a specific kind of art piece or you need some clothing done from your cultural aspect.

We wanted to pitch in and make masks for health care workers and Joann Fabrics is supposed to be supplying kits for people to make them, per why they are allowed to be open.We waited in line for an hour while people were let in a few at a time for social distancing. The line went all the way back to the Publix. The highlight of our long wait was a very happy woman with a shopping cart full of goodies loudly letting all of us know the liquor store next door did not have a line. Smiles and laughter ensued.Well, when we got in they were out of the wicking and the elastic to make masks and had None in the store. Hmm, okay. (I dont think they had any kits)I wanted the family to make our own masks to be safe while grocery shopping and when I have to go into the office anyway, so we made a plan.Dense fabric sections , no flannel, from the sale area, ribbon (with some flex) woven cord and cotton batting. (you need a barrier and cloth only is not good protection for you) We found every thing we needed and made our way to check out.I had a 20% off coupon and the cashier was very friendlyMy disappointment about the health care workers mask kits, we did not get to make and donate, is why my review isnt 5 stars. If your going to announce a charitable project have the supplies.

I went into this store today to purchase flowers for my home per the site that were in stock total of 8! Per the associate they were out of stock she believed & could call another store to locate them & place a special order to have them delivered to my home! I spent almost a hour in this store , the associate was able to locate them however she was having problems with placing the order! She requested manager assistance twice and both times no one came to attempt to assist her, the second time the manager advised she couldn’t be of any assistance if the computer wouldn’t allow! I’m highly dissatisfied I would’ve preferred the manager attempt to assist rather ignore a customer that has been waiting for almost a hour! I work for one of the top 5 banks and we would never treat a customer let alone try to assist them! & yes I do feel if I had been a white woman the treatment would’ve been different! Waste of time, loss of business!!!

It was a really nice drive. The store is larger than the store in Lakeland. It was worth the ride to have a larger selection of fabrics to choose from.

First time for me on this joann, had to get some Fabric. Found it fast in the isles, wasnt that busy. Has to wait a few minutes for it to be cut and priced and I went my way. Thank you

That day I actually enjoyed shopping there. For the first time the sales associates were awesome, a pleasure to interact with and helpful. Thumbs up to the ladies who were working Monday August 3 at 4 pm the customer service was impeccable and they were truly happy to help. Long time coming!!

Seriously slow even though it is noon on a Wednesday. No clue why. Most people in line only had 2 or 3 things in their carts. 2 ladies simply abandoned their carts and left the store. Only reason I am here is because our local yarn shop closed.

Walked in we found what were looking for. Found lots of great sales. Along check out line but the cashier did a great job to keep the line moving.

Joanns is helping this Dad with young daughters budding imagination and her school projects. Otherwise Joanns has been Moms fabric store since she got into sewing drapes and such. We dont leave empty handed and the COupons are AWESOME!

Why does Joanns stock so much fleece in Florida in July? Theres nearly no cotton, linen or light weight fabric. But rows and rows of fleece. Its 100 degrees here in Tampa. I love to sew but theres nothing to choose from and you fill the store with fleece. ??????

If youre into arts and crafts, this is your store. Even if you dont dabble in a hobby, you can find something here that will tickle your fancy.

I really enjoy going to Joanns, when I only want to spend a little time I end up being there much longer because there is such a large selection. Ive never gone in here and not found what I needed and more.My only issue is that the checkout line always takes such a long time. The line is often backed up but for some reason theres only about two cashiers, so the check out process takes far too much time.

We use JOANN for all our framing needs. They always do a beautiful job.

When things are normal, the staff is friendly and helpful, but considering what were all dealing with now, the ladies and gentlemen who work at this JoAnn location are really going above and beyond.Theyre all still being polite, professional and helpful. 5 stars, 10/10 would go again.

Nice variety of fabrics and sewing accessories, but everything is very expensive. You could receive discount coupon by email, but always read carefully before using then, most of the time it does not apply for fabrics. I found most of the my sewing accessories cheaper at Walmart. The customer service was great. The employee at the register was accommodating even when the coupon wouldnt read on my phone. The only reason not 5 stars, the wait time to purchase. It took a while for extra help to show at the register. But once extra help came, the lines moved quickly.

The customer service here is terrible. I walked up to 2 employees who were talking only to have them scatter. I followed one and asked if they had fusible weft. (I had already checked the website and saw that they carry ultra weft and had looked through most of the fusibles not to find what I was looking for.) I clearly was completely bothering this person who was standing next to the fusibles section with my silly question. She didnt understand what I was asking for, didnt want to help me look, and just told me to go through everything which I had already been doing prior to asking for help. I also was looking fo silk or silk satin which this store also doesnt carry so I left. From now on, Im better off ordering fabric and supplies online rather than attempting to come here and supporting this ridiculousness.

Was in the store on 12/19 around 2pm, The check out line was long, it should not take 30 minutes to pay for your purchase. The manager was no where to be found. Nice store but management dosent care about the customers. She had employees stocking shelves and wouldnt open any more registers. Maybe a regional manager will pay attention.

Today this have been a good place to shopping we found all we was looking for and was also a first day someone asked for my military service, no one has ever asked before today. Today someone there showed respect for my military services. Thank you.

I love this place. Has a much, much better selection of specialty crafting supplies than Michaels. The staff is more knowledgeable & helpful. And I find the store easier to navigate.

I needed mega help and was treated as if I was the only person in the store, trust me, it was so busy! I think the young ladies name was Debra(?) & she helped me find a pattern, crochet hook, etc..I dont know how to sew & needed the help, she was there. It didnt take anytime for checkout either..great experience!

I was very surprised at the great sale plus an associate tall blond lady very helpful with patience helped alot I not only got my yarn but got 3 plants at a discount. The lines there are always long but went fast. I have a bad knee so to stand too long would be hurtful for me. Good experience today, was very surprised! To be honest.

Awful customer service. They have a huge sign outside that says to call for order pick up but they dont answer the phone. The person distributing the pick up orders has no clue what she is doing. After going into the store waiting behind someone else that she couldnt assist she tells us to wait to run out and attend to someone that pulled up outside even though we had arrived prior to them. Only after my boyfriend said he was going to go get the item from the bin himself did she stop & go get it. Poorly executed planning for this. Yes, I realize that this is a huge change for everyone but the same rules apply to basic customer service. Dont offer a service that you cant execute.

Went specifically to buy a case for my sewing machine, and asked a woman sitting behind a sewing machine in that little carpeted area if she worked THERE for the Viking Sewing Store, and she ignored me and looked at her ipad again. She must have thought I asked if she worked for Joanns, because it turns out its a separate store, just inside Joanns. The other woman didnt ignore me and helped me buy what I was looking for. Odd that the employees of Viking are not employees of Joanns when its the same company.

Great place to buy fabric and craft supplies. Huge selection of many many items to choose from my only complaint is the prices. Unless you are set up with coupons or the app, it can be very expensive. Service is great, many help helpful staff are present through the store

There was a bit of wait line in the fabric department

Great for fabrics, sewing, needlecraft, and yarn. Their selections in all the other sections of the store are limited and/or are not stocked well. The benefits of the former far outweigh the negatives of the latter, especially if you dont have the budget or time for finding specialty stores for textiles.

Definitely don’t practice social distancing and as usual, only have one person working registers but then have about 3 people cutting fabric. Makes no sense. Went in for some yarn and patterned fabric. I asked one of the ladies cutting fabric when they restock and her answer was “when we get more get more fabric”. Really? Then another lady behind the counter heard and told me what day they restock. I waited about an 40 min in a crowded line that looped around an aisle before I said forget it and just went to Michaels across the way instead. Not worth it. I get through the DMV faster than I ever get through this location.

Not the Joann Fabrics of yesteryear. Theyve got pretty much anything you need for your sewing projects as well as arts and crafts. Sign up for their frequent shopper program to get coupons. The cashiers will even help you get them on your first visit.

Loved all the different options of fabric and not expensive at all for the big piece Ill got. I like this store, Just super annoying that theyre understaffed and super slow at the cashier line. Waited 20 min just to buy one thing. The older lady cashier that checked me out even complained that I had a $20 bill and she didnt have any change to give me. Apparently everyone was bringing 20s that day. My thing is...thats not my problem. No one knows in the line to have smaller bills.

Their stock is decent, but the lines are always horrible. The cashiers tend to move at a pretty slow pace. I waited in line, for 15 minutes, when there were only 2 people in front of me, with 3 registers open. Two of the cashiers decided to stop and chat for a few before taking another customer. I cant speak on all cashiers, but every trip takes at least 15 minutes, 1 minute to grab what is needed, and 14 to wait in a short line.

I am VERY upset on what happened to me while picking up my curbside order today at this location. First off I didn’t receive an email and it’s been 3 hours already I called and then she found my order ASAP so I headed to the store and parked right in the front where everyone entering and exiting the store can clearly see me. I called once I arrive and had NO ONE answer my phone for over 10 minutes I called 3 times. I see 2 associates near the door and near the phones and no one came to me, I didn’t go inside for personal reasons. Finally NICOLE picked up the phone and instantly started to giggle I was not happy at all. She took my name and looked for my order she then seems like she wanted to put me on MUTE, but she DIDNT. she then proceeds to say “ where’s the order where’s the order “ and starts to speak to a guy I heard his voice unsure what he said. She then proceeds to say “ HER NAME IS BRITNEY MARIE SOUNDS LIKE A BLACK PERSONS NAME “ and instantly GIGGLED. I am on mute I did not say anything because I wanted to see her FACE TO FACE. she comes outside nervously laughing and I ask her if she said that on the phone and she continue to laugh and say she did not say that. I am 20 years old, my ears are perfectly fine I heard what she said clearly. As she apologized she just kept on laughing and smirking which I do NOT appreciate. As a customer who goes to Joanns almost 4 times a week and I’ve seen her multiple times I did not appreciate the type of service I got at this store. Next time I go in I will definitely be speaking to a manager. This is ridiculous and this was NOT my first time receiving such horrible customer service at this store but there’s not another one near me. IF YOUR NOT GONNA SAY ANYTHING NICE DO NOT SAY IT AT ALL!!! You can see the lies in her face as she was nervously shaking, red and giggling!!! DISRESPECTFUL. Especially with the things that are happening now I would never racially profile ANYONE but it seems like NICOLE does. if you guys do not do anything to solve this problem of such horrible customer service maybe you should hire me because that’s not what the neighborhood needs!!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. THANKYOU.
