I can’t say enough about Sally at the Baxter location. She was excellent and guiding me through the boat building process and never ever was there any pressure. She allowed me the time I needed to feel comfortable with my purchase. She also set me up at the guys excelsior location to check out some boats due to low inventory. The guys there were great too. Horrible communication and lack of customer service!!!! We purchased a boat this summer. Part of the bill of sale was a trailer inspection which we were informed the trailer passed. My husband and I asked numerous times if the trailer was going to be safe to drive back to Colorado and we were told yes the trailer is safe and good to go.Well we broke down around 5 hours away from Baxter,MN. We were informed that multiple leaf springs on the trailer were broken and of these several had already been broken beforehand. The repairman confirmed this by the condition metal you can clearly see which ones just broke and the springs that had already been missing!!!! The repairman told us that this should have easily been seen in a trailer inspection.Honestly we could have had a very serious situation on our hands and we are very lucky no one was hurt. The tires were rubbing against the trailer wheel wells when we pulled over to look and were very close to popping! We are lucky we were stopping and looking at the trailer to see how it was traveling.We ended up stranded for 2 days while the trailer was fixed. Inboard Motor has been unwilling to admit fault or to cover the cost of the needed repairs. Let alone we are experiencing fragmented uncommunication and poor customer support or service. Had we been told the trailer needed new leaf springs at the time of purchase, we absolutely would have fixed this at the time!!! The last thing you want is an accident with a boat on a trailer travelimg long distance!!!!
